I loved it! I think "gripping" is the word I would use to describe this fast paced tale...great work!
-
Very funny! I loved Oliver - he kind of reminded me of a good friend back in Texas...
-
Incredible! Thank you!

I love that this story, now RE-read for the third or fourth time, still makes me feel exactly the same way it did when I read it the first time, many years ago now. I still laugh, and want and hurt and cry right along with all of these characters, right to the very last word. A true masterpiece. Thank you for sharing it with us.

I have somehow missed out on this one, but after reading chapter one, I'm hooked! I'll catch up this weekend... love what I've seen so far!

I love that CJ has changed so much from the scared, uncertain boy we first met two years ago. He's becoming an amazing young man. Thank you for sharing him with us, and I can't wait for the next chapter!!

Another wonderful chapter, Sasha! I like that they have a little bit of perfect in their "dream world". I'm also very curious about Jian's mental ability, and the ears and tail Emmett kept seeing...as usual, I can't wait for next week!
-
A sad chapter, for sure, at the end, but the love is there. Emmett will figure it out, I hope! Keep up the good work, Sasha!

Mark, You have a lot of people out here pulling for you. Thank you for updating us. We all love you and hope that things turn around for you. Be well, friend. Much love and light your way.

I'm getting to be terrible at reviewing individual chapters as I read them... I love this story! The characters are very realistic, relatable and believable, and I can't wait for the next chapter!

Merry Christmas, all my fellow readers and authors! I haven't posted much this year for a host of reasons, but I wanted to take the time to say thank you to all of the authors whose stories I have read this year. Thank you for enormous effort you all put into making your stories great, for taking the time to answer questions or reply to comments and reviews, and most of all, thank you for sharing your gift with words with all of us. Merry Christmas. Jeremy

California Culture: Circa 2000

I'm not sure why there are so many hot guys in the Dallas/Ft Worth area, but we do seem to have plenty! Maybe because there are so many major universities in the area? I mean, we have a huge UT campus, SMU, TCU, UNT, and there are a ton of smaller satellite schools here. There are also a ton of major companies headquartered here that attract young executives, and we're in a major construction boom and at the end of a major oil & natural gas boom, so that has brought in the blue collar hotties. -

That's kind if what I had in mind as well. I'm showing my age here, but in the mid 90's in Dallas (when i was 17) we had Tripping Daisy. The singer went on to form The Polyphonic Spree, and still performs with them. They were great guys, and had a really unique sound, but unfortunately, also had the stereotypical rock band drug habit, and one of them died. I also kinda had a Toadies / Reverend Horton Heat moment while trying to "see" the guitars behind the words, but again, I'm really just showing how old I am!

I love the lyrics! Did you have a particular band in mind when you wrote this? I got a couple of really good images from it, but I want to know if you had a particular style in your head before I say. I also have access to a couple of really good musicians that have expressed interest in maybe putting it on tape for you...your very own theme song. Oh yeah, another great chapter tonight!

Mark, While this really doesn't have much to do with the timeline, I wanted to congratulate you on completing your fifteenth novel in this series. Its a remarkable achievement, and I'm both jealous of the talent and dedication it takes, and very grateful that you have them. At the end of Streak, your word count for the C.A.P. series is around 3.5 million. By comparison, the longest novel ever published, was written between 1649 and 1653, and contains just under 2 million words, and was published in ten parts of three volumes each. Random And obscure, I know, but it is something to be proud of. Congratulations again, and thank you for sharing your wok with us!

What is your favorite story on GA, and who is your favorite Author.
jkeele777 replied to Former Member's topic in The Lounge
I can't pick just one favorite...I'm a huge fan of Sasha Distan, Mann Ramblings, Cjames, The Eggman, Carlos Hazday, Andrew Todd and many others. The stories I keep going back to read again are : Let the Music Play, The Long Way, So Little Magic Left, and the Riding Lessons stories, in no particular order. -
I am very curious to see the lyrics to Navigator. Silas reminds me a lot of me at fifteen and sixteen. Angry, proud, self reliant to the point of refusing help, stubborn and determined to make it alone, but desperately needing to be wanted somewhere. I love it - more please!

Is Sexually Explicit Needed In Gay Stories?
jkeele777 replied to alex canton's topic in Promoted Author Discussion Forum
I'm a little late to the topic, but I'll add my two cents for what it's worth. I don't know that sexually explicit or graphic scenes are necessary, but it would completely depend on the story. Some of my own writing includes graphic violence, some of a sexual nature, and other societal taboos, including heavy recreational drug use by minors. Two of my favorite stories are A New Life / Life Goes On by The Eggman, and Substitute Dad by Scribe1971. The Eggman is sexually explicit, and very descriptive throughout these works, but without that, the characters wouldn't share the same bond. Scribe1971 on the other hand, sometimes refers to sex between partners or couples, but actively avoids graphic description unless it's essential to a scene. In this case, if you added more graphic sex, the story would be completely different and maybe a little creepy. So there's my way too long response! Happy Wednesday! -
Another fantastic chapter! I know its impatient of me, but I already can't wait for the next installment!

OK, so, you can ask anyone - I'm terrible at reviewing each chapter as I go. I won't promise to do better, but I will let you know occasionally what I think! Now, then, I can let you know that I really like what you've done so far. You have some great characters developing here, and I'm excited to see where this is going! Keep up the good work!

Another great chapter, in one of my favorite tales! Thanks Don!
