The best part was the lying together/snuggling. Paul sounds like the perfect person to hide/protect Corbin what with his wilderness skills, etc.
-
I like Chad. I like that he and Paul are as close as they are. Hope Bruce doesn't become an issue. A wood-fired hot-tub in the snow. How awesome does that sound?
-
Does Paul have a secret to share too, eventually? The fact he is one hunk of a Man does not seem to be a secret. LOL. So, as per the last paragraph, ignorance really is bliss then...
-
Hooray. Seems like Paul and We are about to get at least part of Corbin's story. And a phone within a phone. Okay. So an International Spy or a Hitman?
-
I can understand how this could be slightly insulting, but the best part of the whole chapter was the, '...and not in the fun, popular at parties way...' That made me laugh out loud. OMG. I can't wait to use that on someone. "Gosh 'enter name'. You suck. And not in the fun, popular at parties way!" Poor Paul. To get up the courage to make a move only to be rejected. Okay, need to know about Liam, who Mr Harris is/what he does and why Corbin had to reject Paul.
-
Wow. Corbin, like I would be, is smitten already. He has/had a Handler? Why? What did he used to do? Paul was kinda cute with his mini-make-over. Damn. I need to have some one teach me how to cut wood. That was low key hot.
-
Really? Chapter 2 and already we meet the man of my dreams. Wait, let me qualify that comment. How much over 6ft is Paul the Mountain Man? Please say he is 6ft 5in or taller... Corbin, you go get you some of that. If I can't, then you better. Hmmm. Maybe not '...of my dreams...' cause neither of us can cook?!?! Oh, what the hell. We'll make do.

What is he running from and it really as bad as he makes out? LOVE the cabin and the furnishings. Only thing missing (unless I missed it) was a body of water. Even a simple babbling brook would have sufficed. Has enough money to buy the cabin outright but then not a lot left, so not uber well off then? And who is the stranger at the door and how do they fit into this story? Goodie or Baddie?

Well done Lucinius. It is "unfortunate" that Aumen was forced into slavery, but at least he ended up with you. His Ampas are helping out heaps. Good on them. Can't wait to see what the property 'looks' like when finished. His Mother's first visit will be way cool. As will Duccius'.

I am really enjoying this tale. I love the story, the characters, the non-violent revenge (that I cannot wait for just to see the look/realisation on Appia's mug), etc. I know that you post two chapters a day but I was really happy to see this one, like it was a bonus or something. It felt really good to be back with Lucinius and his potential future. The mosaic floor was really promising and I assume it will be stunning once totally cleared and cleaned. Can't wait for the next chapter...and luckily, I don't have to cause it's here

That last scene with D'gar and F'drun would have made a really good movie scene. Especially with Herebeth catching him like that. I love how Herebeth mind-screamed at D'gar and told him off too. I was always anti anything happening to Ryth just because of who his Rider was, but I suppose it had to happen. Helped a little that Ryth attacked Folath like that. A nano-little. Then of course there was the whole ignoring Ramoth thing too. Another nano-little. I really think T'bor needs to wake up and smell the klah in relation to Kylara. Hope this is the 'push' he needs. D'gar and H'rek have declared their love. BIG sigh...

Lucinius is the type of person to turn his land into a productive juggernaut. He has brains and heart. Especially with the help of his Mother, Grandfathers and other Friends he will be more than fine. His SD, not so much.
-
So, his lessons went about as one would expect. Him and Talon are progressing, if somewhat slowly. And bonus? There was no Lex in this chapter!

I am really happy for Lucinius in that he not only gets a break from his Sperm Donor (SD) but that he gets to spend time with his understanding, encouraging Ampa. However, I will admit to waiting for the boom to drop. Lucinius will survive because he has to. I hope his Ampa and Mother do not come to harm and that Duccius stays a loving, supportive Brother. As for SD, well...

I don't think Appias' hatred is based on any jealousy towards Lucinius, etc. He has had this distaste for his Second Son almost since birth. Jealousy may now be a component of his hatred, but it was not the prime factor in the formulation of said hatred. He really is just a macho asshole brute. Maybe sayings like 'Information is Power' and 'The Pen is Mightier Than the Sword' had not yet been uttered, etc. Appias is still a @#$%*! Thank the Gods (Greek or Roman) that Lucius has a brain in his head.
-
Just please let Lucius be 100% different than his Son. Please! I am so worried about Lucinius. Celia can only do so much.
-
Me too! At first I thought it was a typo and that Lucinius was somehow typed in instead of Duccius. Then the name appeared a few more times, I went back to the previous chapter to see if I had missed anything? So my previous comment about Duccius being the "hero" of the story is incorrect. At least I got the "worried" part right. Just not what and who I thought it was all about. Appias is officially a @#$%&+!
-
I am worried. Not sure what about as I don't know what is going to happen. Just worried. However, Celia seems sensible and Duccius is the "hero" of the story, I am assuming. In regards to the comments about stupid Senators, y'all are too kind. Way too kind.

Well, well, well. And what did we find out I wonder? Good premise/start Cal.
-
Did y'all hear about Operation Lost Angels? So very sad. Hope Los Angeles has a place like Sanctuary or a person like Brad. Hope they catch the Traffickers, their backers, etc. Makes this story even more relevant.

Oh no. Sorry. I don't think Nick did anything wrong. He just didn't know. Apart from the past couple of days, he lived in a totally different country. He has no idea why he was bought to said different country. I would be even more curious than he is. It seems logical to me that he would be curious about his new surroundings. I also think Brad was heavy handed at worst and over-reacted at best. He has over 300 kids who have been through some truly horrific situations, but all Nick did was go for a walk. The world can be a scary place and caution is always good. But don't turn it into a scary place for someone, "You could end up in a slave auction or barrel". Does he say that to Bubba every time he takes Sandy for a Walk or goes home? And abide by our rules or you can leave now. Oh, you mean the rules he didn't know about? The ones where there is no indication in the chapter he was actually told about? So someone somewhere decides to take this Kid away from everything he has ever known and sends him (as far as we know) to a country he has never been to before and where he knows no-one and Brad is okay to potentially put this Kid out on the streets? Sorry. I don't get it.

Yeah. Boy sometimes reality can suck. I never really thought about it before. However, when I was a Feral, it was all about tea. I wasn't a purist so loved tea bags when they came along. Alot less messy. No tea leaves all over the place. Not only was I not a purist, but I was a real heathen. I always had milk and sugar in my tea. We never really had coffee in our house. Now, New Zealand has such an amazing Coffee Culture (for a small country of 5million people) and there are cafe's all over the place. A simple large long black for me please.

I know, which is why I said that I understood where Brad was coming from. I think Pat understands where Brad is coming from too. This understanding will be strengthened when Pat takes over from Brad (as expected?) and likely has to go through the same thing himself. I just realised, when Brad and Pat were having the adoption discussion and Pat cried. I thought Pat was crying because Brad couldn't/wouldn't adopt him. Maybe he was crying because Brad wanted to adopt him in the first place. That is a better option. I'll go with that.

Poor Cyn. So the Silver Wolf broke Lycan Law by attacking a Cernunnos? Normal every day deer are okay, just not fellow were's. I wonder how many other Cernunnos don't know that as well. Would make a big difference in their lives, etc. Just imagine, no more having to be "on guard" 24/7. So, I wonder who is about to walk through the door? Does Cyn know them? Is it the one that saved him, but then why would he be so scared? The Lycan Doctor has been pretty awesome.

I remember the first time I met one of my Cousin's first Wife. She was actually worried that my Cousin and I were going to come to blows?!?! I was actually shocked. We were just talking to each other. I guess my Family leans towards the ruthless side of things. Any opportunity and we're in for the kill Good times! Sorry, not sorry. Still on Team Ritchie.
