A very good, if unfortunate, chapter Parker! We new it was coming. It was inevitable with Ambrose sniffing around. Eric's despair is heart wrenching. And winter is still coming. Now take care of our boy! Please.

I don't want to give too much away. Some readers will perhaps wonder if I am alluding to current events in this story. Please remember this story was basically written between Sept. 2014 and April, 2015. Minor stuff was added and of course a ton of editing was done before I started posting in August. The venue was not chosen arbitrarily. There is a morass of cultism in Central New York State. Don't forget, Palmyra is nearby. But more to the point, New Bethany isn't very far from my story's location. The murder of the teenager and severe beating of his younger brother, for their sins, was carried out by their own sister and parents, in the sick church where they 'worshiped.' I can't begin to tell you how my skin crawled when this happened at the same time I was posting chapters of Twoey! I'm still shaken.

Week Five Sunday, October 5, 2014: Mike’s Dollar
skinnydragon posted new chapter in 18 Weeks of Twoey
A force keeps us connected all the time. I woke up with a smile on my face, I'm not sure why. Maybe it was the dance. Everything was perfect. Gary and I talked about it, how nice it was, on our morning run. “Mel and I are getting real close, David! I think this is it! She's the one! You know, we left during the dance, and snuck into the Swim Team supply room...” I interrupted him, placing my hands over my ears, shouting, “LALALALALALALA! Too much information! I SO do NOT want to hear this!!!- 10 comments

Thanks AC! Well this is certainly not my genre, but your 'queasy' feeling was what I was trying to achieve. (actually I was thinking 'unease.') So, at least in that respect, it was successful.

Parker's correct. The boys might think their only foes are wild animals. The human kind can be even more dangerous. Keep those weapons strapped on boys!
-
Very Moving Wolfman! I'm obviously happy you made it and proud you could discover the inner drive to succeed and rely on yourself. Many in 'better' surroundings never do.

It look like Craig and Joel overcame a little orientation hurdle. Good for them. The scene of them looking at the photo album was touching. Joel getting as much out of it as Craig, even though he was looking at strangers. At least they have a task now, besides survival. They're going to become even closer. Hopefully they'll find a girl for Joel and a boy for Craig, although that might seem unlikely. But then so is everybody disappearing in the first place ...so there's hope

Thanks Defiance! Obviously SkinnyD DOESN'T write poetry! But hell, I tried. Maybe I'll try a few more.

Chapter 49 The Big Reveal
skinnydragon commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 49 The Big Reveal
A great chapter, full of love. Love of M&K for each other, and of each, in his own way, for Nate who certainly feels it. Not to mention the blossoming love of Nate and Brodie. I think it was brought into greater focus for Nate in the 'scar' scene. An eye opener for him. Of course we shouldn't forget the love of the puppy, claiming her new family ...or of big Mike for his truck Thanks for this chapter Gary! -

Thanks Defiance for the great comments! Haha ...no peeking! I have a feeling that first meeting is going to be wrenchingly emotional for both boys. Strap in. -
Week Five Friday October 3, 2014: Homecoming Game

Thanks for the review Lisa! Haha ...yes I think you're right. He's given up denying it. Probably going to put all his effort into the Twoey "did I say I loved him?" denial. -
Oh Drew! I'm so happy you found it. I'm already polishing up the next which is dedicated to YOU. There's also a contest involved, cuz I know you like that sh*t

Thanks Gary! It means a lot. Anyway, I probably used my year's allocation of words on "Twoey." I need to be parsimonious!

Thanks Tim ...it was your comment that dared me to try

Thanks Parker!

Well to be honest, Ambrose did grow up there and "knew" the Andersons. I suspect some part of Eric's original story didn't quite align with Abrose's experiences. You know he won't let it go! He can't. His dad has this person working and eating there every day, and something doesn't quite add up. Nope! Not gonna let it go. Nuh-uh.

Oh Dear Mitchelll ! I hope I don't violate too much medical accuracy. Give me just a little bit of poetic license, please! Haha ...anyway thanks for your concern. Twoey thanks you also, although he can't talk just yet -

Hey Parker, thanks for all those leads ...hehe Yep to most all of them, with a few twists here and there. It won't be giving much away, cuz it's pretty obvious, that David and Twoey are going to encounter some wrenching times once D. can visit the hospital. They love each other, no matter what denial is present, and it's gotta cause something to happen. -

Thanks for the review and thoughts CG! Poor Twoey's mom! She'll have two adolescent puppies in her hands soon ...hehe. Now the dance is over maybe David will move on, but there'll be a Halloween dance in a few weeks. He better extricate himself ASAP! Actually, Martin is David's friend, as you'll soon see. -
Aha! A little more about the mystery lifeguard who began our story. Ambrose is not going to be satisfied, ever! Eric won't be able to go to school without a parent or other credentials. It's interesting to hear him talk about using the cabin during the winter. Interesting because he's unconsciously chosen Eustace's farm to be home. Funny scene with him avoiding hats associated with the two worst adults in his life, so far. A lovely chapter Parker, especially the midnight swim and Eric's musings. Waiting for the next!

skinnydragon posted new chapter in 18 Weeks of Twoey
How much one cares for you is how you know. After this morning's run I crossed the street as soon as I saw Gary go into his house, and ran over to Plum. Since the car was still there, I rang her bell. Twoey's mom invited me in and forced me to have breakfast. “I'm sorry, I probably smell awful. I came directly from finishing my run. I couldn't be here last night because of the game and can’t tonight because of the dance.” She laughed and said, “You know David, I'd rather smell a boy who's bee- 12 comments

A sad chapter but ending with the mysterious Viktor and his Limo. It sounds like Denise is thoroughly weaved into his life, tough. Good stuff Mitchelll !
