Midst the seriousness of it all, I am glad Herbert interjected some humor. They needed it!

Some days, I am just over teenage drama, but I will admit, you have quite the skill in describing it to the point that the reader can feel it! I do believe that Seth is in for some tougher times.

What a fascinating reunion. Some walls were demolished, but lots of questions remain for Sebastian. Maybe he will now allow himself to settle down and be more comfortable with who he is. He is very much like his father.

Again, what intrusive questioning when it seems all that would be needed to affirm the reasons for the divorce is to have a statement from Joe.

All I can say is "Wow!" Seth is so naive that he doesn't even realize that he was used. I won't say 'raped' even though one might say you can't rape the willing. However, Craig has some serious problems. Seth still has to deal with his family. Oh what a web!

In this continuation of stories of Ravello, young teens experience the growth of friendship through the drama that defines young adolescence. This story is filled with adventure, emotion, intrigue, mystery and beautiful writing which brings the reader directly into the life of residents of this wonderful village. This is a wonderful addition and continuation of this series.

To be honest, I wasn't sure I would enjoy a story featuring 14-year olds, but the fact that it was another Ravello story kept me moving through each chapter, and then I was hooked! As usual, a great write! The mix of intrigue, angst, mystery and simple beauty is done so well. My grandparents came from San Giovanni in Fiore, Calabria. They settled in West Virginia which they always said reminded them of home with the hills and valleys. Indeed, looking at these pictures lets me know what they said. I don't know if I'll ever be able to visit Ravello, not for lack of wanting - just lack of the necessary funds to do so. Still, you have provided me with many vicarious visits through your stories for which I am very grateful. Thank you once again for providing your readers with a quality, well-crafted and intriguing story. Tony

Even growing up in a small town where I was pretty much limited to my own neighborhood, I felt alone many times as I didn't have the money to do the things the neighborhood kids did. So, because I am more introvert than extrovert, I spent hours upon hours reading...a trait I still practice. I'm intrigued by the twist with Giaco. I do hope he is trying to help Cosmo exit the Neri web.

He turned his attention back to the rug, adding in a mumble, “I guess I did what Mamma couldn’t.” I took this to mean that Giaco took care of his mother when she wasn't able to do so, This chapter is so telling of the depth of Giaco and why he avoided anything requiring truly exposing himself until he felt so comfortable and accepted by Dani. As a reader of this series to date, I love the depth shown here.

Ella is so self-assured! I'm still in disbelief at how vivid the interrogation was in the courtroom. It's as though Joe's inability to perform was due to Ella's inadequacies.

Sebastian is so imprisoned by his fear of being himself that he doesn't realize that he is the "they" governing his tragedy.

Seth is in a really precarious position: perhaps his mother might just think of him as being the one responsible to look after Stacy by taking her everywhere she wants to go, not thinking of how Stacy is viewing it. That is a hopeful way of viewing her, even if I don't fully believe it. This behavior has led Seth to believe he is not equal in acceptance. If mother put more time into parenting both of her children, Seth might feel supported and able to be himself. He's going to have to say something before he is raped by Craig or more problems will occur. Craig needs to be neutered!

Ah, the difference a half-century makes. This type of questioning to the degree would not have been attempted in the 70's or after. Actually, I'm not really sure when the judicial system changed in reference to divorce/annulments. Normally, it would seem that if both parties stipulated to the statement of non-consummation of a marriage, then there would be no need to go into such detail.

You're the author and know the mind of Devin better, but I don't think he feels one bit bad about being deceitful to acomplish his goal of breaking up a friendship. They didn't even speak to the RA's and give that a chance. I'm a bit less respectful of him right now.

There is a certain peace that comes with viewing the ocean (or any body of water for that matter). It seems to have calmed down both of them at least for the moment. That break can bring about clearer thinking...hopefully, it will!

Perhaps we, today, are so used to divorce that we forget (or never knew) how difficult it was in the first part of the last century. Women didn't gain some major rights until the 1970's (credit cards in their own names!) - and still don't have equal rights in all things - ex: pay, access to top jobs). I love the perspective of this story through a younger woman who is showing more independence. Great writing.

More angst woven into Seth's life! How long until he is 'forced' to come out? Great writing! You've got this teen thing down pat!

Too bad we can't find a way to transport water like we do oil to the areas that need it!

It just keeps getting warmer here in Florida! We're already hitting the mid-80's to the mid-90's and the humidity is starting to rise! I do like warmer weather, but I am looking forward to getting some rain too! It's been exceptionally dry in Orlando.

This was the norm for me too in my profession....too bad this ethic is not as present in many of our younger people today. Actually, guess it was never the norm for everyone in our age group either, lol!

Oh the hormones and confusion of the teen years. What we were convinced was true - which it was for the time - changes almost as quickly as we do in the following years. I have loved every installment of this series and look forward to this one too!

How wonderful - the beginning of another Ravello story and seeing what happens between Danele and Giacomo.
