I have never seen a story written quite like this before. My first inclination was that it was oddly strange but by complying with the cues, I was able to follow along like a dream. I can take direction. I expected something different from you and you did not disappoint, your imagination astounds me and I enjoyed the wittiness. I really liked it. A lot.

Can an idea by itself be copyrighted? If so, you are going to be in litigation with the porn industry when they rip off your idea for a reality show. I'll say upfront that I don't have any particular favorable view on any of the varied types of social media being promoted here. I use Facebook but that's mostly family related and even so I have been thinking lately about closing that down. I might point out that the leading idea of promoting the authors in the greater categories of Hosted and Promising is a safe bet and that probably should be an initial focus in whatever social media excursion that is decided upon. But! While that is well and good, I would also like to remind everyone not to focus solely in that direction. We have a vibrant and varied community within GA, one that I have come to adore, and that should have its own prominence in however GA is promoted. I came here for the writing and joined because of the greater community. This community isn't just an idea and shouldn't get lost in promoting GA but the idea of a community that you and she and he and that other fella over there can join and belong to... well that should definitely be put out there. People want to belong somewhere - to something. Give them that community.

I live in Boston and I was in Ohio visiting and staying at the family home that day. My mother, stepfather and I were sitting at the kitchen drinking coffee and reading the newspaper together. It was a nice very typical morning back home during a visit that I enjoy each year because I don't have to worry about anything. My mother went into the living room to watch the day-time talk shows and had only been there shortly before a news-break came on showing the first tower after it had been hit. She called out to us that something strange was going on and to come join her. We were not in the room for too long when we saw the second tower get hit. Of course it was an awful and extremely strange day filled with watching the aftermath of the crashes and taking peaks at the sky outside. My partner whom was still in Boston kept calling me, almost begging me to come home. We had many long conversations where I seemed to be holding his hand over the phone. I didn't have a car rental because I went to relax and all of the rental places sold out their fleets quickly and of course all the planes were grounded that day. In the end, my partner managed to connect me to someone in the Cleveland area through a co-worker that was in Ohio for the same reason I was. He had a rental and we shared driving duties back to Boston the next day.

It’s amazing when the words, ‘They made a real mess of his face.’, actually sound sweet. My fear being that although he blew it off, the attention was actually too much for Mark. I didn’t expect that but the little fear was in the back of my mind. I’m glad that wasn’t the case. Now, instead, Mark has instant popularity and all of its ills. Nice that you mentioned Innis and Gunn! It’s a favorite and I have a stupid personal story I may tell you another time. Great writing, Thorn and though no cliffhanger we are still left hanging unless you get your rear end in motion (not sure this applies but seems to be one of those things that people say to encourage) and get in the swing of things (again, not really sure but I think it means focus) and give us more of these two. They’re great characters and I think we could all agree that more than one or two more chapters would not be amiss.

I have always found Jared Leto to be almost pretty and I look forward to seeing him in the part of Rayon. This movie is about the early days of non-existent medications that could be used for treating HIV and the attempt to acquire non approved drugs . I've watched the trailer. Noted and appreciated. Yes, the metaphors were certainly running all over the place weren't they? I see them now that you've pointed them out but I’m not sure that it was conscience effort on my part. The story just seemed to be mostly already ‘there’, if you will, as I typed it. I am very happy that you liked the first person narrative. Your suggestion that using the situation of a morning run can be really cliché is confusing. While one might think the situation somewhat overused, it is something that millions of people do every day. In fact it’s as commonplace as to be not worth remarking upon. Many situations fall into this position, I think, should we not use any of them? I used the run merely as backdrop to showcase more important elements of the story which I’m happy that you point out. I appreciate the criticism concerning the sloppy bits. I didn't see them and I have made the corrections so hopefully the story is better reading and perhaps a little more sparkly. No worries from all the amazing and well thought out reviews you’ve received. Your replies have been thoughtful, informative, and supportive of your work and thank goodness didn’t give anything away. I must say that I was impressed at times when opening a new chapter to discover you chose a wholly different direction than I had expected. Your choice of violence in the restroom may not have been to everyone’s liking but you handled that with great tact. I viewed the action with Eric’s face and the armchair less favorably. While I agree Eric needed shocked out of his protective daddy approach, that particular action was a little over the top. You had my constant attention throughout the story until I finished with it even so and I thoroughly enjoyed your writing and very glad to have read it. The ending, while not the answer everyone might want was perhaps enough. You offered us a bit of resolution to some questions, a great bit of humor and for me a big chuckle bringing Heidi back at the end.

I finally get to a taste of your writing and this is the first thing I run into. You've got the talented gay artist and the long time straight best buddy offering great support, a party and then bang here comes the unexpected in the form of big, wide and strong man. What's not to like.
