I don’t know what kind of tv you have, but have you looked into the settings for it? I have a Sony 55” 4k from 2017 and there are settings for cinema or standard (which is good for older media). There’s even a pro-movie option but that’s too dark for me.

After the most recent episode it seems we are finally getting some meat (of your choice) to go along with all of those potatoes they’ve been feeding us.

If you haven't read @Sasha Distan Born Wolf put it on your list, highly recommended.

After having watched the fourth episode I have a thought... How many seasons is Amazon planning for this series? I also think this season must be saving the most dramatic scenes for the last few episodes. The amount of background exposition (albeit in video form and great to watch) needs to produce something of a bigger splash in these next few episodes remaining.

I agree that TWOT started slow but I’ve found over time that lots of shows do this with the first episode of a new season. Regardless, there was enough going on to keep my attention. And after having watched the entire three episodes available I find I’m still interested, and happy Amazon is running with the show.

Steve Johnson's quest to avenge his gay brother's death in Australia through securing justice for his murder is going to be shown in a four-part True-Crime docuseries Never Let Him Go on Hulu. Another murder of a gay man was also solved because of Steve's efforts on behalf of his brother, and you can find that information in the article.

Yes, I’ll do the same thing. I hope. I’m glad that Apple is pushing out episodes of Foundation on a weekly basis. The episodes are fairly long but it seems like I no sooner start watching that the episode is over—it’s that good. If they were available all at once I’d run through the episodes like water through a sieve.

I saw that it was in my queue, but three episodes at once is a bit much. Considering the strikes in Hollywood and no new programing coming for a while, you'd think Amazon would parcel the episodes out. Now I must exercise restraint! It's just not fair.

It seems to me that jokes are best when they are not dissected. Although, Lorena’s last name always seemed to me a little too on-point.🫣

Why isn’t there a pregnant Barbie?

I watched it again and it was better the second time around. I thought the sex scenes were well done, nothing graphic but also emotionally believable—after all we do talk a lot about too much sex in stories, or the sex being unnecessarily graphic in far too many situations. I think I liked it more, too, because I wasn’t trying to analyze it this time and I let myself enjoy the movie for what it was.
-
This is my assessment as well. I thought the safe sex conversation was well done.

Wow! Just wow! No one mentioned bacon gravy. So sad.

Well… Yeah!

I forgot about gravy. Thanks for the reminder, I'm going to go and get some.

I have a suggestion. Going forward might authors suggest at the end of their story or each chapter something like this: "If you like my story please feel free to comment. If you're not a member please consider joining Gay Authors, it's free." It's not too long a blurb and it reminds those who are not members that membership is a no-cost option. Authors could even include the link page for joining up as I did.

Hear, hear! I lurked (not a member) for about two years before joining up and my joining had a lot to do with the people on here (some who are, sadly, not with us anymore) and how they treated one another. Through the interaction of the membership, I've had the pleasure of experiencing so much of what you mention in the quoted text. Of course, this had/has a lot to do with the GA administrators. And I wanted to comment on what I was reading, too, because there are stories which are richly, emotionally moving, some are in fact enlightening, and others are well... darn amusing. There are some fine story tellers to be found here for sure and great community and it has been a rewarding experience for me.

I just watched the trailer for Season 2 and it seems like we’re in for a dynamic season.

This is a problem. Are gay people supposed to announce themselves with fanfare every time they meet someone new or use a service, or should they wear pink triangles sown into their clothing or carry around a flag for everyone? Might a chant work, "I'm here, I'm queer, get over it!" Who gets to define what a normal gay couple is?
-
Oh goodness, but you are judging and your every comment reads as judgment regardless of your statement otherwise. I think we all need reminding every now and again that our opinions are our own, and we need not always express them fully. Because, after all, opinions are subjective and not necessarily facts—and usually not factual at all.

It's not necessary to publicly reach out. You can private message (PM) the author, or any other member, by utilizing the envelope up on the righthand corner of the page near your name. It's quick, easy, and you only need to be mindful of the limited storage you're allowed for messages.

This is better, yes. I'm guessing my memo about cats, dogs and goldfish was not clear. I didn't mention punctuation, I should have mentioned punctuation to AUTHORS.

Twelve words and a meme. Is it possible that the rules are confusing?
