Chapter 1: An Unexpected Christmas Surprise
pvtguy commented on Bill W's story chapter in Chapter 1: An Unexpected Christmas Surprise
Beautiful yet happy/sad story! When one is given a terminal diagnosis, it certainly can bring into focus the meaning of one's life. I was given a potential terminal diagnosis 30 years ago that I might have 2 years left. As a single parent of a teenager, I had to make all sorts of plans, including my funeral. Well, that diagnosis, obviously, was incorrect, but it certainly has shaped my view of life and taken the denial of death away. Eric's life was short, but very full of love. I do hope Gavin and Danny might consider providing a home for another child in need. There are many teens who need a stable home - and many of them are gay or deemed "unadoptable" for various reasons. I am past the acceptable age to provide such service to these deserving kids. But I would hope there might be some out there for whom this story serves as the impetus to reach out and share love for those who really need it!- 28 comments

Chapter 1 - The Giving Trees
pvtguy commented on Bill W's story chapter in Chapter 1 - The Giving Trees
This idea has been happening here in Orlando for many years. I have participated in buying gifts and thoroughly enjoyed it. I have friends who collected all the leftover tags on the "Angel Tree" at a local school and bought gifts for all those children too! Thanks for writing this story! It reminds me of my childhood when Santa was busy visiting other places than our home. Thankfully, we always had a nice dinner at our grandparents' house.- 26 comments

So glad to have you back and posting another wonderful and warm chapter! Love is certainly a core value for all their ventures - love of what they do, but especially love of and for all the people in their lives!
-
Good for Colin. That it took a burst of anger to do it isn't so bad - they actually had a lot more coming to them!
-
Well done, @Libby Drew! Lots of tension to give us an elevated heart rate until next chapter!
-
I hope the inspiration of having Owain stay overnight might propel Colin to stand up to his mother! It might not happen with this visit, but I hope soon!

Chapter 166 Easy Come, Easy Go
pvtguy commented on Dodger's story chapter in Chapter 166 Easy Come, Easy Go
So enjoyed this chapter: We got some insight into Mr. Lube - who really seems likeable. The talk with Stephanie has given her something to think about (I hope!), and then the final scene with Rory leaves me hoping! Can't wait to see what happens with Don! -
Mhairi has changed a little, but this issue will force her to look at her attitudes when it blows up with Joe - and it will! It is not easy for all to dispose of the past nonsense and replace it with enlightened attitudes.
-
Owain is bringing out some good qualities in Colin! Great to see that happening...now, for a blow-up with his mother and brother!

This is an extremely well-written story of a teen who has experienced severe emotional neglect but through a series of events is able to finally come out on a positive end of a tumultuous journey. This story is very compelling and a solid read!

I am so impressed with the insight and ability to describe the angst of a teen that is so evident in your writing! I was so eager to read each chapter that I have to admit to reading it on another site. However, that is more to my impatience than the manner of posting here. Looking for more quality work from you @Ronyx!!!

Hmmm....Colin is maturing emotionally at a very nice pace! I do believe his family is in for some long-needed confrontation!

Micco has turned introvertishness into isolation. I hope this encounter with Chase will help break him out his very thick shell. He certainly does have the "poor me" attitude, but with the assurance of Burke and the constant concern of Billie, it's time to move forward.

It is so refreshing for me to read about adults coming to terms with themselves. I couldn't even admit to myself what I knew to be the truth till in my mid-40's! Oh well...I've enjoyed life since too!

I think it's time for Colin's testicles to descend and his mouth to say what needs to be said to all!
-
Why did Micco cut off his communication with the animals? It just seems to prolong the mystery. I love all these different threads and look forward to the coming chapters where they will come together. Love your writing!
-
Will this ever stop? Not when people think of others as non-humans or lesser than....the us vs. them where we are always right and they are always wrong. Love this poem and the hope it inspires.
-
It's just the opposite with me: I am the eldest of three children, the youngest with multiple handicaps. I am the one who became caretaker to all. I am still looking after the youngest, though now in a nursing home for the past few months and will be going forward. I am enjoying the progress of this story. As to the confusion mentioned by @Clancy59, in my mind, this takes a slight step back in time to bring us up to a concurrent time with Owain.
-
Beautiful! It is indeed the full maturation of a relationship when each can see beyond the physical and experience the spiritual presence of another.
-
Micco's heart rate might have slowed, but mine has not throughout this whole chapter! Wow - what writing skill you have! What or who will Micco find? Great chapter!

I just started this wonderful story! Rather than repeat or restate what has already been said above, I will say that I am now intrigued to read your other stories! Wonderful writing.

As with all true mystery of existence, words point a way, but are not the end or definition in themselves. Words are by nature limited - but can point to that which is not limited. That said, you have used the power of your words to lead us into the sublime. Well done!
-
As expected, a very well written chapter full of information that I know i didn't know before this! I'm still wondering what the purpose of the skinwalker will be in the daily life of Devin and Mac. Devin did change in to animals at school but also into other human beings.

Several issues converge to make Evan rethink his life's view. Religion plays a major part but the questioning of faith is a necessary step to clarifying one's personal beliefs. This short story is a powerful presentation.
