  1. So I will weigh in now with my Rose Coloured Glasses CJ, you know I have always enjoyed your writing and have been a fan since I discovered you way back when you were posting FTL in eFiction. You know that I hold you in the same regard as my most favourite authors, Shadowgod, Viv, Mike Arram, dkstories, Don Hanratty, Graeme, and others. What I hold you in highest regard though is that I place you in the highest regard for your style of writing. To put you up against a writer that focuses more on emotion, plot development, character interaction, scene description, climaxes, etc. wouldn't be fair. I think you would agree that there is no one that is perfect in all the merits of literature. To try to do so would be setting yourself up for failure. I know what you are doing...you are second guessing yourself. STOP!! Not going to help you, not going to help the story, not going to help your readers (aka fans) not going to help anyone. CJ, you write stories that we all like. I have to admit that I have really been surprised at the number of new people have signed up for the sole purpose to join in your forum. People who may have read before, but felt the need to take the time and effort to fill out some details so they can post how much enjoyment that you give them. Now is that what people do when you are 'average', or below the par? I have myself posted less in your forums, but still review them every chance I get. I read every chapter. I think my bosses would like to have a word or two with you about why I sometimes come in half asleep on a Tuesday morning because I noticed you posted a chapter at midnight my time on a Monday night. Life sometimes takes us in a different direction which we can not and should not change. In my case, new job, new city, new life. You had something similar happen with your bout with pneumonia. You can't change that. You have done your best to get back to your regular self and frankly we would have never known if you hadn't told us. Okay, now that your head is probably swollen to twice its normal size (and we know how big that is), here is my advice. Remember I'm a fan, friend and not an author. Hold the course. You are doing a fabulous job. We all come back for more and more so let that be your guide. Don't let the questions that bug all of us about our self esteem let you deter your course. I guess an analogy may be in order What would have happened if Trevor had given up and decided not to continue for Australia? Would he have met Shane? Would he have survived the Southern Ocean? Would he have survived the pirates? Would the trees have survived him constantly walking into them ? Keep doing what you do best. Writing :hug;
  2. :music: Happy Birthday Drew :music: Hope it is a great day for you!!! Pop in and say Hi once in a while
  3. Done. I usually take these with a grain of salt. I searched Snopes.com and did not find it listed. Wiki has a extensive article about the bill which died when Parliament stopped on May 11, 2011. Although this meant it had to go through processes when Parliament starts again from it's beginning form. I guess the only unusual thing I came across was that I believed that Uganda was primarily a Muslim nation but all references indicate that the bill was started and being promoted by Christian organizations. Kind of strange  Either way, I am happy to add my name if it could make a difference.
  4. You guys are bad So, I was never interested in the books or movies, then I was beaten over the head with a wet noodle to beta read a story for Krista. Acceptance of Fate I actually liked . So much so I had to go watch the movies to compare. I do think Krista has done an amazingly well job of this fanfic.
  5. :music: Happy Birthday Bondy :music: I tried to deposit your Birthday (Blackmail) Cheque into the Caymen Island's account, but they said it had been closed Hopefully your birthday finds you happy and well with someone all tied wrapped up for you :hug; Enjoy!!!
  6. :music: Happy Birthday Cia :music: I hope your day was great!!! If I know you, what would make it special is just to be around the family So a very Happy Birthday to the best looking Admin in the group of ya Enjoy!!!
  7. Any truth to the rumours that one chapter coming up is called "Death on the Kookaburra" ?
  8. Okay, i have marked my Tuesdays till Tuesday April 24, 2012. Do you think you will be done by then? I seem to remember having a conversation with you before the first chapter appeared you were planning a story between 25 - 30 chapters Just with Bondwriter's Zeta reading fees, I'm curious how you are paying him and the rest of your team. Not that I'm complaining, I've enjoyed every word so far
  9. LMAO Maybe talk to Matt about it before you buy one
  10. So there has been some discussion in the background..... It appears that CJ went in on April 1st and changed not only Talonrider's signature but mine as well. When neither of us noticed by the end of June he decided he would point it out to us and claim that I did it and changed mine to deflect attention to me Except the willy goat screwed up, I do not have any capabilities to change CJ's or Talonrider's signature. Only CJ does So beware all. He is sneaky , he is devious , and he is definitely no .
  11. :music: HAPPY BIRTHDAY MIKE :music: I hope you have a super Birthday
  12. This may shock you all...........but CJ is the King of Evil Cliffhangers. Period
  13. Unfortunately the goat is very very very well hidden. At one point of time, CJ had upset so many readers including his own team that we employed the services of his Zeta reader Bondwriter. We'll just say that Bondy has a dark side to him and that even if Sanchez was real, he would shiver at the name being mentioned. Bondwriter dispatched some of his best men and women to the northern Arizona mountains and did an extensive search only to come up empty handed. As far as the two bits, we took up a collection and think we got up to $7.42 with an IOU to Bondwriter for the other 10 million. Still no luck Thanks for the chapter CJ, that title has many interpretations. Could be Trevor taking command of the Kook, could be Mr. Blake taking command, could be someone high up in the Coast Guard taking command of hiding Trevor. So many possibilities. I guess we will have to wait for Tuesday
  14. Or it could be something quite innocuous... maybe Dirk sends someone in to reopen the Chandlery for business? Well, a nuclear blast kinda has a ginourmous flash much like how the sun explodes repeatedly to produce light and heat, so maybe the two could be equated as being sunshine. And yes, there were lots of bunnies in the Australian outback, cooked or vapourized bunnies, but there were some before the explosion. And the job interview is a great idea, wonder what it would be like be interviewed by Dirk in drag
  15. Count me in, but I get dibs on Viv's couch
  16. :music: Happy Birthday Sara :music: First, a promising author, now a Birthday. What a great weekend Hope you enjoy your day and all the best over the next year
  17. No, Sadly in this case, all the members were the same person, CJ
  18. I do believe it was CJ that coined the term 'Evil Cliffhanger' It was him that tried unsuccessfully to label a brilliant young author who wrote about his passions of the heart, motorbikes, relationships and bagels. Unfortunately the relentless torture of the unsaid one, drove him away and his fans have still lit a candle for him every night to find his way home Like in so many other cases, CJ has been first to strike first with a name (Evil Cliffhanger) to try to deflect him being labelled with it first. Sad so very sad
  19. hmmmm, you seem to know a lot about Florida law....specifically in 2006. I am beginning to think all the accusations against Robbie are ploys to detract us from the fact that YOU are the one responsible for all the troubles befalling Trevor, Dirk and the rest of the cast
  20. I don't think this is a 'if you do this, I might do that' kind of thing. I think I will have to report this to the Lead of the Writer Support Team to investigate :businesssmiley:
  21. Wow, what a great chapter. The wait made it even better IMHO. Thanks CJ So before everyone jumps on board with Shane giving conflicting messages, remember CJ has stated that characters can lie, the narrator can't. So even though Shane said he is not gay, he could be lying. Actually, I think Shane's mate was more than a mate. Shane just probably doesn't want to reveal his sexuality to Trevor because he has fallen for him hard, in more ways than one The problem being, just like his mate, Trevor is going to be leaving in Shane's mind. Considering what we know Shane has been through, is it unreasonable to believe that Shane doesn't want to love someone because he always loses the people he does love? As far as the search for the Ares, I will chuckle when Trevor learns he has been chartering it for the past week. I figure if Nate is great as he is made out to be, he could turn a Lagoon 55 into a 56. Maybe planning the same for Atlantis. Since he has to redo the hulls of Atlantis, I imagine the light bulb will go off in Trevor's head when Nate proposes making Atlantis into the more updated 56. That is my theory and I'm sticking to it Which would mean Mrs. Blake could well be Rachael. Or they at least bought Ares from her. I imagine the customs agents are about to get a call from a supervisor they have never heard of from down in Perth. Sneaky Klein. Just saying..... Thanks for the chapter CJ
  22. Okay, I have a question, I waited till now to ask it So Shane seems to be writing the story of Trevor's entire journey. They have gone over everything to date so far. Since CJ is telling us the story, could that mean that he actually stole Shane's story from his yet unpublished book Me thinks the goat may be dabbling in plagiarism I think we need a impartial moderator to adjudicate on this charge. Anyone want to name an impartial moderator? Just saying.......
  23. Hey, we used to have WHSmith's all over the place in Canada. Well you are right, if you are working, you can not approach or apprehend anyone unless you see them yourself. You can just try to make the shoplifter uncomfortable enough that they ditch the product and leave. If you did based on someone's word, you would be setting yourself up for false arrest if they had ditched it from when the person saw them till when they told you. A few year's back I was walking in a large mall and one store had racks just outside the front entrance of the store when two teens started looking and lifted a shirt and pants combo worth a couple of hundred bucks off the rack. I yelled in the store to a clerk that he just got robbed and started after the two who started running. The one with the clothes ditched the clothes by a bench and they ran out an emergency exit. Would I do it again, maybe. Was I stupid at the time, yes. I had my 9 and 6 y/o godkids with me and what would have happened if they stopped and started to fight? Stupid sadly on my part
  24. :music: Happy Birthday to You :music: :music: Happy Birthday To YOU :music: :music: Happy Birthday Dear Vivian :music: :music: HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU It's not to often that I sing to someone, so consider yourself lucky. BTW, you are looking GREAT for 24
