  1. I think it is in a universe where goats can type and write stories and travel around the world first class
  2. I imagine that they will try putting caps on usage up here as well soon. I know for a fact that Bell is limiting download speed for large files, so that's why Youtube is slow for you Mattie. I guess the only good thing is we have pretty strict regulation up here in Canada with the CRTC (Canadian Radio-Television Telecommunications Commission) overseeing things. Generally they are pretty liberal when it comes to the internet and don't allow the providers to have their own way with the customers. They seem to be constantly aware of not being accused of censorship or company driven in their decisions. Bell is in a lot of crap with hearings scheduled as they did not get permission for either the CRTC or their customers to limit speeds of downloads. I have to agree that the best thing to get through this would be competition. Maybe if enough people in NY changed to DSL for the short term it would be a wake up call to Time Warner.
  3. Looks like the paparazzi caught up to CJ trying to catch his plane to La Palma. It also appears his highlights are holding up. Bondwriter, since your in Europe, can I turn over tracking of the goat to you?
  4. Happy 30th Lugh!!! I hope you had a great day, and have lots more throughout the next year
  5. Hey, I've seen fights start on the rink for things said of lesser aggression
  6. Thanks for bringing this up Graeme, it has me grinning ear to ear with the memories . I can still remember vividly where I was (in my dad's truck), how old I was (10) when I asked him about sex. I also remember Dad's shocked look and actually driving up on the sidewalk before he got control of the truck . He told me that I would learn about it more later in the school year as they had already sent home permission slips for the future sex ed talk in school. Unfortunately I was sick the day that they had the meetings with boys separately from the girls. So I guess I had to learn it all second hand from my buddies that did attend . I remember discussing this with my Mom years later, and I made the comment that since Dad didn't have the talk with me maybe I was on my own for figuring things out. Mom was shocked and really didn't make any comment as I'm sure she knew I was gay, but she did not want to discuss it herself. I too commend you for taking this huge step in your life. I imagine your boys will be much more well adjusted in life knowing that even their hero's can be gay . Here's hoping the best, even though you won't need it. Steve
  7. Oh my gosh , I found this forum buried on page 10 of the lounge. All you so called hockey fans should be ashamed of yourselves . So we are weeks away from the playoffs and things are really heating up (which isn't necessarily a good thing when you play on ice). It appears that there is several possibilities for match ups and a lot of great competition for the final eighth spot in both the East and West Conferences. I must say that I am surprised that Montreal is fighting for their lives to retain the eighth spot in the east. After all, I do hold what Cynical, Jack, and Moonwolf as god honest truth . I guess I am surprised that Toronto had a better season than what I expected (mark my words, this is the closest you'll get a compliment from me for the Leafs ). And then there is Ottawa, what the hell happened to them this year ? I have to admit that I find myself a fan without a team . As you know I decided to boycott my Flames for a year until they got rid of a certain unnamed player, and decided to go for my backup team which is the Canucks. Unfortunately they screwed me and lost my support when they decided to take on a has been, washed up, over rated player from T.O. (see above note on my feeling of anything to do with the Leafs ). So, when the unnamed player of the Flames was out for an extended period of time I justified in my mind I could cheer for the Flames until the unnamed one returned. Well he is back and prior to tonight the Flames went two games without a goal and watched the lead as the division leader erode quickly (Note to Darryl Sutter: Isn't this a message to get rid of the bum???). All my Flames jerseys, coats, shirts, and yes socks , are still safely buried in a drawer which hasn't been opened in a while. I guess in one way I'm hoping that you know who gets injured again before and during playoffs. (Does this make me an evil person ). So what do you think about the upcoming playoffs? Will your team be playing in May? Who do you think will be in the final for the West and East? What surprises can you foresee coming this year? Steve
  8. Thanks for posting the link Kevin . When I heard about the upcoming anthology on Day of Silence, I thought oh well, wonder what this is about? Funny thing is that I got a whole new understanding and respect for the event by reading what it meant to different people through their characters and story. I would highly recommend reading this anthology, as for some reason to me it will always be one of the more powerful ones. I also remember attending University where the Gay/Lesbian club put up posters a week before saying such and such day wear jeans to show you support for Gay/Lesbian rights. . How much imagination went into this as the majority of students wore jeans to school every day? It was more of a joke than a event to show support for GLBT communities. At least a Day of Silence is doing something that isn't expected or the message can be ignored once you realize what it means.
  9. I know it is only Monday, but the ever kind Shadowgod has released Chapter 31 on Changing Lanes: Wings of Fire. Strap yourselves in for a wild and crazy chapter . We will also be deciding the best way to roast a goat over the next two weeks I think .
  10. Hmm, interesting title. Could it be the airplane wings, or might it be the in reference to the volcano?
  11. I agree , my truck just clicked over 400,000 kms (approx. 250,000 miles) and I continue to treat it right. So what kind of vehicle are you looking for or planning on getting?
  12. How typical . But afterall, we did vote him the King of Evil Cliffhangers, so I guess he is just living up to the title. Maybe we can send out a signal to Shadowgod to release the title before the expected release date.
  13. *cough cough*

If you were a huge prick in the previous life, if you moved up then you are a sweet rose in this one (See, not every thought has to be in the gutter )
  15. psst....find out how many 'toes' on each of his hooves
  16. Krista is in cohoots with the goat? Like I understand that Graeme has the power of fear holding CJ in line. Bondwriter receives substantial monies from the goat to keep him on his side. But what does Krista have, is it blackmail, or what is the Goat offering Krista to be on his team ? Is Benji, Jan and I the only untainted ones here?
  17. Well, well, well. I decided to employ the paparazzi to track CJ's trip, and was suprised to find it was a family trip that he went on. I just recieved this picture of his family members rushing to try and catch the boat. Looks like he will be having fun. But then again, maybe CJ went in for some highlights done at the salon, and maybe one of these goats is actually him . What do you think?
  18. Well add to that total, we got another 6 inches last night and you combine it with the 7 inches from yesterday, the total is getting ridiculous.
  19. Another great chapter Cliff thanks!! I was surprised when Brian revealed that he is the Scorpion. I'm not quite sure how he fits into that role as of yet, other than maybe he is not to be trusted is what the General has told him. Very interesting name for the cook. I take it when you had to come up with a name for the Scars tattle tale and person that could cook everyone's goose, you chose Mike . (Congrats though on your cameo Mike). I'm beginning to wonder if having Jane around might force Helen out the door. After all the guys seemed to agree with Helen, but were quick to defend her at the same time. I'm sure this is going to come to a head sooner or later. I just wonder which will be the bigger explosion, the volcano or Helen. Have a great vacation CJ, you deserve it as I imagine their isn't too many other goats out there that have to keep up a work schedule of punching out a new chapter every week with cloven hooves , we'll miss ya. Steve
  20. Wow, how many Noreasters do you get a year? We don't get them here since we're in the Norwest . Actually I was surprised when I saw that we have already had 68 inches of snow since the beginning of February which is really unusual for my area of the country. I'll have to check to see if it is some kind of record.
  21. Ugh, we had a blizzard come through yesterday, winds were gusting to 66 MPH. Not nice .
  22. Well I don't know how warm it was down there, but if it got up to 70 in the very near future, I'd be a happy camper.
  23. I'm sure it is not the height, maybe it is the temprature, I wish it was like 80 degrees out
  24. Curiosity got to me . Could any of the Writer Support Team maybe throw out any random number in this thread that may or may not be construed as the numbers of votes between CJames and the next closest competitor for King of Evil Cliffhangers? Then again, maybe the number might be the age of someone they are thinking about, or maybe how many million dollars they would be happy with winning in the lottery? Maybe it will be how many years till they think they can retire comfortably, or the flip side how many years they have been working? So many possibilities to any random number being thrown out there, don't ya think? I'm sure if you put a little by your post, it would absolve you of any question of wrongdoing. After all the goat thinks that is all you have to do. Here, let me throw out my random number....62
  25. Happy Birthday Mattie I hope you and Bailey have a great day!!!
