The more you show the more interesting it becomes. I like the fact you are allowing us to see this world part by part and having it explained to Daniel allows us to appreciate it as well. I liked how you worked in the root of this war in this story. I wonder though if the Demon is taken inside or does it also live in a piece of jewelry until it too can escape. Nice chapter over all.

Your stories always have such pain in them. This was no exception. I am glad that for Ephraim the pain is eased but hope like hell his tormentors are caught and punished appropriately. Okay I'm writing this again. I think this was a hard story to read in the beginning. I dislike anyone who can abuse someone. I forgive his father at the end. Lord talk about large tools. I've read the whole story till here. I am to say disappointed would be an understatement. Here he had been warned and instead he lied and is now cheating. Truthfully if he can't commit and be honest I hope he dropped and never taken back. I like him as a character but this isn't just a minor character flaw. I feel like I have been attacked by someone I trusted. He has others lying for him. God help him when Sophia discovers he is cheating on her son with Kyle.

Rats, Frosty beat me to the first review. Oh well. 1) You handled the sex very well. I was glad to see that at least one of them was a bit panicked over the sex. Dan still is such a sweetheart. I really like him a lot. 2) I like that we are learning about this world as Dan does. It allows us to be taken along the ride. I don't need it spelled out for me if I am discovering along with Dan. I like he has made friends with the family. It gives him another tie to this world besides Matt so when the war comes, and yes we know it is coming, he has more than one reason to fight. 3) You have been teasing us with Hquaio for a while now. Miniatures in one chapter, his name again and again. Finally we here his voice. So next we get an answer. 4) Only one more question .... how soon till the next one.

Stu you are driving me nuts here. okay I kept reading, sue me. This story gets better as you go along. I liked how each one keeps offering up parts of himself for the other. I agree with Frosty - Don't need the details but the aftermath is going to be necessary so we know how both deal with this major step in their relationship. Just pretend you are teasing Mark. lol. Okay I'm reading this in pretty much one sitting. Just did the first 12 Chapters. So happy with the story so far. Glad to see the format straightened out. It was taking me out of the story. Just a couple of quick comments. 1. Matt seems to still be growing into his powers. Was scared as hell seeing him shoot out the energy early in the story but glad to see he seems totally at home now that he and Dan are together. This new power of vision is going to be interesting to see what you do with it. 2. Dan is growing to be a true sweet heart here. I am glad he got past Owen and has forgiven himself. I like how he is fighting for his own position in this coming battle. I do hope he isn't killed off. I still want to know why such a powerful spirit found him so suitable. She hasn't told him yet and I think that is something you hopefully will explain to us. 3. Finally could you give us some sort of idea what the lovers of the Lords and Mistress are suppose to be doing. You have shown servants and made references to the various lovers as we meet them but what is their job? They sit just below their Lord/Mistress in meetings but are they just toys, partners, fighters, or is there a particular thing they are suppose to do. I just feel they haven't had their place fully explained. Great story and will finish it after I get home from work later today.
