Gay Authors Officially 15 Years Old on 9/13
comicfan commented on Myr's blog entry in Gay Authors Archive
I was looking for something to read when I found GA. I blame @Lugh for joining. I read some of his stuff and wanted to comment. Of course once you join you go into chat, start talking, make friends, and then begin to post. Of course, I joined back in March 2011. It wasn't long before I was praying my work would get past @Cia, then worked with @Frostina, @Renee Stevens, and many others. This while reading @Nephalim, @Andrew_Q_Gordon , and @K.C. as well as other talented writers. I made friends and proudly call GA home. Luckily, some people like what I do so I still write. Thanks everyone. -
Reading and how it influenced your writing
comicfan replied to FormerMember4's topic in Writer's Circle
Books started being a love affair at an early age. My mother would read to me all sorts of stories. As I got older I read to her. When school started there was a program called RIF - Reading is Fundamental. They allowed a child to pick out a book to own and it was paid for by the program. I was in kindergarten and picked out a book of fairy tales. The woman running the program said the book would be too hard, and didn't I want a Cat in the Hat story. Needless to say I went home with my book of fairy tales. I did the Encyclopedia Brown stories, the Hardy Boys, the three investigators, The tales of Narnia, The hobbit, and then so much more. I'm drawn to fairy tales and myths. Happens to pop up in my writing. -
Music will vary depending on the mood I'm going for. Happy, sad, travelling, peaceful, angry, and others. Music always tells a story and sets a mood. Always helpful.

Bradley didn't read his contract. Little did he realize his payments for the house were going to be used as his dowry. Now he is about to get the man he has been having sexy dreams about for the past year, the king no less. I don't think Puck will find Bradley's life or clothes boring any more. Thanks for commenting. -

Glad you enjoyed it, Mike. I've expanded it from the original. Not sure if I'll do more, but there seems to be interest. -

Thank you. I don't know whether to be sad or happy for Bradley. I can say things won't be boring. -

I'm glad you enjoyed this. No plans of a crossover, although I might come back for one more chapter. -
Buzzz! Buzzz! Buzzz! The buzzer for Bradley’s alarm clock pierced the silence, and he blindly felt for the button to kill the noise. “Too damn early,” he mumbled as he grabbed his glasses and slid them on. He hurried to the bathroom to pee, wash his face, and brush his teeth. He was on automatic pilot, just going about his normal routine. “I need to get a haircut,” he mumbled as he pushed his hair out of his eyes. Bradley stumbled to the kitchen and started his Keurig before pouring himsel

Originally this story was written as part of the pick two. After posting, many people asked for it to be expanded, so I have done so. Bradley bought a home a year ago. Since then he has had some great dreams if nothing else. Today his doorbell rang and now his life is changing forever.

Chris had a class that was able to prepare him for life. From banking to cooking, sex to history, if he was interested in it, he was taught about it. I think we all wish for that kind of knowledge. Thanks for commenting BHopper2.

Thank you Jeff. My stories are only hosted here. I always worry if have enough or did I go too far. I depend on my beta to help keep it readable. I'm glad you enjoyed ir. Sorry for the late reply.

Basically I've run into a problem. Due to issues with my health and then not having a computer, the normal people I tap for beta work aren't able to do it anymore. In some cases it is real life has interfered, which I can understand, or they have sort of faded away from GA. Just so people know, I was made aware by a reader of one story left undone. To be honest, it was a 10 chapter story, 5 were up and my beta found a plot hole you could drive a cruise ship through starting in 6. No problem, I could just redo 6 to 10. Then I got sick, computer died and to be completely honest, I forgot it existed. However, now working to create an ending again and will need someone who can be as honest and tell me where I mess up. That brings me to project 2. Working on another limited chapter story called Dragon''s Hoard. I've advertised for a beta and again, no answer. So while my one shots - Anthology and Halloween contest are nearly complete and shouldn't have an issue with beta or editors for them, sort of sunk on the others. Longer projects require a real commitment. I need both a reader/task master to keep me going. While there is no time schedule to keep, I will not post unless the story is complete. I'd also prefer not to spread this out over months. I'm trying to keep both projets between ten to twelve chapters. If anyone is interested, let me know. Thank you.

Golden Voice - Prompt 589
comicfan commented on comicfan's story chapter in Golden Voice - Prompt 589
Frank has no problem singing in front of groups, his mom has him sing in the choir and solos as well. He just figured he had recorded the rehearsal of play in preproduction. Frank expected to lose his job once Ed found out. Instead, he will shortly be singing the role of Roger. It is just a question of what happens to Barry? Understudy maybe? Lol. -
I think the cameraman has reached the point he doesn't care. Besides, I think her news company will be a bit busy dealing with the fall out. Remember, others have made the same claims but she made sure there was no evidence. This time she pays.

Remember, Emon is telepathic and empathic. He will always know if he needs to challenge or comply with Donay. He will always do whatever is necessary to get the best out of his mate. Glad you enjoyed the prompt, pup. -

I don't know, Dad. I mean they are sort of made for you. They'll help with everything, cheer you teams, enjoy your favorite things. Only problem is you really won't be alone ever again. -

Glad you enjoyed my tale, Chris. -
Bashir strode down the long hallway that would lead to Donay’s chamber. Donay had retired just a few moments ago, but Bashir had no choice and needed to discuss the findings with his leader. He took a deep breath and knocked on Donay’s door. “Who is it?” “Bashir, Sire. I hate to bother you, but we believe we’ve deciphered the message on the box from the Beauts.” “Hold on.” The deep voice was closer and then the door opened to reveal Donay. Bashir bowed. He couldn’t help but n

I've been dealing with eye surgery, but haven't been idle. Thank god for speech to text programs. 1. I've been working on an entry for the Halloween contest. Figured I'd give it a go. 2. Also, way into the fall anthology story. 3. My beta is working on the reworked piece I had done in my prompts, from Cia''s project about opening your door and finding.... Well, mine had a lot of people asking for more. Let's see how much my beta makes me add and rewrite. 4. Working on a multiple chapter story about dragons. Was hoping for a beta but no luck yet. Still writing it though. Hope everyone is enjoying their summer.

Thanks Parker. Part of why I enjoy the prompts and Anthologies.
