I don't think there is a sexual relationship between them. I think they've been friends for a number years. I also believe Dirk will be more excepting of Trev than everyone thinks. As far as Dirk dressing in drag, it was just an opportunity to get out of the apartment.

I have to disagree with you. Who's to say Kline, or any other report, or anyone else for that matter, won't try to get more from Trevor by listening in or even trying to locate him.

There's one other activity you forgot to mention.

I've noticed on occasion, that a reader(s) will be come fixated on something that may, or may not, have any bearing at a point in a story. Case in point, at my site, The Talon House, there is a member who is fixated on a group call Fazetti. They've been mentioned a couple of times in Book 2 of T.S.O.I. Are they important to the story? Maybe, maybe not. It's the same with the Key Lime Pie. Is the maker of the Pie important to the story? Maybe, maybe not. There's the possibility that the recipe was obtained online.

Speaking from an area that doesn't need the rain, a Mid-Atlantic state, it's a shame Lee didn't turn and head to Texas. Granted the winds would have been bad, but the rain could have helped.

Since I'm one of the beta readers for the team, CJ and I have talked a little via email and here's what I told him. I’d have to say at this point in time, there’s not much you can do about what’s already been posted. The time to make changes to it is, if you were to decide to epublish it. You can take what you’re learning and apply it to future chapters and stories to be written. No matter what you do, you’re not going to satisfy everyone. Case in point, with TSOI, in book 2, part 3 there was a chapter involving the gladiators (Gahdar) putting on a show for the Emperor’s birthday celebration. One reader who participates in the discussion at The House didn’t see it as advancing the story. It actually tied into an earlier Interlude chapter involving the Gahdar. It helped explain a maneuver used. Another example, there are several unanswered questions throughout the story. From Book 1, we have the question, what happened that caused the stasis chambers the Icarians were in to open after 2500 years instead of the programmed 100 years. That question finally gets answered in Book 2, Interlude the Seventh – Silver. Three of us has stepped up to remind that member of the purpose of the Interludes. They bring us information that pertain to the story, but don’t really have a place within any particular chapter.

I resemble that remark.

If you've ever noticed, when it comes to CJ's stories, none of the younger protagonists have died. Sure, they've been injured. It's usually the antagonists that end up dead.

It looks like I won't be able to sit the storm out at home. The Administrator wants all Department Heads in Saturday afternoon. The facility sits high ground so rain won't be much of an issue. But we are prone to lightening strikes and the electric goes out often. With the two fairly new generators, power shouldn't be to much of a problem.

I about 35 miles outside of Philly so I'm probably at the border between hurricane and tropical force winds. I think our biggest danger will be from the winds as August has been the wettest in history. So we'll probably see lots of trees go down since the ground is so saturated.

I was born and grew up in Indiana. I remember back in the 60's, I was watching some Saturday morning cartoons and the house started shaking. I thought it was the washing machine out of balance as my mom did laundry on that day. I found out later, there had been an earthquake in Louisiana and that's what shook the house.

The title to the next chapter isn't a cliffhanger to me. I know what it is.

Glad to see your safe Ricky. I didn't know anything about it until I was on the way home an hour later. I heard about it on the radio when it was mentioned that the Philly airport was closed for a very short time due to an earthquake, but they didn't mention where it occurred.

We all know he likes to miss, or not completely, quote us.

I used to have a My Space account. I got rid of it. I was tired of getting friend requests from people I didn't know. I think all they were after was to see how many 'friends' they could collect.

I heard this in the news this morning that on November 5th, a group is planning to hack FB and no one will be safe. It was also said that even if you delete your account, it won't help Now I guess the question is, will it happen or is this just an attempt to scare people?
