Just SP and I for Thanksgiving. Cooked too much food, but it turned out ok. Hope everyone enjoyed their day!
-
Yes - I think all of here care for both of you and send our love and support.

Today is the last day of a two day week (they gave us an "Administrative Day" tomorrow we don't normally get) -- which means one more day to finish five days of work. Then we're off all of next week for the wedding -- and to recover from the wedding.
-
Between the high yesterday and the low tomorrow morning we could have a 50 F swing in temps - we've already hit our high for the day and expect 45mph wind gusts later this morning. Joints are really not liking the shift, but I'll get through it. SP has been wonderful and supportive. One of the reasons I love him.

Wedding planning is at a point of anxiety attacks and stress -- and that's ignoring SP wanting us to write our own vows (the thought legit makes me panic).

I agree that it's stupid and was made obsolete w the invention of electricity. We are currently on Standard [normal] time - we just need to stay on that and not go back on DST in March.

20 F below normal today, cloudy, and a cold rain Joints don't like it

THIS -- "I was only kidding" is the line used by those who know they've <beeped> up but don't have the courage to actually admit to it, and is also a way to try to make YOU feel guilty for genuinely being insulted. It is gaslighting.

Rant away -- it's how we stay sane (-ish)

College town, so traffic is really light during the summer; heavier during the school year; and 🦇💩 crazy on home game days (like today).

Almodopine sent me to the ER -- it caused my blood pressure to rapidly spike. Sister-in-law was on it and she said it lowered her top # but caused her bottom # to go up. Lisinopril works for me, mostly, as does metoprolol. Irbesartan worked but caused my resting heart rate to increase 150% Found out I'm very sensitive to bp Rx and am ridiculously low levels -- but they're working.

Eval's are a small torture.

Severe weather last night, but we missed the hail and tornadoes -- just got some well-needed rain and a bit of wind (but not enough to cause significant damage). Hope everyone's week is going well.

Glad it was a good day.

Met with the officiant last night for almost an hour long talk about the sequence of events for the service. Slowly getting some things nailed down.
-
Wedding is only about 8-weeks away and we're still trying to get some things nailed down. I keep having to remind SP that it's close than he thinks it is. The invitations need to go out and we don't even have a full guest list typed up yet! Not to mention minor things like FLORAL. <sigh> Just had to rant a bit this morning. I know everything will come together in the end the way it was meant to and am trying not to stress over it, but I'll feel better once all the details are nailed down.

Sounds fun -- but my birthday is in November; in Oklahoma. Unless it was an indoor heated pool, you'd freeze your bits off. lol

Stopped at Urgent Care today to make sure I was doing everything I should be for the thumb. Dr. gave me a scrip for a salve to put on it. Got home and read the pamphlet on it -- It's not supposed to be used on OPEN SKIN WOUNDS. That's exactly what I have after the shaving off part of the side of my thumb. <sigh> Good news is I am doing everything I should be doing for it.

When using a mandolin to slice things up for supper, please be careful - even if you are using the shield. Injury to my thumb is relatively minor, compared to what it could have been. Sink looked like an abattoir. 😟

At least they're taking turns instead of all acting up together?

Voltaren doesn't do much for my joint pain, but it does WONDERS for the neuropathy in my left foot.

Story told by my mother: when my brother was young and just starting out an account at a bank - to learn how to handle money and the other fund stuff with growing up -- there was an issue. The bank teller rather rudely told mom that the account wasn't "enough to bother with / be worth her time" [or something like that]. The man in line behind her heard that comment, and preceded to inform the teller that he could guarantee that HIS accounts were worth their time -- but if that was the way they treated other customers he would be closing them out and transferring all of his funds to another bank. Apparently, he wasn't lying as the teller lost all her color. Be nice to your customers -- you never know who is overhearing your interactions.

Meatloaf: The good girls/boys go to heaven, but the bad girls/boys go everywhere.
