  1. It takes a while for all the drugs they gave you during surgery to get out of your system, plus the ongoing painkillers... it's not surprising you're nauseous. I can't take anything stronger than ibuprofen because it makes me sick. Each day will get better as your body heals and adjusts. Keep in mind, you've been through invasive surgery. You don't recover overnight.
  2. Thanks for the shout-out, Steve Last week was Pride Week here. While I wasn't able to attend any activities, it was nice to see a lot of pictures in my FB feed of friends who attended the parade. I hope Renee feels better soon. And I'm looking forward to the CSR discussion day at the end of the month. "Exit to Redemption" is a short story, so there's plenty of time to read it before the discussion day.
  3. For Gary, to help during his recovery
  4. The pain is understandable. Keep taking it easy and concentrate on healing. You'll be back to yourself in no time.
  5. Is anyone else having issues with their notifications? I keep getting notifications of things from hours ago that I already received notifications for. They're also all in bold like they haven't been read or else gray like they've all been read.
  6. Exactly. And it doesn't change who he is.
  7. I haven't seen it yet. Regardless, I love my Thor no matter what his body type
  8. Same here I don't have a set recipe. I use whatever I have or feel like tossing in the Crock pot lol I like using a variety of ground meat, usually ground beef and bulk sausage. But I've used ground lamb and bison too. The best chili I ever made was with ground bison. I also made a really awesome pumpkin chili once. The usual chili ingredients, plus a can of pumpkin and cinnamon and allspice, clove,ginger.. typical fall spices. I accidentally dropped the cinnamon in there and thought it would be horrible because there was so much in there. OMG it was sooooo gooooood.
  9. No, they're two different things.
  10. I've made chili with cocoa powder. It's very good. Chocolate and chilies are a great combination.
  11. Animals have a way of making everything better Nice job, Cookie. And Gary
  12. Ugh.. sorry about the meds and the haircut. Yay for Celtic Fling! Have a Scotch egg or three for me and I want a full report from the best legs in a kilt contest
  13. *cough cough*fall anthology*cough cough*
  14. I'm not going anywhere myself... just a couple of long weekends. My BFFs son graduates from high school at the end of the month, so I'll go see him graduate and celebrate with her family. I may do a long weekend/wine tour in the Finger Lakes with my mom as a thank you for all the work around my house she's been helping with. My major vacation this year will be a staycation in August. @Cole Matthews and his husband are going to come visit for a week, so I'll show them around the area. We're also planning a night/day in Toronto.
  15. Thanks so much
  16. No, he's definitely not. Pete has his chance. If he screws this up, he deserves whatever he gets. Thanks for reading
  17. This was a lovely surprise to wake up to this morning. Thanks, Cia! This is high praise, since Pete is exactly the kind of character you don't like
  18. Treating people with respect and professionalism creates employees happy with their job, leading to increased productivity. I wish my bosses would learn that lesson. Pete needed Henry to show him the error of his ways. Now it's up to Pete to make sure those lessons stick, and to listen to Henry if he starts to lapse. Thanks for the great comment
