    I'm curious as to how many, after reading the title of the chapter, thought we were heading to the Blakes? About the only thing missing from this chapter was a high speed boat chase.

    I think what he's trying to say here is, WE know that Basingstoke is after Trevor and at this point in the story, Trevor does not know.

    The original plan was to borrow Kookaburra and use it instead of Atlantis to look for Ares. Trevor no longer needs to search for Ares. I'm thinking that if Trevor is to complete his circumnavigation, he'll complete it on Atlantis, the boat he started out on. As far as Trev is concerned, he may own Kookaburra/Ares, but he considers it his mothers boat. Trev may stay in Australia for a while, but at some point he may need to return to Florida to take care of some things. He does after all own and operate a business. Atlantis won't be ready until April. But then again, he could always fly back.

    I think what Rachael offered Shane was an option, he still has a place to call home if he wants it. I think she could see the love Shane has for Trevor just from the way he was taking care of him during this meeting. Martin has seen them together enough to see that they've formed a bond and has probably mentioned it to Rachael. I think Shane will go where Trevor goes. He's already made that commitment.

    We also know why the woman is using the cane. A few chapters back when Trev and Shane encountered the Camel and were talking about the possibility of getting hurt, Shane makes mention of stampeding sheep in a pen.

    Back in the early 70's, I want backpacking with a youth group to the Smokey Mountains. We started the hike on a Sunday afternoon with a short hike to our first campsite. Wednesday was to be our last night out on the trail. Some how, going thru a picnic ground we lost the trail that would take us to our last campsite. It was starting to get dark, so we turned around and went back to the picnic area. Since it was dark, the decision was made to not pitch the tents. That was a mistake. Around mid-night, a drenching rain hit us. We spent the rest of the night just trying to keep warm. Despite that, it was still a fun time.

    First, if I'm correct, Trev's handgun was found because he got sloppy and didn't close it back up when he took the money out of his hiding place. I enjoy watching you guy's go back and forth on your comments. I'd love to comment but the fear of becoming a new feather bed for the goat stops me.

    Since I beta read for CJ, I take my time going thru the chapter so I guess that makes me a pecker, which is good for a bird of prey.
