ROFLMAO I was thinking the same thing . But back to Susan... I find it kind of interesting that some of us don't see her for what she is. A well above average singer who misled all of us who often misjudge a book by the cover. Kind of humbling. Nuff said.

Hockey....everything to do with the coolest game on earth

Wow, four games done now and who would have thunk that what has happened has happened. First off, I was seriously suprised with Montreal's exit after four games. If it's any consolation, I believe that the Habs were taken out by this year's Stanley Cup Champs. I guess the unfortunate thing about Montreal's exit is that the saying that there is four seasons in Montreal; the preseason, the season, the post season and the blame season, is now about to begin. I don't know if I would blame Price, but I would just accept that Boston is the better team and proved it. Second, Vancouver. Wow. I did not think that they would sweep St. Louis. I was really pulling for the Blues last night when they went to overtime. I don't believe that Vancouver has another round in them though. Reason for that is Luongo appears to have a groin injury. Never mind that ghost that hit him last night, which I think he actually agravated his groin when the mystery person hit him and he flopped around like a fish out of water, but he was slow getting up there after. So Sean Avery....I wonder if Tortorella will bench him. I know some like his antics, but I honestly do believe that he was the cause of a lot of stress for his team and Washington. Personally if the Rangers move on, I hope it is without Avery. Enough is enough. Wow to the Anaheim Ducks. I was kind of happy that San Jose managed a win in Anaheim, but I think it is for not. If I were to bet, I would now call for an Anaheim/Boston final. Chicago/Calgary? I know I'm not cheering for any team, but Calgary definitely has shown some grit when it comes to coming back. Calgary hasn't ever won after going down two games, but for some reason I think this may be a different outcome. I think that Chicago's biggest mistake was to dish out the unprecedent (not my words, but the league officials) verbal abuse against Iginla. He is one player you don't want to piss off. A few years ago, Tampa Bay learned very quickly, don't piss off the captain. My bets are on Calgary to win Saturday in Chicago and then again in game six. Well that's about all I have for now. Don't really have too much to say about Detroit other than it was expected. Jersey/Carolina, who knows. Lastly, honestly I feel for the Habs. It is too bad that they had to take on Boston in round one. Steve -
I know I suggested that back way back when. Now I'm wondering if Pvt. Johnson is maybe Brian's secret lover . I wouldn't put it past the goat. Thanks for the chapter CJ, and thanks to Shadowgod for posting More comments later.........

I guess their is always a first time . But make sure you write down in here how your beloved Canucks or in Jack's case, Canadiens, will get there. Mark, I was surprised you didn't go with your Blues , -
Congratulations GA, Myr and all the Owners Who would've thunk that we'd hit the seven thousand mark so quickly. Okay, everybody gather close together for a group hug . Steve

Hockey....everything to do with the coolest game on earth

Okay Hockey Fans, let the quest for Lord Stanley's cup begin . What is more Canadian than hockey then a Canadian Playoff Hockey Pool? The prize is a six month premium membership to GA from moi, and there is no entry fee, so this is not considered gambling or a contest to avoid all the pesky rules and regulations. Here is some basic rules, since I'm creating it, I get to make them and reserve the right to change em as necessary: There will only be one winner, in case of a tie, an unbiased draw will be made from the people with the most posts. All guesses (notice: not the word entries), must appear in this forum by 11:59pm Mountain Standard Time on Thursday April 14, 2009. (This means all teams will already have one team done already.) I will print them off at that time and any entries that have been edited will be disallowed. This is only for fun, so I'm sure there is tons of ways that you can get around these basic rules, but in the spirit of fun, please try to play along . If the winner is already a premium member, then I will make a $45 US donation to GA on your behalf. So here is how it works: Pick the winner of First Round of Playoffs, take note of the rankings, so if you pick the eigth placed team to win the first round over the frist place team, they will then play the highest placed team that wins out of the other 3 series. So hypothetically here is how your entry should look: Frist Round East Winners: #8 Canadians, #2 Capitals, #3 Hurricanes, #5 Flyers First Round West Winners: #1 Sharks, #2 Wings, #6 Blues, #4 Blackhawks Second Round East Winners: #2 Capitals, #5 Flyers (Since #8 would play #2 and #5 would play #3) Second Round West Winners: #6 Blues, #4 Blackhawks (Since #6 would play #1 and #4 would play #2) Eastern Conference Winners: #2 Capitals Western Conference Winners: #6 Blues Stanley Cup Champions: #6 St Louis Blues You will receive 5 points for each correct guess. Why 5, cause I like 5 . So possible highest total is 75 points. Now, here is the rankings and the teams: Eastern Conference: #1 Bruins vs #8 Canadiens #2 Capitals vs #7 Rangers #3 Devils vs #6 Hurricanes #4 Penguins vs #5 Flyers Western Conference: #1 Sharks vs #8 Ducks #2 Wings vs #7 BlueJackets #3 Canucks vs #6 Blues #4 Blackhawks vs #5 Flames So start your guessing............... -

No, get your minds out of the gutter . Lately their has been a lot of advertising in my home province about recycling. I believe when it comes to water/pop/beer/wine bottles and cans, we recycle about 60% of them, meaning 40% are going into the landfill. Here we have a mandatory charge on on recyclable bottles/cans depending on their size when you originally purchase them. The charges run from ten cents per bottle/can up to a quarter. You then receive this money back when you take them to a bottle recycler. From my trips to the States I was shocked, especially at the bars, on how all the bottles and cans are just haphazardly tossed into a garbage can and broken up and then tossed in the dumpster. Bars and restaurants up here recycle all of their beverage containers probably do the economics of the recycling charges. So the question is, at home, are you a tosser?

Great chapter!! Thanks to CJ for writing and thanks to Steve for posting. I guess the General is lucky that the Iranians don't put much attention to such never used items like night vision equipment for their MIGs. Did anyone else worry when Eric took off with Jansen to the airport? Like didn't Helen have to have a meeting with all the guys to arrange for the money? With spotty cell coverage on the island is this going to make the deal not happen? Lastly, what is the collateral that the General was talking about? I don't think the US government is going to 'buy' the nukes from Instinct.

I have often wondered about if you authors had to deal with stalkers. From your experience, I guess the answer is sometimes yes. Actually I have read a story that I do believe I may know the author, or possibly the characters that it is written about but I have always been reluctant to email the author for two reasons. First would be I would be seen as a stalker, and second would be that I'm a complete idiot and don't have a clue what I'm talking about. That being said, here is a question, if someone read your story and thought they knew you, would you be comfortable in anyway if they emailed you and told you that? Is there a right way to do it? I personally don't think there is but curious about your opinion. Second question I have for you is about the type of responses that you as an author like. I know to assume that all authors want the same feedback is about as realistic as saying all authors write the in the same style. I guess when I give feedback, I sometimes like to 'guess' or predict where the story is going, but hopefully don't come across as telling the author what to write. Does this particular type of feedback annoy you, or do you like it or even encourage it?

Hey Viv I thought I'd share this since it came to mind when you mentioned the movie theater. I came across 'Goonies' on TV the other day and this scene immediately came to mind . You can FFWD to 37 second mark to see the part. I wonder what went on in the theater after you left
