For a short piece like this, I was expecting . . . I don't know. A bit more focus?
Although the writing is good, it felt like a hodge-podge collection of snippets, with no real flow or connection.
I've read through half a dozen times, and sadly still have no real sense of what direction the author wants to go in.
While I found it a moving piece, it's almost as though the narrator has gone out of his way to pick the worse moments of his life to focus on, but then there is no real resolution - good or bad.
