    Angel or Human?

Thanks for the comment Stanollie. I just try to see if I can do something a bit different when I write. Glad you liked it.

    Angel or Human?

Glad you liked it Mom. I wanted to do something different. I know whenever the topics come up everyone finds a new take and I just hope to do something a bit different. With the feather from an Angel's wing I wanted to give Jim something he could hold on to and help remind him of the light you can find in life. Glad you read and commented.

    Angel or Human?

Thanks so much Aditus. I really do listen to my beta readers. When you suggest I add or change, I try to what is best and make things better for the final read. Your help and suggestions were greatly appreciated.

    Tail to Tell

Glad you enjoyed this story, Cannd. Sometimes a story ends and it is up to you to decide how you like it or want it to end.

    Tail to Tell

Thank you Poet. I write many different things but this one is done for now.
  6. All done and so worth the read. Hope everyone reads and enjoys them. They are varied and each uses the theme very differently.
  7. Wow. From budding romance to total nutcase. Felt so sorry for him, but if that was me not sure if I would be dating again any time soon. That man didn't know the meaning of the word ending or goodbye.
  8. I've always strongly believed that love finds a way. When the time comes you will be surrounded by those you love who went before you. All the people and all the pets. It is nice to know I am not the only one who thinks that way. Beautiful story with some very strong emotions in it. Great job, Val.

    Tail to Tell

Bill when would I misspell a title? It was there for a reason and I hoped it might peak someone's imagination and get them to read it. Glad you picked up on the clues and it still held your attention. I just so enjoy telling tales.
  10. Interesting use of the theme. I've never read something like this before so I found it really interesting.

    Walking the Line

Nick never had the question of who he wanted in his bed, he knew he was gay. When the time came for him to settle down, unfortunately he confused the friendship of Josie for what he wanted. Josie didn't make it easy for him. It was unfair to for her to say he cheated. He never would do that to Josie. In the end, making Josie into a lover cost him everything. He lost his best friend, and the cherished friends he made when they sided with Josie. He had cut James out of his life completely rather than take a chance on hurting Josie and in the end James was still willing to take a gamble and put it all on the table. Josie finally got her man, children and the life she wanted, but she never fully got over Nick and still was trying to punish him. I hope they both found the happiness they needed. Nicely handled Val.

    Angel or Human?

Bill, I'm glad you enjoyed it. I never know where the ideas come from, but I try my best and hope everyone can find something in them. Thanks for the kind review.

    Chapter 1

I see this and think of both myself and my father. New gray hairs, wrinkles, aches and pains. When did the things you did for fun become something of a challenge? When did you look in the mirror and the face you see get so old? Life happens and we all wear it daily. Interesting piece Bill.

    Morton's Fork

Life is rarely easy and clean. Cole and Rush have just had their lives torn asunder and have major decisions to make. Clay didn't like the choices before him and took a third option that was finally offered. The only constant in their lives seems to be change. I feel bad that in some ways Cole and Rush lose in order for Clay to get a chance at life. i have no clue where you intend to spin these lives next, but I am curious where they will end up. You so keep a reader guessing and wanting more.
  15. The old saying be careful as you climb the ladder of success, for those you harm on the way up, will be happy to smack you on the way back down. The old man got exactly what he deserved. Interesting story Bill. Too bad the man couldn't have reached out and helped those he "loved" instead if forcing them to live in fear.

    Hidden Agenda

Greed at its worst. Forget the people, the planet, and any chance to make things better. Who cares if your children, grandchildren, great grandchildren have to pay the price of your greed. As long as you make the money it is all worth it, right?
  17. Those that are transgendered still have so much that isn't understood. Most people have a hard time trying to figure out what someone gay is and how to treat them. It has to be a hundred times worse when your body and mind are not the same. When what you were born and what you identify with and are don't match. It took incredible strength for Jasmine to survive. Nicely handled.

    Chapter 1

There is so much to take in and say. You did well with the topic, and had him blurring the lines between his work and real life. I was happy to see his partner was willing to back him up if he could get Ryan to come home. Always amazing the affect someone from your past can have on you. Beautifully handled and worth the read.

    Ember Days

Dolores you have such and economy of words here. You really create a mood and deliver on it in spades. Great story. Really enjoyed the horror of it and the chant at the end was the icing on the cake. So glad you added this.

    Backroom Deals

Scary Bill. This seems to be happening right now. The flood gates are open and who knows what is going to come pouring out of it? Thought provoking and worrying.

I love the fact that with your stories, the simplest things can take on the most weight. You have a knack for drawing in a reader and keeping their full attention. I loved how the attempt at being romantic took on such a strange note. You handled it beautifully. Can't wait to see them again.

    Angel or Human?

Eeep. Yet another story someone wants me to expand. I hope you enjoyed what I wrote. I don't know if I will come back to it or not. Writing for the next anthology and trying to finish my next story so it can begin publishing soon.

    Angel or Human?

Truthfully this is one of those stories that came about because of an author I was reading. Our own Nephy had been putting up a story and when I seen her nickname the idea sort of popped into my head. I hoped the days I highlighted gave a sense of what he was dealing with. Thanks for the review, Cole.

    Angel or Human?

I look at it as life is never always so exciting. You have stretches where you just survive with spots of pure joy or pain. The trick is to enjoy the joy, survive the pain, and don't look at the daily life as nothing, try to see the peaceful time and enjoy it. For someone who is half angel and half human that is going to take some work. Thanks for the help, Val.

    Tail to Tell

Thanks for the review Cole. I figured with the idea Blurred Edges I could pretty much go anywhere and I did with this one. Glad you liked it. I've enjoyed playing with the idea of a merman.
