I'm always glad to see someone pick up a prompt and give it a try. Congratulations on completing your first prompt story, Aaron. I too enjoyed your tale. I loved the fact that nothing was quite what you expected any where along the line. I enjoy an author who can keep his audience guessing without making them feel they missed something important. Alright, no one jinx me, but I've been a bit busy. Yes, my muse found me and has kicked me right in the ass. Last year I could barely get the anthologies out. This year, for whatever reason, I've been finishing one project and jumping right into another. At the moment Last Christmas is at its mid point. People seem to be reading and enjoying it. For me that is time to do the happy dance. I'm glad when people take an interest and comment. Lets me know where I did right or where I went off the mark. I've also been working my butt off to get a prompt story done every week. I just want people to know I am working. Mrs. Benson is my next story. It too is completely written and I am sending it to my editor tonight. It will begin posting the week after Last Christmas is done. Then I got a little wake up call. In the last week alone I have received not one, not two, but three completely different notices asking if I was ever going to finish The Strange Life of Jonas Marks. Well, to be honest, the story was shelved when my life hit the skids. First my father's health hit a real rough patch and I nearly lost him. Then I had my back issues. Trust me it is hard to write when you are in pain or taking medicine for that. However, time is a healer. In answer to the many requests, yes Jonas is being worked on as well. At this point I have two chapters completely written. I am looking for a beta, but Rustle has generously offered his assistance in getting the story out as my editor. So there is my writing at the moment. If I can find a way to wind my poor anthology down Bill W has agreed to beta that, and Rachelg. has agreed to do the editor work on it. Trust me, that is like magic. Did someone send a Fairy Godmother my way? Anyway we are now just three days from Valentine's Day. My cards to my friends have all gone out and hopefully are with everyone now. I wish to those who are in love a sweet day with the one you love. May you be happy and have fun. For those of us who are single, well just forget the mushy stuff, get a nice bowl of popcorn and sit down to watch a few good movies. Right. - Wayne

Bless my kilt. My great grandmother and all were from Scotland. I have Scottish ancestry on both sides of my tree. Wonder what they would have thought of this brouhaha and whether it will be for good or evil at the end?

I'm glad to hear the chance of a Zombie Animal Muppet isn't in the cards for you. Much prefer you soft and huggable. We have waited this long, so a little longer won't hurt us. Besides we know how good your story is.

The story is complete and just going out one a week. Have another story ready to begin when this one ends and finally finishing one that was on hold for over a year. I might come back though. Time will tell.

My mother also loved this poem, but never had time to wear purple and do the things in the poem. I think that is one of the lessons of your story. Don't wait til you're old to do the things you want, and the things that make you happy. Seize the day and make the most of it. Loved you story, Dyno.
