  1. I did that in a Buffy fanfic once. It's, like, the only het work I've ever written, but I did a series of Buffy/Spike shorts and drabbles called Moments, where I explored their relationship through the bits we don't see. It was fun to write.
  2. Happy Birthday, Stellar!!
  3. I grew up with PCs, so I've always been a PC gamer. We have a PS3 and a Nintendo Wii as well. I use the Wii for yoga and the PS3 for Netflix.
  4. I went out and bought five different brightly coloured hair dyes today to give myself rainbow hair for the Oslo Pride parade on Saturday, because I'm a flipping subversive. Hashtag queer thuglife.
  5. I'll whinge about how sick I am of cleaning. Exams are finally over and Magpie and I have some time to breathe. Except we don't because while we were studying the flat turned into Dresden. We have so much laundry that needs doing...
  6. Happy Birthday!!
  7. I'm not really one to talk... I like bacon banana split. Three balls of ice cream, one banana, and crispy bacon sprinkles. Nom! <3
  8. My mum had a drama teacher at one point who liked eating ice cream with garlic sauce...
  9. The Norwegian women's football team made some super funny videos where they address some of the prejudices and stereotypes against women's footballers (they're all lesbians, they're not very good, they cry when they lose, they don't understand the offside rule, etc.). They did it in a really funny, satirical way, but sadly it's all in Norwegian so there's not really much point in sharing it.
  10. Century Child was my Nightwish debut. I was 15. It was the most epic thing I'd ever heard. I was heavily into classical singing and opera at the time. Yeah, Floor is pretty good, but the new tunes just don't move me the way the old ones did... Feels like there's something missing, you know? There's a rawness and wildness in the old stuff that I don't feel anymore in the new stuff. Maybe my tastes have just changed. I don't really listen much to metal anymore, though I take any opportunity to go see my old heroes when they come to town. Saw Blind Guardian a few weeks ago. It was badass.
  11. Please do! I've been reading almost exclusively Dragon Age fanfic lately. With a bit of Mass Effect mixed in for variety. Because when I obsess I really obsess.
  12. I used to be one, but grew bored after Tarja left. This is more my era:
  13. Welcome, buildercub! Glad to hear you're writing. It can be hard getting over lengthy author's block (trust me, I know). Looking forward to seeing what you've got!
  14. Welcome to GA, David! Sorry to hear about your wife. Hope you figure things out!
  15. Butts butts butts!
  16. In Norway handball is the big women's team sport. Our handball girls are super talented and women's handball is way more popular than men's. As a result, the European cup in women's handball is sponsored almost exclusively by Norwegian advertisers. I have no idea how it got that way, but I'm glad we have a sport where women excel and have real opportunities. I mean, most of them still have day jobs, because internationally it's not such a big deal, but at least they have status, and people are interested.
  17. I can never do that, either. I played through the entire Mass Effect trilogy as a Renegade (ruthless, amoral) Shepard once, and even then there came some choices where I was just like, no, I'm not doing that, I have to choose the Paragon option. Tried to play an amoral blood mage type in Dragon Age: Origins, and just never finished that playthrough. And in DA2, try as I might, I can't play anything other than Sarcastic Hawke. Currently, I'm playing an aggressive and abrupt Inquisitor in DA:I, and it's so hard. I'm gonna have to let him change a bit gradually, I think...
  18. I've started two new characters in DA:I since Jaws of Hakkon came out, and neither of them are high enough level to play it yet, as it's recommended level 20 or above.
  19. You Oughta Know was always my favourite off that album. <3
  20. Because I saw her live last night, Patti Smith—Gloria
  21. Welcome, Parker! If you have a story to tell, all you have to do is write it!
  22. You mean this clip?
