I knew you had a trick up your sleeve!!! Very clever and fair, i think. Frank is dead and buried. Quite honestly, im glad that man is gone. Barry has learned a valuable lesson though he paid for it losing his sons. They paid too. I cant wait to see how Dave deals with this. My only question is why would his coworkers and bosses accept such an awful plea bargain? Otherwise it was really well explained and revealed in a wonderful way. Great job!!! Thanks.
You really know how to tug on the heart strings. That was gut wrenching in the best sense of it. I could feel their distress. I could hear Kendall's raspy voice. Great job and keep going!!!! It's awesome.
Thanks! This was the character sketch and setup for The Art of Being Gay. Along with A Kiss Goodbye, it provided me with characters that drove that story. I'm glad you liked it.
That was definitely hot! Great job bringing the pieces together and giving Clem and Ashlee a sizzling first time together. I thought the scene at the rodeo seemed very honest. Nate is so concerned about his status he can't think of anything else. He would back down in the face of looking foolish. Thanks Sasha!
Thanks LitLover!!! Certainly Donnie is worried. It does seem strange that Fahd just shows up and 'saves' him. We'll see what happens next! I'm wondering too!!!
The Big Sleep
Prompt #384 – First Line
“Since when do I have to tell you everything?”
The swarthy Middle Eastern man growled at Donnie, giving him a dirty look. “I’m trying to save your life. Now tell me, what did the police say to you?”
Donnie looked out the glass at the whirling white snow. He was scared, confused, and now barreling down the Interstate in the middle of a blizzard. Donnie felt like he’d been kidnapped not saved. “You’re the one who got me into this mess. That’s accord
Hey Val!
Im not as polite and deferential as our meek and mild friend Carlos. This is a tremendous beginning to a story. We need more!!!! Im now stomping my feet and ranting until you promise at least a little more to the story!!!
Oh, by the way. I Really loved it.
Gary, you tore my heart out. Many gay men have experienced these emotions. I had a best friend I loved. I walked away because I was In over my head. I never had this moment, or should I say he never heard how I felt. This was the scene I avoided. I wonder how he would have taken it. I'll never know.
So, that being said, I await what is next. You have struck a chord in me. Great job! Be fearless, honest, and you will do well. Thank you for sharing this with us. Thumbs up!
Oh, that was such a beautiful and romantic scene! I loved the night sky, the vulnerability, and the swift pattering of two hearts. Such a lovely, sensual chapter. Sure there are some issues but the amour is in the air. Great job Addy! I loved it!
I loved the vignette. It had great personality given its short length. I could see Blake somewhat and definitely John's smug, smirking face. Austin came through like a hero, his confident action and troubled face animating the end of the scene. Great job!
I smell a rat, a few of them. Really intense, well paced scene where the reader could feel the tension mount. You could also see that doom was coming. I hope the news is seeded and the guys remembered their bullet proof vests. They were suspiciously missing. I'm on the edge of my seat. Biting my nails.
This chapter gives life to the old saying, "old sins cast long shadows." Liam is now visited and stymied by his pasts actions. How to gain Neil's attention and more importantly his trust. That is difficult in ordinary circumstances but he has the added challenge of nobody around trusting him either. I love the secret admirer angle. It gives them both a little hope. I do think at some point Liam will have to prove his turning to Neil. It will probably be in a situation neither of them can avoid. But, I prognosticate enough.
Is this a new wrinkle for Neil, having been attacked previously? When the girls took his arms, it seemed more serious than the bullying. I wonder how that plays out.
Wonderful chapter. Graeme, you are a master at dragging me into their world. Thank you!
