Okay, I have a question, I waited till now to ask it So Shane seems to be writing the story of Trevor's entire journey. They have gone over everything to date so far. Since CJ is telling us the story, could that mean that he actually stole Shane's story from his yet unpublished book Me thinks the goat may be dabbling in plagiarism I think we need a impartial moderator to adjudicate on this charge. Anyone want to name an impartial moderator? Just saying.......

Hey, we used to have WHSmith's all over the place in Canada. Well you are right, if you are working, you can not approach or apprehend anyone unless you see them yourself. You can just try to make the shoplifter uncomfortable enough that they ditch the product and leave. If you did based on someone's word, you would be setting yourself up for false arrest if they had ditched it from when the person saw them till when they told you. A few year's back I was walking in a large mall and one store had racks just outside the front entrance of the store when two teens started looking and lifted a shirt and pants combo worth a couple of hundred bucks off the rack. I yelled in the store to a clerk that he just got robbed and started after the two who started running. The one with the clothes ditched the clothes by a bench and they ran out an emergency exit. Would I do it again, maybe. Was I stupid at the time, yes. I had my 9 and 6 y/o godkids with me and what would have happened if they stopped and started to fight? Stupid sadly on my part

Sadly, the hockey game ends and the news turns to the rioting and flipping and burning of cars in the streets of Vancouver. I hate that some bad apples will tarnish a great city overall

Well a huge CONGRATULATIONS to the Boston Bruins I personally think that the better team won in this case. Two evenly matched team, but the better team that scored more goals, and won more games won the series. Vancouver did a great job but unfortunately the ones that got them to the President's Cup win were absent in the majority of the Stanley Cup Series. The twins and their goalie simply did not play up to their potential. Boston had a lot to their advantage...more experienced Stanley Cup players, more even lines between their first line and fourth line, more emotionally involved in the games. One thing to think about Vancouver fans, back when Calgary first went to the Stanley Cup, they lost to Montreal and Calgary was the President's Cup winners. The very next year the came back and won in their second appearance in their second visit in two years against Montreal again. You learn from your mistakes and the only way you get better is by learning by your mistakes from experience. I seriously hope they have better luck and come ready for next year. Personally I did not understand the fans of Vancouver booing Bettman, he didn't win the cup for Boston. Then to throw garbage at the Bruins as they are celebrating with the cup, that is a first in the NHL history. Not something to be proud of. You are seldom judge by how graceful of a winner you are, but how graceful of a loser you are. But once again, better luck next year. Finally, Congrats again to the 2011 Stanley Cup Champs!!!!! Exactly If the players and fans want it, really what say do you have in it? I don't know how you can compare football to hockey though, in a sixty minute game the ball is in play is 11 minutes out of 60. So split that between the offense and defense and you have 5 1/2 minutes per player and then take out kicking probably brings it down to 5 minutes out of sixty in a game. In hockey there the average player plays between 15-20 minutes out of a 60 minute game. This does not include not doing anything but does include skating for the full shift. I think you would have been better off with comparing hockey to water polo in this case. Are we going to lobby to take punching out of boxing next?

As Rodney Dangerfield once said, " The other night a I went to a boxing match and a hockey game broke out" Okay, from a hockey players perspective I think I will try to explain it I personally can not think of any other sport that involves the skill, the speed, the pace, the equipment, and the talent in a small enclosed space. Generally hockey strategy involves matching up player versus player. This happens at a high pace and can lead to emotions rising higher and higher. Sometimes these emotions rise up to a level that a cheap shot is taken and then the other side retaliates. Usually in a fight. Fighting in the last 10-15 years has been banned from 'minor hockey' It is still part of all professional and semi professional, junior and in a lot of cases major minor hockey. It has always been part of the game to fans, coaches, players and me Cheap shots have been addressed for a while now, that is why there is less fighting than a while ago. When I grew up playing hockey, there was fighting, but obviously with the different level of skill and size of kids growing up, I am generally in agreement of the evolution of no fighting in minor hockey. Also, in any level, a errant punch to an official at any level would result in major suspensions up to a year and fines against the player, the coach and the team. To focus in on the fighting aspect alone in hockey is like focusing on tripping in soccer, clipping in football (I don't play water polo, but from what I read your nuts are fair game for what the ref doesn't see). It is part of the game and hopefully always will be. The example of tripping and clipping are two examples of serious penalties that can cause serious injury but I don't hear you calling for the total elimination of them from their sports. Fighting is part of the game and there are consequences for doing so. It is not condoned and there is a series of progressive discipline that is used. Every sport has it's nasty side, just in hockey it is fighting.
