  1. Oh god. Every time I read articles like this I want to go proofread everything I've posted to see if it's in there. And go back over all the ongoing stories as well. Argh!!!

    Chapter 3

Tek is really making me curious. I'm looking forward to understanding more of his relationship to his spirit/lion. He's also kind of a jerk. The main character is obviously suffering from abuse and his manner doesn't know how to deal with that. It will be nice to see both characters grow. It's a shame that the Briefers format limits the chapter size. I want more! (Even if you are cheating a little on the 1k word limit. LOL) Great chapter. I'll be on the lookout for next week's installment.

    Chapter 2

Nicely paced! What an intriguing turn of events. I'm curious of Tek's intentions. Overbearing yet still caring for his charge, albeit roughly. The wemic splits! And the kitty likes our hero... hmmmm.... This would make for a strange triad. But they are the same.... boggles the mind!!! Another good installment. I'll be waiitng for next Wed.
  4. I got a hold of this and shared it on Facebook in a heartbeat. Love this LOL
  5. Thanks for the feedback. You're absolutely right, there are many long term aspects of LM's and Ogre's relationship that have gone untouched. Mainly, that's because I wanted this story to simply focus on how they came together. I haven't abondoned the characters and may pick them back up and continue when I find a storyline that I feel can do them justice. Right now, I am working on other ideas and stories and hope to have something workable soon. Thank you so much for reading my first real piece. I hope I can keep everyone's interest as strong on my future works.
  6. Thanks for being a faithful reader, Lisa! I have more stories in my head to share. I'm working on one right now, but my schedule is going to slow down its posting. I don't want to share until I'm sure I can post regularly AND finish it. (Nothing worse than incomplete stories you've sunk your teeth in. Ugh) Have no fear. It will happen. LOL Easiest way to know for sure is to follow me or keep a patient eye on the update list.
  7. With how much it took to create this story, I'm going to miss them too. It took a long time to get the nerve to share and I'm so glad I did. Thank you so much!
  8. I'm still blushing from all the praise. Seriously. I can't thank everyone who followed this story enough. This has been amazing!!!
  9. Thank you so much! I can't believe I just posted the last chapter. I'm still in awe of everyone's positive reactions. I'm still doing a happy dance.
  10. I'm so glad you continued reading and had the chance to see the whole story I was trying to create. I hope others that reacted to chapter 9 can see it the same way. Little Man was such a great experience and I'm so thrilled to the response I've gotten. I hope my next endeavors are as successful. And yes, that means I have more stories to share.
  11. “Your can take your headphones off now, Eric.” I tapped my blond roommate soundly on the shoulder. He startled explosively and fell off the sofa, nearly dumping his soda on the floor. His eyes were wide saucers as he shook himself to keep from admitting that I'd just scared the living hell out of him. “Music on loud enough?” I was having a hard time trying to suppress my laughter. Eric was hiding a few deep breaths while he pressed stop on his I-pod and pulled the earbuds out. “I had to drown

Glad to see your power's back on Lisa! Thanks again for loyal support. It really makes me feel good that this story is getting so much attention and feedback. It's been great! My pen name is a variation of Ann Rice's pseudonym "Ann Ramplings" when she was writing erotica. She was the first legitimate author I knew of that wrote fiction with heavy gay themes. The variation just seemed appropriate.

    Story

Very nicely done. The story is succinct and to the point. I would love to see a version with the different scenes expanded on, but the format works here. Nice variation from the straight guys POV. The POV switch at the epilogue is a little abrupt, but only because going from first to third person was unexpected. Trust me, I'm still learning a lot of this myself. It gets easier pretty quickly. Even so, don't let that dissuade you. You have done a wonderful, thoughtful story that deserves some attention. Time to get on the next piece.

    Chapter 1

I like where this is going. I'm intrigued to see how well you can pace the story and stay true to the 1k word format. OO!! OO!! Maybe if it turned out well, you'll expand it and make an eBook out of it!!

    Broken Men

Thanks! I'm so glad you enjoyed it. There's still one more chapter to go in this story. While it would be easy to say it's done at this point, I don't believe in abrupt endings when there are some loose ends to tie up.

Thanks, Carrie! There will definitely be more from me over the next few months. I am not a hit and run author on GA. Keep a look out!

    Broken Men

It's funny you mention LM's comfort level in Eric's bed. I based their relationship on mine and my after college roomie. Same thing. More than friends and all up in each other's lives and love lives. But not so much as a kiss. Ever. And we were good with that. Thanks again for your unending support and point of view. It keeps me thinking.

Hmm... perhaps I'll have to consider a sequel... We shall see.

    Broken Men

I can only imagine the dead slept this soundly. Eric's bed was a sea of comfort and I swam in darkness. At times I nestled against his body. At other times I cocooned myself into his blankets. I slept for so long. Every so often, Eric would wake me and give me pain medication and a glass of water. It was so difficult to rise enough to drink them down. Moving my body was so alarming that laying perfectly still was preferable. I continued to sleep after each dose. I lost track of how many times he
  20. Thanks again, Lisa for your continuous feedback and support. After reading the reviews and discussing it with a few different people, I have added a graphic content warning to the chapter list. I've decided to do so in the future if the story warrants it. As much as I don't want to spoil anything for my readers, I don't want to offend and put them off either. I'm still new to all of this so bear with me as I iron out the details. Thanks for reading and I hope you continue.
  21. Thanks for the response. I knew this would be a difficult chapter for some, because yes it is a very ugly scene. I struggled for a while on whether to throw out a warning or add a story tag for it. It's a very problematic choice to make. While I don't want to offend and turn away readers, I don't want to spoil the order of events either. Ultimately, I decided to post the story as written and hope it was successful overall. I hope everyone is willing to follow through to the end and decide from there. Thank you for your positive responses as well. It is very appreciated.
  22. Thanks again, Joann. Eric's part in everything will come to light. No spoilers.
  23. That's a fair response. However, the story's not over and hopefully it will make more sense once its finishes up. I knew this would be a difficult chapter for some people, but decided to leave the story the way I had always envisioned it. Thanks for following along this far and I hope you'll continue through to the end.
  24. It was Saturday and Eric had barely spoken a word to me all week. The tension in the house was thick and no one was really talking to each other. Eric avoided me at every opportunity and only spoke when necessary. What we had done couldn't even be considered a conversation. Every time I saw Eric I hoped he would forgive me. How long could he hate me? It hadn't been much better with Ogre either. Revealing ourselves to Eric was supposed to free us to see one another more easily. Now we saw each o
  25. Thank you Daffy! I am working on a new project as we speak and my current story is being posted every Sunday. Hope you continue to enjoy!
