While I totally agree in theory - there are a couple things that make me say you are carrying that statement a bit too far. Anyone who will bareback someone knowing they are as easy as Cody - be they male OR female - is out of their cotton picking minds! Ultimately it was KEVIN'S responsibility to protect HIMSELF. It was not Cody's responsibility to protect Kevin, altho he certainly should be honest and up front about these things. I am sure he had no idea he was positive when he slept with Kevin, and the same applies if it were Kevin who infected Cody. Just an observation here about HIV transmission - while the risk is greatly reduced during oral sex, HIV can be transmitted through saliva. The tissue under the tongue is permeable and the preferred method of administration of certain drugs such as nitro glycerin for heart issues, and can be a source of infection with BBP's. There is always the chance of a sharp tooth creating a break in skin during oral as well allowing an HIV positive participant to infect a partner that way as well.

Stability? In the CAP family? About the only stable and sure thing is that they are there for each other most of the time! This HIV scare is sure to shake up the family dynamics. I can see it coming into play in so many areas, up to and including Jeanine's parents coming out of the woodwork again and trying to get custody of Maddy. When Brad was discussing the wide sweep of potenital problems of both Kevin and Cody being positive, they did not take into consideration the threesome with Tiff, potentially exposing her as well. I can see the grand's using that as potential evidence that the whole crew were unfit to raise their grand baby. I think there is something that is being overlooked. Matt and Wade may have been together for a long while, and seem much more mature, but are actually still in their very early 20's. To "act out of character" at 22 does not mean the same as to do so at 42 or 52 yrs old. One cannot broadcast a 50 something experience level onto the young. I can see where Wades double standard- that he is allowed to get jealous over Cam but Matt was not over Alex- would strike some people as annoying, myself included. One does, however have to take into consideration how many times Wade was expected to smile and accept Matt running off to play with a new playmate over their four years at Stanford. His initial resentment of the jealousy may very well have stemmed from that - why couldn't/shouldn't he run off and play with his new friend? He is, after all, no longer a couple with Matt, and Matt did just that while they were "committed to each other". Could it be that Matt has a bit of a double standard here too? Not to say I approve of the way Wade handled things. It could have been done in a much more sensitive manner. I am less concerned about this more substantial split up than I am over how far things have gone, and at light speed, with Alex. From "Pleased to meet you " to "move in with me and lets get rid of our other interests" in less than a week strikes me as impulsive beyond anything we have seen from any CAP family member. The binding factors are incidental. I don't think it would matter if they were both labeled "prince of the realm" or if they were both trailer trash would make any difference. Impulsiveness is ok to a point, but this has traveled well beyond that.

OOOO! I get to be the first comment! Able III is really coming into his own. Twenty three seems a tad on the young side from my perspective, but it seems like he is ready to start polishing his emotional facets now. If he does half the job at that he has done at polishing his PK abilities he will be quite the jewel indeed!

LOL! Not weird! Just awake at a time when most of your world is asleep. Fortunately I haven't been plagued by insomnia in a while now ( knock on wood) but I know exactly how you are feeling! I'll look for you when I am awake at odd hours.

That was pretty much my point - if he were a "proper" Earl ( note the derisive tone) and interested in Wade at all he would also need to end things with Fiona as well as see Wade and Matt were done. And don't feel badly about diving right back in - we are all addicted to Mark's work. Look at it this way - there are lots of other vices out there we could become addicted to! This one exercises our brains and has no side effects. (Unless you count the stiffness when I sit and read for hours on end.)

I am not sure that is a bad thing. Will is comfortable in his own skin - something a lot of people are not!

I can't see Wade and Alex becoming an open and public couple in any sense of the word for several reasons. 1. Being an Earl carries certain family responsibilities, including the expectations of marriage and continuing the genetic line. Homosexuality can and does occur but is usually kept under wraps. So while they might spend time together, publicly they would be in the same boat as Will and Zack. Come to think of it - that might be an interesting plot twist coming at us! 2. The existence of Fiona. Why would Wade need to prove it is over with Matt when Fiona is in the wings somewhere? Not all ladies would be as comfortable with being the wife of a gay couple as Isadore has been, and I can't see having a deep love relationship and hiding it from your wife as easy as the movies make it out to be. 3. No matter how much both Wade and Matt need time to learn to be themselves, nothing will ever truly change the way they actually feel about each other. Look at JP and Stef. It took decades, and several LTR's before they found themselves settled into a comfortable partnership.

I agree, love and control are separate things in Will's world. In spite of being very mature for his age, he has yet to gain the perspective to let him understand that to a degree love is control, and control can be a form of love. I was simply surprised that he didn't toss a bit more of a hissy fit when it was made clear he was not welcome. And to be fair- for all we know the fit is yet to come!
