Chance: A Fateful Encounter
Solus Magus commented on Solus Magus's story chapter in Chance: A Fateful Encounter
Thank you so much! I'll always be thankful for honest criticisms especially if they are about technical writing, regardless if they are an old troll or not. I do hope you can bear the number of errors I might omit in the chapters ahead. Because for now, there might still be a good number of them here and there. Hopefully, I could find an editor and I can re-upload revised chapters. -
Hopeful! The book series are great! I do hope we get to see more classic books turned into movies/tv series with great writing and consistent plot to the source material.

The magic seal on the arm looks sick! But I have yet to wait for a game that capitalizes on magic and lore. It's a dream for me as an author to establish a hard magic system in the likes of Wheel of Time or Mistborne. We're so damn lucky we get to make it in an era where we get to play games in highly competent graphics that even our own imagination couldn't handle as kids! Press F for our fallen gamers who didn't make it. May they respawn soon.

Good news for the year? My parents got back together again after they were separated for 15 years and both sides had third parties. It's truly a miracle.

Chance: Never Talk To Strangers
Solus Magus commented on Solus Magus's story chapter in Chance: Never Talk To Strangers
Thank you so much for the criticisms. Grammar isn't my strong point since it's not my native language. Still in the process of getting an editor for this one. -
I stared at my mother's frail body. It reminded me that the last time I saw her, I was a totally different person. A deathly glow hovered her. She seemed to have been frozen in time for the past couple of weeks. She was in some kind of state of stasis, as High Magus Shiraea had put it. "Please don't give up on her." I muttered to the High Magus. Then my eyes would linger to the Necronomicon that was strapped to my mentor's side and glare at it intensely. "Phineas' death would be in vain if m

“No.” It was all that I could muster. My head painfully turned back to Eran, who kept his focus on the mysterious figure a few feet away from our spot. Its mere presence was heavy, although its back turned against us. Before there was an awful amount of light and a booming voice was the only thing I could identify. But seconds later, I can make out a colossal creature with great wings. “It can’t be.” “You were pretty easy to manipulate, Nikki.” Eran spoke. I just stood there and felt totally

Holy crap in a good way? Or holy crap in a bad way? 😆 -
The next day, I went to the Chase residence around lunchtime. Mrs. Chase was more than happy to welcome me despite being an extra mouth to feed for the past two weeks. Otis ate with me while we were waiting for Phineas to arrive. "How's Mrs. Ellison?" Otis asked as he munched on the burger his mom made for us. He didn't seem to care about the drop of sauce on the side of his chin. "I do hope her health is improving. What happened really sucks." "Not much really. But I think she's getting

"What's the next step?" I asked Eran. It's been a couple of days since we got back from M'Vokagola. And so far, no mages were showing up on our doorstep for revenge. Our getaway was relatively quick and unexpected. All the avroi that I saved up was consumed to cover the distance that we traveled. I was knocked out for a ton of hours the day after. Our two other mysterious companions were alive and got out safely, too. But Ishvar barely made it. A blade was able to puncture his side durin

The next day, I went straight to school and didn’t wait for Jaden. I left a voice message on Ven’s phone to meet me behind the gymnasium. Then I added that it was very urgent. It didn’t really take much time before he appeared. Curiously, Morsus was present as well. “Bring me along.” I urged. Ven and Morsus just looked at each other after I said that. The younger one just shook his head. “I will not take no for an answer.” “I understand that you’re frustrated but this isn’t really a safe

“Have you received it?” Dylan asked me excitedly. A sly grin was on his boyish face. It was a rare thing to see his eyes glinting. I almost laughed at his lack of composure. “I’m sure you’ll be the first one to get it.” “Yeah. I did.” I replied. Then checked at my side to see a curious look coming from Anya. Although it was customary of her to give is silent stares. “I can’t show it to you guys yet. Sorry. I promised my dad.” “That’s okay.” Dylan assured me with a goofy grin. “We’ll see

"Altimeraea is beautiful." I gasped. It's only been a couple of hours since Eran brought me for the first time to the other world. But there was still a ringing headache because the ritual to summon us there was quite disorienting. It was like being sucked into a tiny vortex that turned my insides into some sort of moldy Italian pasta. And it felt horrible. "We have to go." Eran said. When I looked at him, there was some sort of creature that was following him. It was some sort of ho

I was still shocked at what happened. Just like that, the man left. His last instruction was that to give it with its seal released. Yet it was not written on the paper how to unseal the artifact. Otherwise, it wouldn't be useful for anyone else. But he and Eran said the same thing: only Necromancers can fully open it. Eran also mentioned that the cost is grave. I never bothered to ask. And I was not entirely excited to know what it would demand. Simply, I was not ready yet for the gut-wrenc

It was all but a seductive ruse. And it was working perfectly for me. “Just what on earth are you?” I asked. “I am neither from Earth nor Altimeraea.” The voice replied. Its slithering voice caused some shivers down my spine. Like a wet and damp towel massaging my eyeballs. Utterly painful. “Where I came from is somewhere further in The Great Divide. No mage has ever returned from those depths.” “What do you want then?” I demanded. “You sound powerful enough to wreak havoc on your ow

Chance: Fast-learners Are Not Cool
Solus Magus commented on Solus Magus's story chapter in Chance: Fast-learners Are Not Cool
Yes, that's pretty much needed right now. I apologize for the confusion at times since my grammar weaknesses really involved the inconsistencies in regards to my tense. I tend to overlook them more than I should. However, I still have not yet found an editor for this. Thank you so much for the criticism. I value these comments very much. -
A couple of days later, Jaden was back to his usual self. He's still the cute best friend that I had liked before. But of course, I sensed the faint traces of avroi inside of him. Apparently, Abraxas caused the commotion outside the school to corner us. Everything would have gone smoothly for him if it wasn't for Ven's protection. And it's just frustrating to know that there were two groups out there who were after my butt. "They're moving too fast." Ven solemnly said. Then he placed a hand

The battle drums in my ear roared after Ventus said that. We were in school, and for us to be watched meant that there were enemies in the vicinity. And that means that there were a lot of potential victims, too. On top of that list would probably be my friends. I was sure Ven knew about that and urged me. His eyes alone went to battle mode, but we had to carry on with our day like normal teenagers. After all, there was no convincing reason that those who were watching us would attack right

November 18, Saturday The most awaited event finally came. And it was from being horny to being chaotic real quick. It was the day of the Astronomy camp and I think that it was the first time for me to wake up before my alarm clock even rang. Even my mom was surprised to the sudden life that was ablaze in my eyes. However, we didn't meet until late in the afternoon. For the time being, I snuggled close to Max. I went to his room and laid next to him before giving him a big brother hu

I have not read this awesome piece of work since 2012. And now I'm swamped with so much chapters. More than 800k words is literally longer than the Bible. Time to re-read the whole thing! 🤪

I'm just terribly happy we'll get to see Richie again! I am curious to see a Justin-Richie dynamic.

I was able to call emergency hotlines right away. And in less than 20 minutes, we were already in the hospital. My hands found its way to my mom's, and I grasped it. She was totally unconscious on the bed. The nurses inserted a needle into her vein and attached it to an IV. Then I heard soft footsteps. I then realized that I fell asleep with my head lying on the bed next to my mom. I turned my head to check who it was and saw her doctor. The doctor was a woman in her mid-thirties and still l

There was silence. You might want to tell me what that is. I stated. Breaking the sudden lack of noise in my head was harder than I thought. I waited for his response, but there was none. Eran? I'll explain more when I get to your house tonight. That was all he just said. I felt the mental connection was cut off as if he could disable my hex on him. It was kind of a weird feeling. And it made me a bit light-headed. Using my newfound abilities seemed to have a toll on my young body. P

"This is obviously unexpected." I muttered. Eran looked serious, but it was betrayed by his angelic features. The intense aura of innocence and purity screamed all over him. No wonder I fell for it. This boy was too charming for his own good. "I assume you've had adventures in that dark side." "No." He quipped. And that surprised me all the more. His mix of gold, auburn, and dirty blonde hair was long enough to give him bangs that danced before his emerald green eyes. "I have never been in A
