  1. Thanks Val! Donnie occupied my brain for a bit and made me post it. It wasn't autobiographical in the least! *fingers crossed*
  2. Haha! It wasn't a dream though. I remember that scene well. After the first chapter I realized how odd the situation was. After the second chapter, I saw a theme and ran with it. I liked Donnie expressing himself through the strange story. I'm glad I made you smile Carlos. I had fun with it.
  3. The Twisted Tale of Donnie Malone – Strangely enough, no prompt. “What are you doing up there?” Fahd shouted up the stairs as the last rat-a-tat-tat of the printer spit out the last page. “I’ve got something for you,” Donnie called back. He neatened up the pages and put a clip on the top. After running his finger over the title page which read, “Pursued; A Love Story,” he stood up and bounded down the stairs. Fahd was sitting in his favorite lounge chair flipping through the latest Cook
  4. Perfect description of this story. It is addictive, takes you up and down, and you want to take Corbin out back and give him a good talking to. And you do it because you grow to care for him.
  5. Another great chapter Gary. They are like brothers it seems bordering on twins. The care and concern runs so deeply. Then you throw in the wrinkle of Jeremy the cute assistant. He seems very in tune with Kendall's state of mind, which is a useful skill for an aide. But it could be more. Intriguing. Great job! Thanks for sharing with us.
  6. Thanks Tim! I believe you'll enjoy what happens.
  7. Thanks Tim! I'm glad you enjoyed the cuteness. I like it sometimes.
  8. I can hear you singing! That's wonderful. Raleigh is who he is for a reason. You are right, love is in the air. Thanks Tim!
  9. That is so true, Tim! Nanna did what she had to do. I'm glad you see that.
  10. Thanks Tim! Well, salt gives food flavor and chef's use it to highlight their favors. Sometimes too much but that's what they do. Welcome to the hate Isaac Club! There are many members at this point. For these two guys who are gunshy, they are still nervous.
  11. I had to go read the chapter again. I did make it gruesome. I'm glad it was scary too. Thanks Tim!
  12. Sorry about that. I do enjoy them. Thanks Tim!
  13. I suspect Isaac might like your punishment a little too much. Haha! Anyway, he is a bit of a troublemaker. He's also impetuous and you'll see he is an important part of the story. People aren't always their first impression. Thanks Tim!
  14. Thanks Tim! I'm glad your getting into it. I loved the two siblings watching out over their brothers. They need it as you can see!
  15. Dylan isn't a good judge of what's best for him. That's hopefully quite clear. You'll find out why as the story develops. His back story makes him both doubt himself and make blind decisions. Thanks Tim!
  16. You characterize it quite well. Neither one knows how to handle the other. They are especially sensitive and prickly, I hope. Thanks Tim!
  17. Most restaurant jobs, especially servers, don't work enough hours to be full time. Its a pretty ordinary situation here. Thanks for the question.
  18. That he does! Thanks for the review Tim!
  19. Thanks Litlover! What don't you get? They drove to Florida and the authorities arrested Kevyn's husband, Donnie Malone, a different guy. Does that explain it. Now we will see what this is all about.
  20. Donnie and Fahd drove to Florida to Fahd's parents. Along the way, they hooked up. Kevyn's murderer was nabbed. It was her estranged husband. Donnie and Fahd don't know it seems.
  21. Prompt #386 - Key Largo Use the following words in a story – angry teenager, a bright pink balloon, an elephant, a pie, and a note. Donnie fiddled with the temperature knob, but to no avail. The rental car’s air conditioning system refused to turn on. Instead hot, steamy air poured from the vents making the inside of the vehicle even more humid and uncomfortable. The man rolled down the window hoping for some relief though the air coming in was almost as hot. He looked over at Fahd sleepi
  22. I got a sad feeling when I saw this was the first part of an epilogue. I didn't want it to end. Of course, it must and so this was a marvelous way to begin saying goodbye. I loved the way you wove the events of the past few years together. It was very clear yet also gave the reader little surprise treats. Very clever and the effect worked perfectly. Thanks so much Sasha for a lovely story and a great approach to telling it.

    Chapter 24

Glad to see Neil is starting to come out of his shell. That is a difficult process for the victim on a bully. However, some confidence returning does tend to heal wounds rather quickly. I like to see Liam trying so hard to be a decent person. As Clarissa points out, he's doing so for ulterior motives. She's quite right about that. I hope Dave starts to feel more of himself. I can see Pamela's issue with Deon. That is good advice to him. She needs to understand his goals and find a supportive role. Deon should also find his place in her life. Anyway, wonderful job and now my Saturday morning feel s right. Thanks Graeme!!!!

    Ginned Up

Fantastic job Addy!!! You have displayed the messy, confusing, emotional shoals that lovers experience. It's not rational or logical but it is understandable and relateable. This scene was expertly and bravely just perfect in portraying how passion blinds us and makes us lash out sometimes to our own detriment. I really didnt do that much. It was all there Addy. I'm very proud of you.
  25. Wonderful job with it Val!!!
