I really liked it b/c it really was well-written, got the blood running, but let the reader fill in the blanks. I liked how it seemed to me that the person got their nervew up to agree to it, but then wasn't so sure when they were there, chained up and looking at the tools of the trade. I imagined the person walking through the room even before agreeing to it and thinking how different it probably looked from the different perspective! But what was very intriguing too was wondering if the eyes of the man looking at them had changed...were they normally that cold? Or had they changed as they entered the room to see the person hanging there, afraid and... excited?

I am enjoying this story. They are both emotionally damaged people who I think, stand to be a good thing for one another. The thing that confused me was at the beginning he says he knows Logan wants him to move upstairs with him. He is clearly seeing that Logan wants something with him. Then at the end he all of a sudden saying that he knows he's just the kid that lives downstairs and he has no right to ask questions. Obviously those are two totally conflicting evaluations of their situation. I kinda wish this chapter had been longer. I felt like it didn't really move the story forward except for their trp trip to the grocery store.

Wow, I had to read 5 also and I am glad I missed it b/c i'd have hated not knowing if sys was gone. And somehow I can never tell with you I kinda was annoyed that Dee seems to forget how young Luke is and treat him like an adult. He is clearly very very smart and competant. He saved them several times over that day. At the same time, he is a boy too. He deserved some hugs and consolation after watching his dads be out for 2 days and when Dee and he go to see Sys, Dee sends him off on his own instead of having a moment. It seems like Dee is sometimes too focussed on Sys to be a dad. You had me worried when Luke wasn't sure where they were, whether they were back on the planet with the prince somehow. But, it was nice for his brother to be there and for sys to learn they didn't turn their back on him. I am unsure why his brother would have wanted to bring him to a war torn home planet again, exile lifted or not. I do wonder if someday Luke could be a good option for his planet. He is the only royal relative left afterall. But, I agree it would be too dangerous now. I hope Sys gets to see his parents at least. I am wondering too if there could be another baby on the way after sys allowed that thing to happen the last time they mated. I hope Dee can be a bit more nurturing with Luke though. The kid has been through way too much and though it's hard when a kid is very mature or able-bodied, you have to remember they are still a kid. Can't wait for more!!!

Chapter 27 - Now Look What You've Done
Cannd commented on Nephylim's story chapter in Chapter 27 - Now Look What You've Done
Good one Stephen- Uzi's. ha! I really liked how it ended up being Uzzi who wanted to be the more 'gentile' of the two...afterall, it shows how they are bound so tightly and influence each other souls. I do have to wonder if the bad guys could have mates out there who could be as evil as Pasha and Uzi are good? And even if that is unlikely, doesn't it stand to reason that if Pasha could find his Angel side which I believe said it had been there the whole time inside of him, that Michael, Gabe and the others could find that part of them eventually too? Pasha left as a human too. Great story. I hope we get a bit of a view of them in their HEA for a short time at least -
lmao...when nephy sounds like the romantic of the bunch and defends an easy love forming, I expect the real aliens to come. lol I'm glad it wasn't the end of the story. I think there seemed to be something a little more than just emotions that seemed to be happening for a while. it wasn't like they didn't know each other at all. It seemed there was a moment there where some physical thing happened. I'm wondering if they'll somehow manage to make a little hybrid baby...now that'd be cool! I loved the creative physiology you've created throughout the story. The baby sounds adorable. I am interested in hearing Dee's story of how he ended up on Earth, then in the lab and how he escaped. Are the people who help the other aliens human or are they like Dee and able to appear human? Why didn't Sys tell Dee he was pregnant when he knew he was? His ex really was a cold-hearted bastard wasn't he! Wow! To send off your lover and child into the unknown. Really cold huh! I really love this story. Look forward to more. ~cannd

I can't help but feel that Balthazar doesn't have Aaron's well-being in mind with his decisions. It's about what he wants to happen and manipulation of Aaron and the other boys...whether it be keeping him from people or pushing him into people. I thought Ryan was genuinely interested in helping him, but him putting Andrew up seems more like a ploy to give Aaron what he wishes he could have with Greg. The way he answered the question about the kid's grandmother was ridiculous and gave him no answers. Talk about a mind fuck, having the one person you've always depended on ripped away with no real explanation or goodbye? Then, he connects with Jon and Sam, only to be kept away from them at any costs. Greg is mighty down on Jon given the kid has saved Aaron's life. Ugg...it's frustrating right now seeing this kid's future be manipulated with no one really caring what is best for him. It's sad

Hey, So, is it possible for Jon to have a relationship with someone that isn't motivated by his talent? Is whatever bond he feels or draw to them, etc. always based on the talent? That would suck. I can't wait to know what the talent is that Aaron has. I was surprised that he didn't ask about his grandmother. In the store and such, when she was away he freaked a bit. So, it's strange he isn't wanting to know where she is. She's been his almost sole bond all this time. I hope it was Landon who was watching them after the whole Tom debacle. I can't help but still want to know about Landon. It sucks though that he must be a cannibal. Was it a random occurance that Tom had a Talent? Hal didn't have one right? Was he a blip also? I got the sense he wasn't. A question from the beginning...did Landon intend to give Aaron the cake he had given him, even if he didn't happen to come upstairs or was it his cake he gave him? Hal seemed to know what it was. I've just wondered about that. Thanks! Off to the next chapter.

Chapter 24 - What's Happening to Me?
Cannd commented on Nephylim's story chapter in Chapter 24 - What's Happening to Me?
I was so happy to see this chapter since your blog had a new story. Will you be finishing here instead of as a brief now? That way you could make it longer...hmmm? please! lol Anyway...wow, where did this development come from? I assume when he was 're-made.' I am also wondering how he was able to re-establish the bond? Hmm...do we not have to wait for Wednesdays anymore? lol very hopeful wishing going on -
I really hope the story continues. I thought it said complete on the description, but hopefully I misread. I am wondering what he meant when he said he had failed before. And what kind of second chance did he think he has now? I hope it continues and we learn more about this character. I hope you can really get under his skin and make him a deep character, developing him past his story stated so generally so far. I want to know more about him. Look forward to meeting the boy he found when he wakes up

I am loving this one. I guess I am dense b/c I really didn't see the signs another commenter said they saw that Dee wasn't human. I didn't see that coming. Wow! I was unsure who Dee was talking about when he mentioned his 'friends at the lab.' When he says the lab could find the leak..how many aliens have they rescued? that must be dangerous! Did anyone help Sys get out? It sounds like he got out on his own according to him. Poor Sys...how scary that labor must have been. How is he pregnant and by who? Why did Dee keep his secret from him? I just hope Dee doesn't push him away. Now could it be Dee's...maybe on his planet sharing a drink gets you knocked up! lol I can't wait to know Dee's story!! can't wait for more! Ahh I have so many questions!

I couldn't help but want to smack these guys upside the head during the whole chapter. It was stupid to go look for his family without trying to call them and see if they were safe. Instead, they go toward the problem, not trusting that his family is smart enough to get out. Then they stop while they have water up to their waist or chest to talk things out? I mean maybe if they were moving it wouldn't have bothered me, but they knew they were in a race against time and they were insane to stop. I can't blame Riley for trying to help the drowning man...yes a stupid thing you shouldn't do, but I can't say I would have let the guy go by to protect myself. But, then, he goes back out in it instead of staying safe and waiting for Kyle or notifiying police he was out there still. It was just insane behavior. I am glad we at least know what happened that had Riley running around the hospital to find Kyle. I'm only surprised b/c it's Riley who just got taken by the water so I would have expected it was him being looked for. I can't wait to know what happens, so please have mercy on us and update soon! It was terribly sad to hear Gabe's fate. I can't imagine the guilt that would be there if you knew that something you did to someone caused them a breakdown and eventually their death. While you could reason that you couldn't not tell him that you loved someone else, it would be another not to feel that you pushed the person to such a bad place. Lookin forward to more!

oohh, I never would have thought of Tom being in the coven. I thought him or the father might continue to search for the woman. More likely him, b/c the father probably doesn't want a woman who abandoned them back. But, how in the hell did he get involved with the Coven? It certainly can't be by chance. And the kid didn't sound intelligent enough to find the mother/Aaron on his own. So, I'd think the Coven knew what happened to Aaron. Why not get the kid sooner? Did they not know he had promise maybe? Why would Harris order the kid's extermination without letting someone attempt to train him (as Jon or Andrew pointed out)? Why not let them test it and if the kid is a low functioning talent, then kill him? I'd like to know his thoughts on this. This world is sooo brutal. There are so many people who are just removed from society and used for research/tortured/killed. These talents seem to not have consciences. Scary!

Hey J, thanks for the answer to my long questions in 9. I re-read this before I kept going forward. I wonder why the Balthazar family is given so much power? Talia has a big role going out on jobs like the one she did with those boys. Andrew may not have a job like that or be headmaster, but Balthazar clearly sees to it that he has some purpose by putting Aaron in his hands. I kinda hate the hypocracy in setting up the kid's life and deciding who he should be with romantically. Push/pull or not, common experience of having been in the coven's hands or not, it is messed up that they are planning his future just like the coven would have. Albeit, being a cannible is a worse future to be condemned to. I assume Landon has to be one? That's sad if so. It says how Andrew has changes happening in him...are they saying he will become a cannible no matter what? If so, why set poor Aaron up to maybe lose him to whatever the result of his being contaminated by the Coven is. How in the heck to you work on two complicated and long stories at one time? It blows me away. Ok, off to 10 c

Gosh, do I hate Xavier!! I just can't imagine what purpose it served for him to do what he did to Alex. I guess he doesn't care what betraying Alex will do to the control he thinks he has over Alex b/c he needs the anima. I guess he'll be sneaking it to him....well that could go anywhere since Alex is very unpredictable now. I see how it will lead to issues with Jason, but he seems okay with the outside relationships Philip has now. I will hate to see the strife between them again since they haven't had a chance yet. I will ask again, will they become more like themselves after all these changes or will they be these creatures that don't act like the men we knew? I would expect there to be changes in them, but for now they are just slaves to their desires, needs, wants, etc. Thanks for answering my long ass comment (i'm famous for those lol) Will this be the last book? Or will we get the consequences of Jason's actions that you refer to later in another book? cannd

First, I had two questions about where Thomas was...good old observer who Kristen doesn't know exists and I am also wanting to know if the barrier was created or if it just formed? Aww I'm really sad to see Darius lose his free will. I liked him alot. Though he must have been close to his 40th b/c he was older than Philip, right. I have to say that the changes in Philip and Jason into men controlled solely by lust is disappointing (we've not seen the protective part yet). I accepted their polyamorous natures as just they way they are brought up, but that was when they knew who they were and had more thoughts than how to get this one or that one alone to fuck them. And Varrus isn't thrown into the mix yet! I can't see this going well for some reason. It is fun looking into the future of the story and predicting stuff. You leave so much open for that...like thinking about Philip having to face poor Alex. But if Caleb or Varrus have control over Darius, then maybe he'll have Darius kill him. It's too bad Philip didn't spend more time with his brother and less time fucking so he could have helped the kid. He spoke of his faults, but didn't spend time with him trying to teach him how to be. Clearly, no one did. It is mainly why he needed what Xavier wanted. He has shown he is smart and he is so young, so with some more guidance, he may have made it. Now he's under that monster's control and we know he'll prob end up being a major opponent I'm also not sure how this handful of men is going to save anyone. what is their goal even? they aren't legatio or centurians anymore. I feel like the goals and hopes for Jason in books 1-2 aren't the same anymore. I thought his goal was to teach the legotios to love the centurians? It looks like there won't be many of either left to change. What is their goal anyhow? If they stop the Dominus from taking over Ares, but what will there be to take over? The armies are decimating it and destroying the beautiful green lands with fire. They are killing innocent people. And now those who were meant to bring a good future to it are changed into these creatures that aren't anything like the people they were. I still like the story I just am starting to wonder about all these things with the developments in this chapter especially.

This story is really kick ass. I have to say I believed from the beginning that Alex would be the one to betray them. I'm sure he may not do it totally of his own accord...But I forsee that he will see Jason's bonding to Philip as a betrayal and will go crazy. I'm glad Gideon didn't bond to him yet. My one question would be why the guys are still wanting to hold on to the Centurian laws and such? I didn't expect Xavier to break his leash to that wind bag Perils. But, maybe Jason can outdue his control b/c he's bonded to Alex? Well, probably not b/c he never gave his bond to him....who knows. I can't believe that bastard Perils was selling skulls of the centurians. How horrid. Agamemnon's must have been worth a pretty penny. I am so happy Philip and Jason finally bonded and you did a beautiful job showing what was different between them compared to the others he accepted bonds to. What is the result of the bonding that Philip has done with others before Jason? Has he bonded to any others by swapping anima? Who are the monsters that have Aiden and his lover? That can't be good given the Jadoorians could have been allies against the Dominus. I didn't see eric coming out bad. I worried who he was giving the blood to, but I thought he was good. I'm so glad Kristen is good! I wonder if Gideon can be healed by Jason or Philip? Will we find out why Philip became a demon? I know jason can control him, but haven't they always been evil? I would have liked to see you put the prophesy and some of the bonding facts on the cheat sheet you have in bk 1 in ch. 25 Well, I am glad I found this when it was written b/c I'd have died waiting for chap. by chap. I hope you can get this published at so point. It is incredibly good.

Hey, I'm still captivated by this story. One thing I'd like to help with is when you do quotes..when a new speaker begins to talk you start a new paragraph. You'll see it will make it clearer to read also. I can't wait to keep reading.

Wow! I loved this book! What a great story. Well-written. There were a few spots where I would have commented, but I couldn't get myself to stop reading long enough to do so. lol Those who know me would know that is big~I like to comment I really enjoyed this and will start right up on Book 2. It's super lucky when you find something that is complete so you don't have to be tortured waiting for more. I am shocked Alex and Gideon aren't in lots of trouble. I can't remember the rules about rules surrounding a legatio's bonding to centurians. I guess they can bond to more than one. How wrong it was for the boys to trick him into it. And they did. They prevented him from making the choice with full knowlege of the result. They used his love of centurians to do it. Book 2 should be really crazy with all the pot stirring that has been done and b/c Jason will not just be surrounded by family and other Centurians. I have a feeling he is not gonna go over well there. At least not without the other Legatio trying to bend him to their will. I'm glad he'll have the guys to help him. I wish they had taught him more so that he'd not be at risk b/c of ignorance. I am assuming Kristen and Erik are angels? That was interesting too. One thing that I didn't feel made sense was the space Philip allowed between them. He almost avoided Jason in the end. I know he doesn't want to force him into anything or hurt him b/c he has so few yrs left but for god's sake, he better up his game b/c others won't play fair--even own brother shjowed that. I was mainly surprised at the fact that Philip so openly slept/screwed around with the other Centurians. I know that nature wouldn't change in him. He isn't like Alex who is trying to change the make-up of a centurian or show that it can be changed/bent. But, I am surprised he did it in front of Jason like he did. It felt wrong that Jason didn't react negatively to it too. He seemed to show jealousy in the beginning and then suddenly he's all zen about what he sees. I thnk he should have shown jealousy and questioned Philip's ardor for him. I'm excited for the next book~ Off I go.

WOW! This story is excellent. I'm so glad I decided to check it out. It caught me up like a cyclone and I couldn't stop reading. I hope more is put up soon. I always admire authors like you, when they make such an involved plot with a large cast of great characters. It always makes me wonder how the ideas for it developed. Anyhow, I really like the characters who are really well developed and strong in their own rights. i was surprised when Gerick proved to be so sadistic, but as he said to Leopold, being a guild man changes him. Being a corrupt prelate really changed him, as we aren't led to believe those are his tastes with the other men he is with like Leopold, Thomas or Joshua. You really surprised me when we found out Falcon was alive! I love that. He was different than his sister in the beginning. He desired real love from Estelle rather than just blind obedience/adoration that he got from everyone else. I am wondering why so may protectors ended up in jail rather than killed when they weren't able to protect their charges? I am also anxious to know why Vard and Austin were thrust from the void. I am guessing that Joshua gets so hurt if he knows of that bond that he stops being the key to the void. He is still the key to the void for Vard and particularly for Austin. What happened to Austin though? I don't think he could have hurt him even if he was privy to the bond forming between them.

i love this story! I can't wait for more either. Where is Landon? Is he still in the grasp of the master? I thought he is in the school b/c unless it was a typo, Jon had said that Landon shouldn't have ever been let back in to Lakes. Who is Andrew? Is he really Landon? If not, I am wondering how he survived what happened at the coven and what happened after. You explained why Jom wants Aaron, but why does Andrew? I really can't wait to hear where Aaron came from before being kidnapped. Something I wanted to ask back in the beginning is what Landon planned to do on Cake Day in reference to Aaron. Was he just resigned to letting the boy be eaten? Was he going to get him the cake he had that he gave him? I can't imagine he was going to leave him to it with the other boys in his group. What did that cake do? Did it unblock his abilities or block them? Did it give him his Talent? Please answer these if you can lookin forward to more!

Really great piece. It was short but still had a nice story and really got you thinking about the fact that it probably will be like that someday. After we really do this Earth in and it is close to 'ending' b/c of us and not some prophesy. It was sweet. Thanks.

I have to be honest about this one....It was depressing to see the prince never have a chance to live. How could his parents not see that his life being limited to a garden and almost no human contact was the reason for his lack of development? Why never let him see outside of the castle. Why did the old man not try to introduce him to new things once the knight was king, afterall, the guy probably didn't really care where the boy was? I also wondered about the whole flower thing b/c he was never given a chance to bloom or develop. So, I didn't see that metaphor as applying to him at all. I'd really have liked if you gave him a chance to develop and grow at some point in the story even if it was as an adult. I don't mean this as an attack, but just my honest reaction to the story.

I really hope you're planning to write another chapter...but it seems like you aren't. I just think that after letting us get so invested in these characters that we deserved to see them make that final commitment to one another and take their relationship to the next level. I'm writing these comments as if I were beta reading. I just would have recommended taking us through that weekend. I think that it felt a bit rushed at the end. As I had said in a previous review (forgive me if you read that already since I am repeating some of what I wrote)...the fact that they took this trip to the lake really felt thrown in from left field. It didn't feel like a smooth and natural progression since they were so wary of Jer and Glen and suddenly they are taking a trip together. The trip played a major part in the plot too, with the whole blackmail thing. It also helped with the growth of these characters as friends and couples. So I think it was something that should have been further explored in the story. The two boys were really great characters! You do a great job of developing them. They grew so much from the beginning of the story, as did their relationship. so I just think that by stopping it here, it feels like it wasn't followed through to the natural ending. Hope you'll consider writing that part. I would have recommended doing it and ending it with the same last few sentences about him looking to the future. I loved this story. I really think you are a talented writer and look forward to more of your work. thanks for posting so quickly too!
-
I've already said in a previous chapter review that I love this story. I continue to love it. The one thing I'd point out though, is that I feel like the lake trip was too important to the plot to not have us be a witness to it or at least to the planning of it and then maybe a mention about how it went when they 'get back.' When you suddenly point out that this trip is what the pics are from and they went with Jer/Glen, I went back to see if I missed a chapter where they went. It kinda came out of left field that they had done this and now there were such great repercussions. Hell, I'm wondering if you're going to respond that I did miss the chapter I think the reason it also felt strange was the fact that they went with Jer/Glen. Here, they were so sure Glen was up to something b/c he was suddenly dating one guy consistently and he's suddenly changing from a top to bottom for him too. They were wary and then we are to think they went away together. I just picture it being a bit awkward. Hell, the loud sex alone would be a bit awkward for a couple who isn't sleeping together or doing more than heavy petting, ok and grinding too lol. Looking forward to the rest.

I was so happy to see these updates already...any more coming today? I can see it now...Cole just walked poor Dale into a corner he'll use later. Cole will definitely make a good politician. I hope he is gearing up to make the argument that Dale must like him or he wouldn't be pretending to be his boyfriend..or whatever argument he has, soon. I think they'd be good together. I just think he's letting Dale get too far into the bitterness that comes from thinking he likes Cole and might even have deeper feelings for him, but they aren't returned. Dale is going to push him farther away if he doesn't let him know how he feels soon. He's pretty good at reading people and getting what he wants so I don't know why he hasn't gotten Dale aside at all costs to talk this out with him. I also think Dale has to stop saying the sentence about being his beard b/c eventually the wrong person is gonna be close enough to hear and the shit will hit the fan. Well, I'm dying for these two to try it out for real. I'd really like to see them together and I hope once they are that you follow along with them as they try to get a relationship off the ground. Lookin forward to more.
