    Chapter 21 Questions

To begin with, THANK YOU Lisa. You leave some of the best reviews. It's clear you like the story by the details you retain after reading it. I think the next chapter when answer most questions concerning Fleming's motive for his attitude and actions. I think both his mother and father had a huge influence on Andy and that's why he is the way he is. The next chapter shouldn't be too far off. I hope, like Tim has mentioned, that I continue to improve. Again, Thanks!

Cody will return, but in a chapter or two. The whole deal with Fleming will be explained quickly in the next chapter I doubt it was Fleming, whatever his motives are, planted the shirt. Thanks Tim for taking the time to write a review, it means a lot and I take what ou guys say to heart. Again, Thank!

    Chapter 21 Questions

I'm afraid its going to get worse before it gets better for JT. But you're right concerning Andy. Even Det. Jones don't buy into it. My thinking is Fleming has a hidden agenda. Thanks for the review
  9. Chapter 21 Questions Detective Jones, being a frequent visitor while his mother was hospitalized, had made friends with a few of the nurses. He had learned that they kept games in the children’s ward to help keep them occupied. He talked one of the cute young nurses into letting him have one for him and JT to pass the time. The detective and JT were focused on a game of checkers when a knock on the door disturbed them. JT looked at the detective with a raised eyebrow. Jones shrugged his

  14. Thanks for the reviews. It means a lot to me. I did leave a few open ends in this chapter with many different ways the story could go. Hopefully, everything will work out for all concerned. Again, thank you!
  15. Chapter 20 Foggy Days When he reached the top of the hill, which took a lot longer than he had thought it would, JT realized he was a long ways from home. Pine Hills was already a good ways from anywhere, now he was truly in the middle of nowhere. He decided to try and find shelter for the night and begin his journey at sun rise, the next morning. He took a north-eastern direction and stayed as near to the top of the ridge as the terrain allowed. After hiking for about thirty minutes, he

    Chapter 1

Excellent start Louis. So full of emotions, both high and low. It's a terrible time you're writing about, so many innocent lives... I look forward to reading more!

    Chapter 19 Changes

Thank You Lin for leaving a review and your kind words. How and why JT escaped his situation will become clearer in the coming chapters. Leukemia strikes way too many kids every year. Thankfully, the success rate in treating leukemia is now very high in most cases. When Danny Thomas help start St. Jude's Hospital, hope for these kids to have a long and normal life was pretty low. Now 80-90% live long and productive lives, but there is still that 10-20% I pray for everyday. I have a feeling that Andy, with the love and support of family and friends, and with his faith in the creator, will find that this is one of those bad things that happens so good things can come to fruition.

    Chapter 19 Changes

Yes. it seems a little too easy. We'll see why. I'm hoping to develop Cody's character a little in this story to be used more in another story. Time will tell. Andy has his trials and tribulations to overcome, how and how difficult it will be remains to be seen. Thanks Benji for an awesome review!
  25. Chapter 19 Changes After cuddling for thirty minutes by the dying campfire, both Joey and I were starting to fall asleep. The night had been draining emotionally, and the closeness, the intimacy of the cuddling made me at least, if not Joey, too, feel safe and secure. Safe enough to fall asleep out in the open with all of God's creatures, rattlesnakes included. Okay, on second thought, maybe not the rattlesnakes, mountain lions, or the bears. Even though I was barely awake, upon reflection,
