  1. So has anyone tried the Wendy's burger on the Brioche bun? I looked at the link in the article to find out what it is, but it just doesn't seem like the type of bun for a burger on it. If nobody has, then I might have to sacrifice myself and go to Wendy's for lunch . Try one of those and a nice serving of Poutine (only in Canada eh? )

    Chapter 21

Yay, a new chapter!!!! You should really let me see these chapters before you post them I like that Corey's dad has felt the wrath of his mommy. Also, like Dirk I am glad that both Corey and Clinton are going to give it a shot of making this work. What I'm really wondering, and is if it is foreshadowing with Clinton saying it probably won't work between them, is with what will happen when CJ returns. Not only is he a bully to Corey all the time but he will now have the fact his family is living in the dump his father owns to add salt to the wounds. Looking forward to the next chapter
  3. Not to derail this topic but to expand it I am talking to my straight gurl friend and we were discussing homophobes. I thought what is the opposite of a homophobia? I propose that we start a new word, like the 'no homo' phrase that popped out of nowhere.... Homofriend What do you think?
  4. Yes, I believe in most countries of the world meat glue or filler or binder is illegal. McDonald's Canada ran a huge ad campaign when it came to light of the US's use of these products saying that all burger's are nothing but 100% Canadian Beef. I guess we just sell it to the US So yes, Google is relevant HH5 if you live in the US. The rest of the world it probably isn't.
  5. Well I will try to explain in my humble opinion.... McDonald's - basically the biggest of all the fast food chains. Probably most likely due to the fact that there is very little in the difference of the menu no matter where you are. If I order a Big Mac in Canada it is going to taste exactly like one in the Texas. Burger King - I would think they are second in the fast food burger chains. i would say that they are a step above McDonald's for their freshness of toppings and larger (maybe they are just squished more ) burgers. I only say a step above due to McDonald's use of shredded lettuce, smaller pickles, diced onions which Burger King gives you less processed toppings. Wendy's - Probably the best of the big 3, but due to their attention to the entire meal, it is more expensive. Trademarked by their square burgers and artisan buns, they are just a step about both the others. They do have a standard menu, but always have a Limited Time Offer specials which people love and sometimes have to wait for up to a year to get them again. Also in North America we have A&W and Dairy Queen as large multinationals as well. Then there is a LOT of chain custom burger places. 5 Guys would be one of these. Going there is equivalent if not better than having a burger in a good restaurant. You have about 40 different toppings to choose from from sauces to vegetables to seasonings. Their fries I don't think anyone can compare to. A large fry, they fill a container and then put it in the paper bag for your order and throw another full scoop of fries in the bag. Personally 2-3 people can eat one order of fries. But...with this comes the cost. In Canada, for two double burgers a large fry and two soda's, you are looking at just under $20 bucks. Personally I think it is worth it but I also couldn't see myself eating there regularly due to the price. it is a nice treat though There is others, Fat Burger comes to mind and a few others that escape my mind right now. Translation: Fries are cut up potatoes either wedges or sticks and deep fried. Not 100% sure but I believe in the UK they are referred to as chips. Now I'm sure everyone has their favourite burger place and may totally disagree with what I have to say. It was always a fight in our house when I wanted McDonald's, older sister wanted Burger King and younger wanted Wendy's
  6. Any discussion of politics even though it is about geography will not be allowed in the Lounge. Doing so will be dealt with by the Forum Moderation Team. Let's all just have fun with this
  7. Westfalia is one in Germany. I only know that because I was born there
  8. I got 18 of 45. Screwed up the Scandinavian countries, Baltic's and Eastern Europe royally
  9. I've only regifted once, and it was on purpose to the person that gave it to me. He gave me a bottle last year of Captain Morgan's Spice Rum, I don't like Spiced Rum. So on his Bday a month later I gave it back to him since he does like it
  10. This has been educational for me
  11. First off, let's tone down the US vs the rest of the world posts. On both sides please I agree with AJ, what is relevant to you may not be to anyone else, so to say that someone is ignorant of something is a little far fetched. Geography especially. Now in the theme of Geography, here is my little bit of Canada, we have 10 provinces and 3 territories, so there is only 12 compared to 50 + 2 in the states or correct me if I'm wrong, 4 countries of the UK (not sure of how many territories the UK still has). So what are the provincial capitals of Canada and have you even heard of them? I even threw in the Capital of Canada as well. 1. Canada A. St. John's 2. British Columbia B. Regina (Yes, sounds like Vagina, not the Ree'geena that a lot of people want to pronounce) 3. Alberta C. Quebec City (If this isn't a given, then there is no hope ) 4. Saskatchewan D. Victoria 5. Manitoba E. Ottawa 6. Ontario F. Edmonton 7. Quebec G. Charlottetown 8. New Brunswick H. Whitehorse 9. Nova Scotia I. Fredericton 10. Prince Edward Island J. Iqaluit 11. Newfoundland K. Toronto 12. Yukon Territory L. Yellowknife 13. Northwest Territories M. Winnipeg 14. Nunavut Territory N. Halifax So how did you do? Interesting, Canada being the 2 largest land mass with it's 13 divisions I'm sure pales in comparison to the largest Country, Russia. Can anyone tell me (as I don't have a clue) how many States/Provinces/etc. that Russia has? I don't even know what they call their divisions in Russia Also, why not add your country specific quiz for your country, all we can do is learn from it!
  12. I do believe it will be 1:00 AM in your timezone May be a late night for you tonight
  13. I think the thing i like most of The House Always Wins had to been the fact that Michael and with the help of JJ think that they are pulling the wool over her eyes. I felt from the beginning, Mother knows all . I'm glad this story got the opportunity to be the CSR Discussion. I read it a while back and might be tempted to read Andr0gene's other stories now

    Honestly?

Sorry to squash this story (punny, eh? ). I don't know of any Canadian teacher, or school that would misspell the word Centre as Center here in Canada..... With it repeated a couple of times it just makes me believe this is a hoax.
  15. :music: Happy Birthday Mikie :music: Hoping your day has been a great one!!! I know there is someone you'd rather be with, but we all are here for your virtual party
  16. I don't believe there is any rules or prude police here that would disallow this topic. Looking at the images, there is no full nudity and it doesn't appear to be underage people in practically nothing. Here is a direct quote from the rules regarding this: So enjoy the bare chested guys
  17. And once again, you don't have an Apple, so you can't check it to see if it does or not. Like I said, the issue is in the past. No need to post just another story you found on the internet about a product that you don't like.
  18. Apple released the iOS7 back near the beginning of September and it obviously corrected the problem which could admittedly be considered an oversight on the suppliers side. Why does this need to be brought up now???
  19. The Canadian Government is doing the same here, matching dollar to dollar. I believe we are approaching the 30 million private donation too. When I heard of it coming and everyday since, I have been thinking of our Filipino members, especially a couple that are more prominent in their appearances. I happen to live in a city where 1 in 12 people are Filipino and talking some they have no word of how their famiilies are doing. I too made my donation. In Canada there is several agencies but I chose the Canadian Red Cross.
  20. :music: Havey Burthday Sharonz :music: I was having a drink or two to wait for you to show up and offer you a couple. Guess I drank it all myself Happy Birthday Sharon
  21. Should we send out a search party for CJ? :?
  22. Sadly Foopy, I was in a store and after two announcements and the vast majority of people stopping and paying their respects for two minutes, one person didn't. I'm very proud of my Grandfather and Great Uncle for their service and what they personally did to liberate Europe after the second world war. My dad served 6 peacekeeping missions to Cyprus and Egypt/Israel and two tours with NATO in Germany. This is a day to reflect on the service of so many who came to the call of their countries. No matter what their ideology or beliefs. Lest we Forget
  23. 21 and backing out a trip to Germany, France and England. Didn't know if I would be out of a job about the same time so decided not to risk it. Just celebrated my 25th year with the same company so I should have went. For 24 years have been regretting not going and always say 'maybe next year'.
