    Winky

Winky Cal opened the screen door to his porch and stepped inside quietly. He gently knocked the snow off his boots trying not to make a sound. It was late, again. He didn’t want to go inside and face the music, again. They were trying really hard to make this week as stress-free as possible, for her sake. But Jess wasn’t as good at hiding his irritation as Cal was. The apartment he’d looked at was so white, so sterile and empty. While the 1550 Loring Lane building was clean and well kept
  2. Happy Birthday!!!! Have a special day.

    Gay Whales

That was hilarious!!!! I have a few friends who are busbodies like that. I could almost hear them talking!! Fantastic job.
  5. I loved this. Revenge and love are such powerful bed partners, in our own minds. The tension you invoked was palpable. Fantastic portrayal of the fears, and considerations, of a relationship. Great job Wyane and thank you for sharing! Great guys too!
  6. This is fantastic Jo Ann and Ron! Awesome job. OMG kisses to Joann414 for the shout out! *smooch*

    Chapter 20

Riveting, immediate, and told with a great deal of finesse and detail. Really well done Graeme. The triggers, the breakdown, and the loss of consciousness were all portrayed seamlessly. You've done a great job up until now preparing the reader for this event. While it was traumatic, you handled it respectfully and realistically. This isn't an easy thing to do, but you made it feel like we were there. At least I got that impression. So, thank you for your hard work. Don't worry about if you did this right. You did a superb job, truly artful and compelling. Thank you for sharing it.

    Clean Cut

I'm glad Jonah got a haircut and made his break. I loved this chapter because of Rick and Matteo. Such good guys who obviously love him. thanks Addy!
  9. I hope you see in the last chapter how Chad's parents atone for their past sins. Peterson is such an interesting character to me. His personality and situation is so common and yet we struggle with his issues. I'm really trying to show, not tell, these characters which is always difficult. I'm not sure the Tony's of the world ever voluntarily wash their hats. They take pride in them being as grungy as they are? Hahaha!!! Thanks Irri! I'm glad it was moving.
  10. Reuniting Chad 's family is a gift. So is Wes getting to introduce a great guy to his family. My feeling is Wes' brother are going to love a big lug like Angus. They'll approve of him. Madeline's little baby is a little nugget I wanted to include. Kendra deserved her own little HEA. Thanks so much LadyDe! I'm happy you've been loving it!
  11. Sorry to hear about your own father. I think things have changed and for Chads parents, it isn't something they could stand, not having a relationship with their son. Wes' family is more supportive than he even realizes. I think that happens too. Sorry about the music selections but you should just ignore if you want. I wanted to give readers something to listen to while reading. Anyway, thank you so much ColumbusGuy, I'm glad you've enjoyed the story. I've had such joy with these characters
  12. Food for the soul has to be one of the most touching comments I've ever received. I strive to do that. I'm glad the little taste of each man's background worked. I hoped to finish off their back stories. As far as Kendra, I did promise a HEA for them all and Kendra deserved it too. I will tell you a secret, just keep it to yourself. Madeleine's little bundle of joy is an Easter egg. Thank you so much Gary! Merry Christmas!
  13. I got the who's Tony from both Huk and Val. But you know me, I'm full of misdirection! Lol! Christmas is a time of miracles and good will. Thanks Addy!
  14. What a wonderful review, Carlos! I'm so thrilled you found it so moving. Thank you!
  15. Thank you Litlover! I'm glad you liked it.
  16. Thanks Robert! I'm not sure Peterson has even forgiven himself yet. I'm glad the holiday spirit came through. I appreciate the wonderful review!
  17. Do You Hear What I Hear? Tony stomped hard onto the porch floor shaking loose the snow that encrusted his boots. He brushed his green John Deere coat and then banged his Green Bay Packer hat against his jeans, the white stuff flying off the cap. He carefully brushed the last flakes off and put it back on his head. Sure, it was old and stained, but it was his favorite. Tony only then opened the front door and let the delicious warmth and scent of cinnamon apple candles greet him. “Mom, you
  18. I loved the story and thought it had an inner psychology that was quite distinctive. Nick was confident but he didnt need to overwhelm. I guess that would be an important trait in the Claus lineage and ethos. When you have toys to give to children on Christmas you cant be a shrinking violet!!! Thanks for sharing!

    Chapter 5

Okay Sasha, this story is in the running for being my favorite. I love the tension, the positioing, and the courage displayed. Regardless of the reasons, im loving it. Thanks!!!
  20. Happy Birthday Talon! Have a great day!
  21. Happy Birthday! Do something special for yourself!
  22. Thank you! I'm thrilled to see you're reading my story! I love your writing!
  23. Happy Birthday! Hope you had a great day!
  24. Thanks ColumbusGuy! Yeah, too intense is exactly it. There was a time when I was all for it. I wanted the music to run through me but no more. I'm glad you're enjoying it.
  25. I love this question! I adore being surprised. Ran is not in that camp. I caught him opening and rewrapping presents because it drove him nuts. I tried to hide for years. I finally gave up. But, he loves to know so I concede that to him. Regardless we enjoy it and exchanging little presents is fun. Oh well. I'm a mediocre present wrapper. I hope the gift is thoughtful. Oh, Sasha in the poll, I wanted to vote for books as a present. They have always been my favorite.
