I remember a few years back going to Dallas and seeing that a lot of people in a particular gay bar would kiss each others on the lips. This suprised me as my experience before had been hugs, and maybe a peck on the cheek. As my friend introduced me to people they'd pecked me on the lips. I was uncomfortable with this from total strangers. Am I just a prude? I don't see how straight guys would be comfortable with this, but then again, it was with close friends in the study, not strangers.

No, I'm referring to chapter 48 and 50 as the two entries for this year. Since some of us didn't listen to the little on our shoulder and fall victim to his lies, we can rightfully claim chapter 48 as a evil cliffhanger. (BTW, I noticed MikeL hasn't certified 48 or 50 being cliffhanger free). Without the usual 'I would never have anything to do with cliffs' and 'I would never write a cliffhanger' and other such nonsense, why I ask, are you exempt from this years awards?

Cliffhanger!!!!! I see what you are up to Write one chapter with a cliffhanger (chapter 48) then skip a chapter and now make us wait another week until we MAYBE find out Trevor's fate. Evil, Evil Goat So Dirk and Jim in drag, hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Hopefully they look better than when CJ did his drag shows Well Trevor is aboard Atlantis. Which is a good thing right? I wonder if this little tidbit in Chapter 5 might be a clue? Could there be the other EPIRB still mounted on the cockpit roof and was missed by Ali and his band of thugs? Trevor in his exhausted state would maybe not be thinking properly. Maybe some rest and hopefully some water (I wasn't mentioned that Ali took water, just the fuel) and some canned wieners cause Trevor bought a case of them and Ali only threw one can overboard and told the guys to leave the rest on the boat. Which could mean he has 23 cans of wieners to dine on. As far as Ali's engines blowing: So guessing distance and time is not really possible. I'm hoping 18 hours of running before they blow. Then good luck with Ali making it back to Atlantis with a Zodiac. Also, Ali had enough fear to abandon Atlantis as soon as the sun was coming up that I doubt he would try going back to where the left it to sink. Hopefully he gets rescued and then found with all of Atlantis's gear on board. Except this will make things more complicated for Jim and Dirk again if they the police find Ali and report to the police back in Florida Lots to consider, but lets just not forget that is two cliffhangers in 2010 for CJ to be nominated for

I'm just not at all sure what to do with that phrase but it cannot stand I was thinking the same thing. Trevor is much too young (or old ) to be suffering from that
-
Speaking of which.... So Trevor some how escapes the belt and successfully floats to the surface, and finds a drifting log. Even if Ali has destroyed the boat and it is half sunk, what is the one thing that will be on the boat that Ali won't take? Canned Wieners Remember Trevor had bought that case of them in Gibraltar? They would most likely contain pork and that would be a no no for any Muslim, so he would most likely toss them overboard and I would think they would float (some air in each can). Thus Trevor will be saved if he floats on a log and eats wieners all day long

I will agree with you EMoe, chapter 49 does not contain a cliffhanger, unlike 18 which has easily the world's evilest cliffhanger as of yet. Definitely the deciding vote for CJ in this years voting for King of Evil Cliffhangers. When CJ promised a chapter in return for some promises, i had a feeling it wouldn't resolve the cliffhanger at all. I'm glad you all got my message to cross your fingers before you typed your responses to him. Therefore you are legally allowed to continue now on accusing CJ of the cliffhanger that he gave up This chapter had some interesting information on it. First is that Sanchez made contact with associates who made contact with Ali to look for Trevor's transponder. Now if we look at this actual paragraph: No where does it says the man with the binoculars was a Seychelles smuggler who made contact with a Somalian pirates. So we have a couple of scenarios which might bring attention to someone in the area. Could the man with the binoculars actually be law enforcement of some kind? It was mentioned that the Somalia boat was going to fish on some banks that belong to Madagascar that are seldom patrolled. If though they are alerted a Somalian boat is heading to them, they may be intercepted. Next could be that indeed the need for military intervention due to smuggling and pirating may have increased international presence in the area. Who knows may also be receiving Trevor's AIS and trying to hail him with no answer because he isn't on board. I do imagine a dolphin will be coming into the scene. Not sure if it is folklore or not, but always seems that dolphins can tell when someone is in distress and will help instinctively. The other escape route may have to do with simple physics (Ha Ha, like I have any knowledge of physics ) I'm guessing the deeper one goes, the more pressure is being exerted on the object in the water. That is why deep sea divers have the iron helmet and submarines and submersibles all are made of heavy metal. So, the deeper Trevor sinks, and the more pressure on his body not only would the pressure become more and more unbearable, but wouldn't his waist and body be compressed upon itself? Couldn't his waist shrink an inch or two so he could rotate the belt around himself to the quick release is reachable? As far as which way is up, only a bubble or two would be necessary to tell him which way that is. I guess the problem is that it is probably pretty dark down there. Even still if he has his mind still, he can tell which way his mouth is facing if air escapes or water comes in to determine the way to the surface. Last point. at the point of the chapter ending, they hadn't started cutting or butchering Atlantis. They had ripped the nav display, but still structurely Atlantis is safe. If anyone were to approach the boat soon, I would imagine the pirates would jump ship and get out of there and leave a still in tact Atlantis to be found with on one on board. Lots of possibilities, but they all involve a lot of luck.

1. 2. 3. 4. 5. BTW Graeme, I'm in 100% agreement about CJ disrupting the whole site. Even so much so that he has people signing up to post about his recent behavior If I were a Moderator , I would definitely make him post 49 by tonight or face severe and harsh punishment like tying a weight belt around him and taking him out to the middle of the Indian Ocean and seeing how he fares?

Desert Dropping for me too. But then found Viv, Shadowgod and CJames shortly thereafter
-
Okay, let me get this right.... According to the rules: So I would guess that threatening is much the same as blackmail . So the treat that you will not post early unless you get a bye on this chapter for not being a cliffhanger is in violation of the rules Where is a Mod or Admin when you really need one I think in fairness of the readership, you should post then next chapter and not remove yourself from the title you so rightfully deserve (Please note that this CJ''s personal forum, therefore he is subject to this ) Now if that doesn't work on you Mr. Goat, then how bout one person say that they won't vote for you as the King of Evil Cliffhangers and the rest of us just not say if we will or won't. Then the majority (all one of them) will have spoken

Circumnavigation 48 : The Hand of Fate

CJ is a cruel, cruel, cruel goat . Not only did I wake up to find no internet on Tuesday morning (obviously the goat's work) but after I read the chapter on my phone, I couldn't respond in the forum (once again, the evil goat's doing). I finally have the internet again (the goat must have finally fell asleep), so I can do my first and foremost thing... Remember everyone, by Talonrider's rules, CJ has now made himself an official candidate for the 2010 King of Evil Cliffhangers Award with this chapter. I'm sure that anyone who read this chapter will definitely agree that he has outdone himself. CJ mentioned in his post that there is clues hidden in the text. I am now going off to research some past chapters as I do think it is plausible for him to save Trevor and the one thing I do remember in the text was the discussion between Trevor, Jan and Eric about how the style of Catamaran that Trevor had was virtually unsinkable due to the design of the two hulls. Off to find more................... Bad bad bad goat -
Today in a meeting the person in the meeting was wearing a purple shirt and had just tied some purple yarn around her wrist. She asked if anyone knew why she was wearing purple and | spoke up and gave the reason why. Two other people did as well but the other 12 didn't. She offerred some yarn to anyone who wanted it. Everyone has a purple yarn braclet now. |n my view she made twelve people aware that wouldn't have been if she hadn't did it

Thanks for the chapter CJ So at least Trevor, Joel and maybe Gonzales are now have serious doubts about Dirk and Jim being involved. Hopefully when the Cocoa Beach cops reveal that George made the call to close in on them that it is another clue for Gonzales to watch the Special Detective. I wonder if this lawyer from Vegas will be making another appearance You know what they say about divorce lawyers......right?one Then you introduced Steve a bit more, the swim team captain. It is funny how a character forms in your mind when you get introduced to him, but for some reason I am picturing Moose from the Archie comic series I know we met him before but just the feeling that i get So much more to discuss so I'll be back

Circumnavigation 46 : Forces in Motion
wildone replied to C James's topic in C James Fan Club's Topics
Great chapter my dear goat Thanks for posting it So three times Officer Gonzales felt that going after Dirk for Arnold's death is a wrong move. Furthermore he wants to find more evidence against Dirk before he recommends going for that charge as well. I think he will soon discover that the dispatch Sergeant is innocent when he see Bridget and George together. Hopefully that night as George is planning a celebratory dinner. It seems the State's DA is really anxious to wrap all 3 cases into one. I wonder if it is an election year in Florida? One other thing with the prosecutors and something the FBI guy said. Florida may have the first right to prosecute due to locations. Is there a statute of limitations on how long Florida retains that right before they lose it? Maybe 7 years Could Dirk be willing to take prosecution from the Bahama's over Florida? I got a chuckle out of the State's DA telling them to order Trevor to take Atlantis back to Egypt. He must be nuts if he has the slightest hope that Trevor would do that and turn over his boat. As far as getting the Seychelles government to seize the boat and arrest Trevor and send him back, wouldn't they need some kind of extradition hearing before doing that? I don't think any of this will fall in with their plans. I think Trevor will be negotiating his boat through the Indian Ocean fairly soon. I just hope he isn't forced to turn off his GPS tracking device as then he will truly be alone out there Things are starting to come together, but I still haven't had an 'Eureka' moment as of yet -
Happy Birthday Chase Hope you had a great birthday. If you didn't get a chance to celebrate today, there is a weekend coming right up Enjoy

Would have been interesting to do a screen capture two and half years ago when Tiger originally posted this. Curious if the numbers come up the same whenever you access the webpage.
