    As I've said this story arc was meant for something else, and while I decided to include Connor and Hugh in this book, I did not include the entire arc. You're right about the earth mother: she must have something to do with the timing of his healings. In my opinion, she has been nurturing this special race for millennia, and it must have been disappointing when they closed ranks and gave up on finding mates. She holds no grudges though, and she has given shifters Tobyn and Kellar to get them back on track. Cheers!

    I know what you mean. I don't even try to reply until the glitch passes. The Hugh/Connor chapters make me happy. I just reread this one, and was right back into their dilemma. I don't usually change plans, but I did in this case. This was never meant to be in this book... it was for a potential Book Two, but I am so glad I included it here. When I reread, every chapter seems like the first time for me. Cheers and thanks, buddy.

    A single weed can have beauty, but when they mass it can be ugly, with the community soil given over to this torrent of bitter anger. Hatred feeds on hatred, and that is where the world finds itself. A garden that cannot be tended with the goal of the better good. Absolutely wonderful sonnet, Parker.     I had the vet come out to check my mare. She has a scratched cornea. Two hundred dollars to find out I'm doing everything right. It was worth it for peace of mind. When the ointment I was using runs out, I switch to eye drops because she had no ointment. Six times a day I have to put the drops in her eye. All by myself... sigh.... She hates me fiddling with her eye and tries to keep it squeezed shut.

    Instead of a piping bag, why didn't he just spread it. Easier to clean a spreader than a piping bag and nozzle. Personally, I would rather have buttered toast and a cup of tea than something with Nutella on it. Hey, Tinkerbell.

    Wasn't their reunion just the best? It makes me tear up too. And yeah, I say Tilly and Logan's first meeting as something completely different. Tilly and her quirks are something I truly love in this story. You are welcome, sir. Thank you for your support!

    Thanks, northie. I was just wondering. I'm fine with posting it in its entirety. "Finding Refuge", an anthology submission, was over 13,000 words, and people did read it.

    I agree, They prove again and again they are the best team. The earth mother knows what she's doing. I think giving the go ahead for Tilly to be told was a smart move. I believe everyone, including us readers, look forward to Miss Sybil being reunited with her mate. We'll see what Elinor decides to do. Cheers and thanks, my friend.

    It's a serious situation, but I need my moments of sappiness. This is a different Logan we are seeing, and yeah, just maybe he is deserving of our Tilly.

    I agree about that conversation being a powerful moment. What the Vega pack is being asked to consider is incredibly complex. I can't imagine anyone asking me to give up my home and move somewhere unfamiliar. Yet, I am not faced with the demise of my race and given a chance to help reverse that. Yes indeed, Tobyn has learned well from his mother. He is definitely a persuasive man, and diplomacy is his strong suit. I remember when all the readers wanted to tar and feather him.     It's awesome to hear you are considering revisiting other stories, Terry, and I appreciate all the new comments for this one. As a writer, it can be hard during the down times when weeks and weeks go by without any like of comment on any of your stories. My motivation to write is fed by interacting with readers on the story level.
