Glad this is Friday - it's been an unusually frantic and stressful start to the semester, not helped by the Dept. Head not really "getting it" [insert any important topic for 'it']

Worst part for me was the lidocaine (?) injection. Any pain from the dye injection was hidden from the general pain caused by laying on a barely padded metal table. Hip is still a bit tender this morning if I put pressure on it just right, but that should fade as the morning moves on.

Today is the day from my "arthrogram" in the City - wish me luck.

When my house burned to the ground about 12 years ago [it really doesn't seem that long] it was the end of July and the heat index was over 115F -- they were rotating the firemen out every 5-10 minutes.

it's been a long day. We have scattered small showers today and storms moving in tomorrow morning so I hurt. Then I get home to find SP's [censored] neighbor -- the one who complained about him trying to trim a tree that's 90%+ clearly on his property line -- made an "anonymous" complaint to code enforcement about the state of his house. It's not hard to figure out who made the complaint as it's been in its current condition for some time and any of the other neighbors would have already said something. So we now have 60-days to "fix" things. [the tree is a fruiting mulberry; a great tree to have AWAY from your house when it's small, but not a good one to have when it's huge and right next too it. I hope he's enjoying the purple bird poop all over his back yard.] I will grant that it is not in the best of condition, but we have been trying to line up someone to do repairs. COVID -- and the $$ increase on many things -- has made that difficult.

That actually brought to mind a completely different meaning than most I think. It reminded me of "The Saddest Song I've Got" by Annie Lennox: Now you're no longer talking And I'm no longing hearing There's nothing left to say Said it anyway

Well, after three different te$ts they've decided my mild anemia is exactly what my retired nurse friend said it was in the beginning -- the different Rx's I take. Solution is an iron supplement. If it weren't for the history of cancer on mom's side of the family, I might have just assumed that was the case and not done the tests.

It's orientation week so things are insane. Nearly underwater in payroll issues.
-
Awake early, trying to be quiet as SP sleeps, listening to the rain and hoping the joints calm down.
-
I have them as well, and you describe them pretty well. The worst one I had really did feel like having a heart attack while being smothered w. a pillow.

Was a long week this week, but things should start calming down some as it gets closer to school starting and all the new payroll paperwork gets sorted. SP is at work now, and my joints are feeling the "cold" front moving in. Try to keep the patience @rickproehl, though it can be difficult to do.

Green plums??

Have a great day everyone

Heard in the news this morning there were severe storms (& tornadoes?) in Ontario yesterday. Hope everyone up there is ok.

SP has his 1st meeting w a therapist this morning to deal w. his growing depression. I hope they can find a way to reign it in.

In the US, about 40% of the food purchased each year is thrown out.
-
I enjoy computer games when I need an escape -- something SP hasn't quite fit into reality yet. Been trying to explain I'm not ignoring him when I do this, I'm trying to de-stress so I don't snap at him.

Just be sure you look for "coloring books for adults" and not "adult coloring books" -- they'll return to VERY different sets of results. 😏
-
I think you'd have a ready list of waiting campers.
-
SP has agreed to see the Dr about short-term anti-depressants -- he's predisposed anyway and the thyroid swings haven't helped things any. Had to guilt him into it, but he's doing it.
-
I had a thought when the rifle went flying that it wasn't Max who did it -- I can see the panic and fear bringing to surface a power ability that was close to coming forward.
-
May also slow down the reinforcements from the transport that struck the borer.
-
Doesn't matter. When that happens, those underpants will no longer be clean.

The Moth in the Void planning on attacking Engris -- that's not good. But if they can interact with and adjust the working of Engris, why can't they just turn on the defenses of Lyrgris? My guess is them saying they hadn't been defined yet, like they are on Engris.

Loving the start of the story -- not being on her as regularly as I used to be has be behind a bit.
