The Creature Feature is 'Live.' What? And will that one be your favorite Creature Feature (Time will tell.)? Or ... No way, that's just another author's interpretation of my perception of what a creature can be. Whoa, I throw my hands into the air! That's deep! Too deep, perhaps. In any event, my advice is to not over think it ... read: comment; review; and become one of those rabble rousers of the highest degree and let the authors know ... . Well, let them know something. It's the least you can offer. Because I can guarantee you that a great; stupendous; ginormous effort has been manifested on the page (as it were) just so you can be educated. Yes, educated as to just how monstrous creatures can be.

"antilong" is a Filipino word basically meaning -- comprehension • understanding • the manner or stage of understanding • • grasp • perception • cognition. It is sometimes confused with "antilog" -- which means antilogarithm. Yeah, my nephew is seeking out Philippine women for their perception; cognition; understanding; and meaning for sure. That’s not really his motivation, I can promise you!

You’re missing numbers 1, 6, 7, and 9 no less, and although that’s extremely close to being proficient, achieving 6 positions out of 10 just means that you have room for improvement. Yeah, yeah that’s it … you have room for growth. I’m going to go with that.

While that is a most worthy goal, you should be aware that you are posting in the wrong space — considering that this thread is reserved for Promoted Authors — of which neither you nor I am one. Now you know.

Ba-dum — Ching! While I prefer prologue to prolong they both amount to the same thing.* *Damn, I’ve been holding that in for a long time. I’m glad to finally get it off my chest.

Sort of like: looking over your shoulder to see the future.

Whirligig - whirligig - whirligig. I like that word. I noticed for the first time this season that the maple trees are dropping their seed-heads. Whirligigs!

Exercise! I don't need no stinkin' exercise! Once upon a time I lived in Boston, the big-little city that pulls up the rug incredibly early each night. But it's a great walkable city and I often did so, perambulating North, South (Although not too far South - lots of homeless and the too often associate drug addicted who hung out there ), East and West. If I got tired the MBTA transit system was there to get me home. Now, I live in the North Coast area of MA (So called because it's North of Boston ) and traveling on the MBTA takes lots of planning (Upwards of 2.5 hours each way to get to Boston. The border to Salem, which has already begun with the Halloween festivities, is a long block-and-a-half away but a bus trip takes 45 minutes to get to the core business district). I have no car and so I must walk (That's the exercise part) when possible (Barring torrential rains - we are in drought - or hurricane winds and blizzards). I chose the area because of the amenities such as pharmacies (2) and grocery stores (2) are within reach of a short or longer hike (just over a mile or just over two miles round trip), I get to choose. I also must walk down and walk back up a good-sized hillock to begin and end my trips as part of the walking mileage.

Those people are merely rightly challenged.

I don’t know, dude. It strikes me that this is eerily similar to the exalting of exaltation … which I have already wondered might be exhausting, although I did ask for a friend.

On store-bought Naan: Remove Naan from packaging. "Okay, so far.' : Spritz with water before heating once warmed. "So, I heat the naan and then spritz it with water afterward?" :Lightly brush with Olive oil or butter. "So, is that after the spritzing?" :Bake: 400 degrees for 1 minute. "So, is that before or after the spritzing and basting?" "I'm confused."

What I want to know is might the exalting of exaltation make one exhausted? Asking for a friend.

"Nooo!" "Nooo!' "Nooo! Say it isn't so!" "Umm... "

There should be a story, then nothing....
Ron replied to W_L's topic in Random Thoughts and Statuses
Exactly, why it is that some writers find the need to glom onto the created characters of others only to subvert their entire reason for existence boggles me — it isn’t complimentary, which might otherwise offer an excuse for doing it. -
Deleted. I have no idea why I posted that.

Dang, in ten- (no-nine, no-eight, no-seven, no-six, no-five) minutes I will be sixty-six years old. That is all.

I was for (a good reason) listening to Two Feet's Max Maco Is Dead Right? and the last song is "And I (six-word expletive beginning with 'F' and ending in 'ed.') Up" is the last song. Of course, it is?! Other than its being the last song on this release, it is 'NO-where' near being an 'F' ending in 'ed' Up' song -- it's an example of this musical release leading us back to the beginning.

I have a confession of sorts to make; I have never watched "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" at the movies on a big screen, at least not all the way through. I talked my uncle and his partner into going to see it at the Apollo Theater in Oberlin, OH. We three were 'virgins' as they say and it wasn't long before my relatives decided it was just too weird for them. I have watched it at home a few times on DVD. And I recently found myself thinking that it was about time to watch it again. Surprise; surprise. "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" celebrated the 50th anniversary of its first showing in Los Angeles on Sept. 26, 1975. This movie has the distinction of having the longest running theatrical showing of any movie. How's that for longevity? I’m going to write a story just for you. I’m going to begin with, “You. Yeah, you.” You may think you’re impervious to my machinations (much sniggering), but you aren't. You will succumb. You will fall, just like everyone else, and you will delight in my every word. — The Mule.

I like this word. Merely saying it gives me a frisson of expectation! ”Frisson; Frisson; Frisson.” Ooh, ooh, ooh — goosebumps! Every time.

“Let’s get technical, technical. I wanna get technical. Let’s get into technical. Let me hear your physics talks; your physics talk. Let me hear your physics talk. Let’s get technical, technical. I wanna get technical … .” I paraphrase. CRAP! I see @Bill W has beaten me to the punch! Hmm, it seems that when prompted we like minded think alike. (Also, humor is ‘effing’ humorous.)

Ron is still incredibly sad that his (insert: laziness) has resulted in his (insert: inability) to manage his time. With (insert: unlimited) time he (insert: may have/might have/could have/have had) offered the most (insert: fantastical/stupendous/thought-provoking) story and or stories you have ever had the pleasure of reading. You may even have had a (insert: pleasurable/emotional/questionably awesome) experience while reading his words. To have read one of his stories might well have been ... . Sadly, we will never know. Nevertheless, despite Ron’s (insert: unfortunate) and potentially (insert: devastating) injury to his reputation, I expect you will all have some (insert: phenomenal) stories to read.

Oh, my! Thursday-night antics... Edit: There, that does it. Even though I didn't recognize it at the time, the lack of a hyphen kept bugging me ... Back there, in the back of my mind. All is right with the world ... for now.

I'm glad to have finally gotten around to reading your story. You've written a nicely rendered vignette of youthful memories and the reality of life. I noticed one slip up in the second paragraph (so easy to miss) but not another one. Notwithstanding that single insertion, bravo!

I completely understand. Nevertheless, I personally look up words that I come across in the news or (gasp) a book I’ve been reading. Knowledge is power as they say, and others say, “You never know” so you may be able to work this word into a story of yours at some point. Or to paraphrase Taylor Dayne, “You’ve got to work. Work it girl.”, but I digress.
