  1. I think it was funny teasing him about the age of consent. I cant wait to see how Jasper reacts to it all. He is quite the grumpy bear in the morning. Hahaha!!! Great job Tim!!

    Here We Come!

I think we've been maneuvered into a dangerous situation, but that's okay. That's why we read a thriller. It's good to see Barry recognizes his own weaknesses. Great job making him the steady voice after his breakdown. It read very true. Now we will see what's next. I can't wait to see what's up. Thanks Robert!
  3. Well, it certainly went well telling Kendal's mom. I wonder why Michael was trying to divert him from doing so though. In the end, Micha l toke his hand like it wasn't a problem. Hmmm! Interesting. I'm guessing the confrontation with the old man happens next chapter. I wonder how old crabby pants takes it. Regardless, it's important for Kendall to do for himself. His mother recognizes it's about having an adult relationship with your child. She sees that. We'll see if his dad feels the same. Great job Gary! Keep up the good work.
  4. Thanks redhot93!! I'm still planning on bringing the boys back. I'm glad you enjoyed the story. It's always fun for me to get these reviews after the original posting. It gives me a nice memory of the fun I had. I appreciate the kind words.
  5. Sorry that detail about Chuck grandmothers was confusing. I thought I'd made it clear but obviously not. Anyway, I think the two sets of twins will be great fun when I get around to the sequel. They will be quite the handful for their uncles to watch, don't you think? Thanks so much Tim. I'm glad you enjoyed my little story.
  6. Yeah, it was his other grandmother. Nanna isn't dead. And yes, the porcupines need to find there way to make love very carefully. The Kellies had some fun too!!!
  7. Yeah, there's quite a bit of delusion going on. Isaac is a pretty stubborn guy and I don't think he'll let this go lightly. Thanks Tim!!! I'm having a blast reading your impressions. It's reliving the story for me.
  8. Well, you don't have to fear the worst. It needs to all come out and get aired. Sunshine and openness are the best disinfectants. Thanks Tim!!! I'm so glad you enjoyed this story.
  9. Everybody knows the truth and no one wanted to say anything. The sanitized version is what got stuck in Dylan's head and it messed up his feelings about relationships. Thanks Tim!!!
  10. Thanks Tim!!! Abby is a despicable character. I wanted some of Dylan's initial impressions to become reflected in his mother's behavior and attitude. She is an incredibly selfish woman and didn't see how her meddling would affect her son. Thanks for the review.
  11. Well, that was one of my problems with the chapter. I never should have had the trust fund thing at all. It was originally supposed to be Dylan refused to let his father pay for anything and somehow I concocted this thing which is a story inconsistency. Oh well. Once I get to revising before a sequel, I'll fix it. Thanks Tim!!!
  12. Yeah, I think the Kellies weren't sure what to say. It was a bit of a coincidence that turned into something else. I love kids and I thought precocious ones would be kind of funny. Thanks Tim!!
  13. Thanks Tim! I really wanted to show how first impressions can be wrong and also how people can change when they are happier. I'm glad it worked for you.
  14. Happy Birthday! Hope you had a great day.
  15. Exactly the kind of manipulation I'd expect! They are using the guys as pawns on a chess board. If they go to New Orleans, Barey is going to get found out. There is no way he won't. In fact, I'm guessing they know that. Oh, so much intrigue. Fantastic new twist that offers so much grist for the mill. Great job Robert!

    Chapter 30

This chapter moved so quickly, so many things have changed. The way you had the news treat Neil and the Rosewood's story was very compelling. I liked that. I also like how Neil is slowly warming to Liam and head over heels for Alf. That is such an interesting and fresh approach. I'm wondering how Neil's mother is taking all this. She seems to truly adore her son. I think his dad is probably tearing himself up too. Of course, he should be feeling torn. I'm looking forward to seeing how they deal with this situation. As always, great job Graeme. It looks like we have a lovely month before Neil's birthday. Yeah! Lots more story!
  17. Fathers and sons have such a complex dynamic. So many men feel their fathers are disappointed in them. So many fathers think they've failed their sons. The reality is usually nothing even close to either of their perspectives. It will be interesting to see how you handle it. Kendall's dad will be an interesting study. I'm looking forward to it. Great job Gary!
  18. The Scrapbook The ‘ding-ding-ding’ sound of someone winning jolted Brian out of his trance. He’d been watching Roger push the cart with a new beer keg across the playing room floor of Ruby Jo’s Casino and appreciating the show. He shook his head like a wet dog and turned to get the step stool out of the way. “You’re staring at him again,” a tinkling voice teased him. Brian turned and saw his coworker Lydia was shaking her head with a smirk gracing her bright red lips. “He’s gonna catch yo
  19. Sometimes a scrapbook can tell us everything we need to know.
  20. Michael's parents are a hoot. Teasing the guys was pretty funny. I wonder what you're doing with Chet. He seems a bit more of a character than i thought he'd be. Hmmm... interesting. Great job.
  21. I probably wont be on later either so here's my comment and question. I think you handled the nonconsensual situation with grace and grit. What i mean is you treated the characters respectfully yet dealt with it honestly. My question is, do you think such difficult subject matter made your writing better and more deliberate? Both characters are so realistic to me. I really enjoyed the story.

    Chapter 29

Such a lot of action in this one. I hope Neil finds a way to forgive Liam. Fantastic job. Really enjoying it.
  23. This is awesome!!! Youve earned it my dear. Congrats!!!
  24. That was fascinating and quite powerful. Frank/Barry is trying to cope with his losses. Dave is wonderful. His concern and care is coming through so beautifully. Guys do withdraw when they face such erasure. His reaction was believable and moving. This chapter is very thoughtful and must have been challenging to write. You did a great job. I am impressed. I can't wait to see what's next. Thank you for sharing it.
  25. The best part of this chapter was their discussion of words identifying their relationship. I read a case study by a psychologist who recorded a couple attending counseling as their home became my home and our things became mine and his. This is an observation of the formation of a couple but its fascinating how words help us form relationships. Great job Gary!!!!
