  1. Hmmm, so that is how we are going to play, eh? I usually do this in private, but I thing on this occasion, I thing I will bring this think up Honestly I thing I have nothing but respect for CJ and his team, but this think just can't go unmentioned. I don't blame the team, like me, they don't speak goat. Heck, I don't thing anyone speaks goat. So that think he misspelled could easily be missed by anyone but another goat I will comment more about the chapter as there is lots of thinks to discuss. I thing I will wait to see CJ's response first
  2. :music: Happy Birthday Nick :music: I hope you had a great birthday man Don't be such a stranger
  3. CNN Link My thoughts go out to all the people in New Zealand especially in the Christchurch area. Not sure if any of our members live in that area, but hopefully they are safe.
  4. Good Thing you are not gay then OMG too funny I take it tuesday nights are NOT a watch TV together night I have to admit, like Benji, I didn't watch at first. The concept reminded me of a show that I have mostly wiped from my memory about a police department that sang musicals (shudders). Then I happened to catch a show and then I was hooked. Trevor, if you want to talk Glee, I will talk anytime with you in chat. It will be 2 against 1, so we shall prevail
  5. Any chance of renaming it "Double Buff" And I mean as in Joel and Lisa of course
  6. :music: Happy Birthday Tiff :music: Hopefully life gives you a break today to stop and smell the roses Have a great day
  7. In a moment you can forget a lot Memories, actions, consequences Waking after, to complete chaos A new life and a death of another Another to be questioned forever more In a moment lives can change What was expected is no longer there Looking in a mirror will never be the same Months of struggles all for change Change unexpected and unwanted In a moment more changes happen A plan is thrown away and another drafted Always adapting, always different Gone are days
  8. Sometimes we have to pause to see the moments of our lives Words that should be so easy to say are often left unsaid.
  9. :music: Happy Birthday Curti :music: (belated ) I hope it was a great day to start off a awesome year

    Back

Welcome back John It was great to chat with you last night in chat. Just remember that you have Mattie's and mine 'shopping list' to do to Jack in Montreal What golf cart ? I need a golf cart!!! I want a golf cart
  11. You scare me Bee
  12. I don't think the Speedo's will give anything away about Trevor. Maybe an Australian can correct me if I'm wrong, but Speedo's are quite common there much like in Europe and South America. It seems like us North Americans are the only prudes (and no, I'm NOT gonna pose in a speedo ) I can see things starting to go in the good guys favour soon. Once Gonzales and Harry figure out that the guest house is bugged, which will probably be quick, they may find out about the attempt on Trevor's life about to happen. Then they will alert our ever present Coast Guard peoples and if they have an equivalent of the RCMP in Australia, they will intercept Sanchez's hit man (unless it is Bondwriter, then Trevor is f**ked ). Finally somehow Joel and Lisa will hear about Trevor's premature but false demise and talk about it and fake mourn him letting George and Bridget thinking that Sanchez had completed the deed. CJ, do you mean take a few inches off of Trevor AFTER Shane lengthens Trevor's neck for him. Kind of defeats the purpose of what Shane wants to do Loved the chapter CJ, thanks
  13. That was the first thing that I thought of too Everything else I think I have pondered and believe might be true. If she remarried then she could easily be Mrs. Blake. Maybe why she has Shane aboard the Kookaburra as he may remind her of what she left behind in Florida. The only question is since Dirk and Rachel only filed for divorce, would she be guilty of polygamy in Australia? Do they have laws against multiple marriages down under? Maybe Rachel might soon be on the run with Trevor if this is true . Interesting ideas though Emoe
  14. Saw this article and got a chuckle. Just so you know, I equally love my American neighbo(u)rs

    General update

I'm with Nephy here. You now have the opportunity to go look for another job without the stress of knowing you 'need' to find another job. As long as they don't ask you to can a bunch of employees again or do something unethical you should be safe to continue and look for other employment on the side. As a side note, you mentioned that they have asked you to do some things that may even be illegal from the tone of your previous jobs. If this is the case, do you not have Labour Relations Boards that oversee employment standards for non union jobs in the UK. A note to them even though you were involved can sometimes work out in your favour. I guess congrats on thee promotion isn't really applicable, but glad to hear you are okay with a little less stress in your life.
  17. Oh my I know I'm but French Canadian is back . We may have to start a topic telling you how much we missed ya
  18. Bee what did I misspell? The word Cliffhanger is synonymous with the name CJames and is accepted spelling here at GA Just the other day I was in a conversation and I said, "Dang, I hate chapters that end in evil CJames'" Now on a more serious note, I mistakenly quoted chapter 42, Kaboom as the biggest CJames cliffhanger of the year. Although Kaboom may rank up there Chapter 48, The Hand of Fate is the one that compared with the missile being fired in Changing Lanes. My apologies to all
  19. Just a reminder to everyone that the GA Reader's Choice Awards are out and C James is nominated in several categories including King of Evil Cliffhangers. I won't publicly state who I'm voting for in that category, as that would be unfair of me to influence others I would like to point out some facts though: CJ took a year off from posting cliffhangers and came back with numerous nail biting, time distorting, evil cliffhangers this past year. Chapter 42 of Circumnavigation is right up there with the missile chapter in Changing Lanes. Six people voted to not to vote for CJ for the King in an attempt to post a chapter early. A chapter that in fact did nothing to stop the dizzying effects of the cliffhanger of Chapter 48 (and no, finding out if Joel proposes to Lisa was not the cliffhanger ) So CJ is technically able to be voted by you six people. legal note: This was decided by an independent vote of 3 impartial people who all are members of GA which included a moderator, a member and a lurker CJ is indeed eligible for the title again as the rules say that no one author can be voted king/queen for more than two years in a row. Mark Arbour won last year, so that broke the streak for CJ and makes him eligible once again. Just go back and read any of the chapters of Circumnavigation and try to argue there isn't a small cliffhanger in each one to a degree. So with that, I encourage you all go to the instructions for the voting and PM or email Talonrider with your vote. Use your conscience and don't let yourself be intimidated by any four legged, sunglass wearing, writing goats . This also goes for the other categories other than King of Evil Cliffhangers. Remember not to post your choices in that topic but to email or PM Talonrider. Feel free to share your opinions in this forum though. Thank you for reading this public service announcement
  20. Well, first off thanks for the chapter CJ . Even when you are ill you continue to deliver us our weekly cliffhanger For those of you who haven't read For The Love, I will try to put this in a non spoiler way. We have seen CJ use this kind of character development in the past and I have a funny feeling that he is using it again with Shane. All I will say is that Shane is probably the same as Eric in FTL. He is misunderstood by everyone, has tried to do his best, but because of everyone jumping to unfounded conclusions he has a bad rap presented to us the reader. Like Eric in FTL, I am more than convinced that Shane will end up being the unsung hero of Circumnavigation Poor misunderstood Shane
