This is something that most of us are guilty of, including myself. Authors that I edit for, or beta read for, get comments sent back with the chapter. I don't do it enough for authors that I just read. This isn't the first time an author has done something like this. My best advise is, let an author know what you think of their stories/chapters by particpating in their forum, leaving a comment with the story, or sending them a PM or email. When you PM/Email the author, just don't say you like a chapter, let them know why you liked it. If you feel the need to criticise then do it constructively. If you do it right, you may just make yourself a friend. I have an author/friend that we talked about the story enough, if I had a question, he'd challenge me to find the answer and report back to him. A plus to all this is that we've actually met in person twice over the past few years.

Having read it myself, I think you'll find it well worth the time spent reading it. If CJ was to end the story now, I'd see to it that he gets a certain award.

Speaking of cameo's, CJ does like to honor his team periodically by give us a cameo. Graeme was the most recent member to appear. RedA and I both were back in the Suez Canal with Trev.

As of this posting, there has been 93,109 views in total. As one of the team, CJ gets my comments when I send the chapter back to him. Sometimes is short, sometimes it's longer. Sometimes we get a conversation going back and forth, which is why I don't comment too much in the forum. I might say something that I shouldn't. I will also from time to time, say or do something to get things stirred up a bit.

I know what I'll be doing this evening so I'll be sending it back later today or early tomorrow morning..

Wish I could say that, but I've got two chapters to edit for another author.

When I sent the chapter back to CJ, here's some of what I had to say: I think the big question is, will Gray survive the encounter with Trev and Shane. When it comes to a run of bad luck, let's not forget that Jefe is watching what Bridget is doing and could pull her plug at any time.

The car got me to thinking later on and I've already discussed this with CJ and I brought up these points. We know that Bridget bought the car and paid in tainted cash to Joel, that he was going to take with him at Christmas to give Trev. Joel gave Bridget the signed title. Considering what Bridget said she was going to use the car for, I don't think she transferred the title to her name. I don't think a receipt was made out, fortunate for Bridget as that would have linked the tainted money back to her. She didn't even ask for a receipt. So does the car belong to Bridget or Trevor?

It'll be interesting to see if TVLand, MemorableTV (METV), or Antenna TV (ANTTV) dig up some old show she was in as a tribute.

This story definitely took on a life of its own. What was supposed to be 20 to 30 chapters in length is well over 100 chapters. The story will be wrapping up soon and the holder of four "King of Cliffhangers" will be leaving us with another cliffhanger wondering when he will start posting his next story.

Sunday, I read the newest chapter from CJ. When I was finished, I sent it back. I included a note about the comments I left at the end of the chapter. A little while later I receive an email back claiming a CLIFFHANGER. Turned out I had sent the wrong chapter back and he was wanting to see my comments. What happened was when I did a save as I saved it in the Original folder instead of the Beta folder, thus he got the wrong chapter. I thought I'd post this before the goat could so he can't gloat as much about it.

Here in southeast PA last week was cooler with temps in the upper 80's with some days with high humidity. The past weekend was beautiful. I took advantage of Sundays weather to wash and wax the car early, then spent some time outside on the porch beta reading for one of my authors. This weeks forecast so far calls for temps in the 80's.

Lets not forget that some of the safe deposit boxes have already been cleaned out and Bridget had already planned on others getting to some of the other boxes. That could render the asset list useless. It's the stuff about the cartel that remains the most dangerous.

I have some stories that I've converted from .doc and .docx formats to PDF format for my Nook. A couple of them included pictures that copied over just fine, some I had to resize to fit the page.

I get the feeling that there will be another delay in posting this week. I've not seen the next chapter yet.
