    Chapter 5

Glad you enjoyed it Valkyrie. It was a bit of time getting it out the way I wanted, but I am happy with the results.

    Chapter 5

Thanks Billy. It has been a bit since I was posting regularly, so finding the reviews a nice thing.

    Chapter 5

I tried to leave enough bread crumbs so that there wouldn't be this huge surprise at the end. Glad I could take you on a journey you enjoyed Avidreadr.

    Chapter 5

They were all Santa, just Chris is next in line for the American version. Glad you enjoyed the story Suvitar.

    Chapter 1

I like the way you constructed your story. It is odd to see a story like this and I enjoyed it immensely.
  6. I seem to be on a roll lately. I finished one story and next week we begin a new tale. This time up is going to be Mrs. Benson. Mrs. Benson is a self made woman. She is in control of her world but she also is a very caring woman. When the secrets of her past catch up to her today, everyone is left dealing with the ghosts. Hopefully this little teaser will have you ready for the story that begins next Sunday. Till then, go read Last Christmas and just imagine what sort of tale I'll bring you next.
  7. Nancy was one to watch. Beautiful still.

    Chapter 5

I'm glad you enjoyed the story Gene. I tried to make sure the clues were there from the beginning. I heard a lot of guesses but only one person was giving me the answer before I posted this chapter.

    Chapter 5

Sorry the pacing didn't work for you. I am often accused of rushing through the end. Might have slowed it down a bit too much this time. Thanks for the review.
  10. Well the last chapter of Last Christmas is now live. So let me know what you think.

    Chapter 5

5 Pierre stood in front of Frank looking rather upset. “I told you before, Chris ordered it and until he signs off for it, I am not giving it to anyone.” Frank stood determinedly behind the counter. “Look, Frank is it? Chris wanted this for our father. I am here to pay for it and pick it up. Just take the money and give it to me.” Frank leaned on the counter and smiled. “Sir, I don’t care who you are. I have a contract with Chris. He stated the last time I saw him that he would be here to p
  12. I've yet to meet a cat that wasn't mischievous to some degree.
  13. Glad you enjoyed this Jo. I was hoping it would go over well.
  14. Tricky? Me? Well, maybe.
  15. Cats are unusual creatures and do what they want. I just see Queeny as tripping Max so she can get to the bacon faster.
  16. I'm glad you enjoyed the whole story Kitt. Thanks for the review.

    Prompt 305

Sad take on the prompt, but a very nice story.
  18. Just be grateful everyone is working.
  19. “How did you get into my room?” Max stood looking down at the calico cat that had claimed the center of his bed as her own. “Meeoiw,” the cat rolled over and stared at Max a moment. Then she stood, stretched, walked up to the pillows and lay down again. “Well, gee, thanks for the answer, Queeny.” The cat simply closed her eyes and ignored Max. He sat on the edge of the bed and took off his shoes. He only wore shoes when he left the farm. His feet hurt after hours of walking around with Chris

  21. I've been with GA for a few years now. When I first joined I would have killed to have immediately found a good beta and editor. Over time, for most things I found myself settling down and working with the same two or three incredible people over and over again. It was comfortable, and I knew I could rely on their honest opinions of my work. Flash forward to recently. While there are some damn fine editors working on site the Betas seem to have vanished. What is a Beta? Glad you asked. A beta reader is not an editor. A beta reader is just that, a second reader of a story. They look for things that an author missed or screwed up. I'm not talking spelling or punctuation primarily. A beta is the one who catches when an author changes a character's name by mistake, hasn't given the reader enough information to follow a part of a story, or will point out where an author might have gone over board with the details and is bogging his or her story down making a reader lose interest in what was happening. They help you fill in when you are lacking and cut when you went overboard. They help by asking questions while they read over the work. What did you mean here, because I didn't understand? Where did character A go, because you never mentioned them again? Would love to know what Character B does for a living. You told us a few times he goes to work but as what? Be aware you started this story from Kelly's pov but for the last chapter you switched to Dan's pov and it is the only time you have done that in twenty two chapters. Yes, a beta reader looks for the mistakes, points out where you did well, and helps an author to craft a story worthy of putting before a reader. A good beta is worth their weight in gold. Why am I explaining all this? I will be honest. I am a selfish son of a bitch who has gone looking for a beta since my usual betas have personal issues and are/continue to be unavailable. Therefore I went to the site's Gay Author's Writing Community and asked for a beta. Unfortunately, a once rich source seems to have dried up. Do you enjoy reading? Can you be honest without being offensive? Can you work well with temperamental people? Then go talk to Louis and Jo Ann. There are authors who could use your assistance. Thank you

    Chapter 4

Well there is only one chapter left Billy. Thanks for reading and leaving a comment.
  23. Okay ladies and gentlemen I give. Jonas was put on the back burner when my father went into the hospital two years ago. Truthfully, once he was shelved I wasn't really sure I wanted to finish him. However, there are people who were reading the story and they weren't about to let me forget Jonas. In the last month I have gotten no less than four messages asking me to finish this story. So here is the news. As of right now I have a new editor willing to take on the story. I have two chapters that are written and ready to go. I simply am waiting on a beta reader to get this thing going again. So yes, this hasn't been forgotten. If I can find a beta we can have the first chapter out hopefully within a week or two at most. -Wayne
  24. I promise some hot soup, good steak, and a nice cheesecake for dessert. Would rather coffee or tea, Kitt?
  25. Sly, I am inviting you to dance in my yard when you finish in Kitt's. The snow has been messy and constant this year. I would willingly ship some of the snow storms back West so California wasn't having such a dry spell. What is going to be bad is the melt this year. I can bet parts of the country are going to be really soaked as all that snow melts and heads out of the mountains and into streams and rivers.
