    I try and provide background for most characters throughout the story. Tough at times since I end up with quite a cast. Lourdes is more concerned with status and appearances than anything else, and her husband's just a moron. Unfortunately, men like him are a dime a dozen, particularly in the military. Their need to prove their masculinity turns them into raving homophobes. Obviously, Brett is the counterpoint. He's out and doesn't care what anyone thinks.

    Thank you. Brett and Cesar will have a very different approach to child rearing. CJ's a teenager in pain and they'll try anything to get help him get his head together. The brother will show up again.

    The episode was inspired by something that happened in Miami Beach. Years ago, a bunch of guys were arrested for soliciting sex in a park's public restroom. Not the smartest thing to begin with, but it turned out two young studly cops were enticing them. The media went ape-shit over the entrapment and the two cops were reassigned. SO yes, you're right. It can happen anywhere.

    Thank you my friend. I wanted something fun to wrap around a couple of opportunities to explore CJ's world-view. Since short stories are supposed to have a twist, I brought Taylor Swift into the picture. Nobody's shocked CJ gets to meet her. LOL

    I drive stick. Last time I rented a car I got lost looking for the pedal with my left foot. First car was a 1972 Dodge Dart. Handed down from my father who always drove a company van.

    CJ's luckier than most kids rejected by their parents for their sexual orientation. Having a father who won't judge him for who he's attracted to will go a long way to help him heal his broken heart.

    Only one problem, while Fantasy Island's set in a tropical paradise, Inked takes place in a slighly cooler spot. Alaska. And instead of a plane, we use a helicopter.

    I had my hopes Trevor would go home with a guy, then Shannon shows up. Bitch's messing with my fantasies. Brandon knows his business. He works the crowd for tips well, but I get the feeling he truly enjoys dealing with all type of men. Jumping off the stage to greet someone in a wheelchair was dope. I remember the first time I saw someone in wheels dancing at a gay club. I couldn't understand how they could enjoy. Wound up chatting with the guy and dancing around him. It's difficult but it brought him joy and that's all that matters.

    I loved this chapter. You can tell those guys in PA are truly fond of each other. Having the little shit show up in the story was great and your weaving fiction, within fiction was cool as hell. Lady Jessica's gonna love those wines if Brandon ever shares.

    Shoot me now. I'm a traditionalist. However, as with frozen margaritas, I've made strawberry and mango versions. And while we use white sugar (or simple syrup) these days, the original called for brown sugar.

    That car in the picture made me think of Dragon. I bet if CJ can talk the Cuban and US government into letting him buy one, Dragon would leave Hawaii for a while to help Harley restore it. By the way, the other part of the morning I spent with orangutans and flamingos at the National Zoo in DC. LOL I played hooky yesterday, I have some serious color on my face and body, and have spent today with CJ, Owen, and Liebe.

    OMG! Where did you get that recipe? That's not a daiquiri. It might be tasty, but it's definitely not what's been served at El Floridita for almost 100 years. White rum, lime (never, ever, ever, lemon) juice, and sugar. All three ingredients easily available in Cuba. No lemons because they weren't grown on the island. The Floridita served it as a frozen concoction and that was what Papa drank. But there's a cocktail card from the late 1800's, signed by an American engineer, suggesting it had been around for decades before. I spent a good chunk of the morning reading about the cocktail and the place. It'll probably wind up as one or two lines. LOL
