  1. Um, you did that 46 minutes ago
  2. How do you not have your apartment/house/domicile memorized? I can walk around my house in complete darkness and not hit a single thing. I've lived there for eight years. My husband gets lost with the lights on. Thank goodness he's hot. J
  3. With the flashlight from your phone, I'm sure I'd be able to clean myself right and proper. 👋
  4. In my youth, I spent a lot of time exploring the country side in the dark. The night is always so peaceful and I never understood why people are scared of the dark. My husband is constantly turning on all the lights in the house. He hates having it dark. I'll get up in the morning, while it's still dark out, sit on the couch, enjoy my tea while sitting on the dark. He thinks its weird that I will shower without a light on. Who has time to find the light switch? I can see enough from the light coming in from the window. J
  5. Wait, does this mean in our relationship I'm not the husband/man? You're breaking my brain!
  6. It's uncanny how you can read my mind. I am truly amazed! Hmm, out of all the freaky stuff I have my characters do, body painting is a no brainer. I blame @Lee Wilson for convincing me to cut that part out! 😜😝 He did say a few chapters back that he's okay shouldering half the blame. Time to pay the piper
  7. In my early twenties, I witnessed someone jerking it in the moonlight on the roof of the building across from my apartment. That scene always stuck with me and I used it for this story. Though in real life, the person was older, not very attractive, and probably straight. The end resulting in thirty seconds was accurate though.
  8. If you wait for the next chapter, I actually describe the painting in great detail.

    Never Enough

So this story has been bugging me for weeks now. And it's been driving me crazy. There was a time when I stopped reading, I was gonna wait until it was finished so I could read it in a few sessions. But the amazing writing kept drawing me back inside. Because this story is going nowhere. Almost every scene is in Jamie's apartment, we only really have two characters. So boring. Nothing happens but the making of the "O" face. This story is superbly written. The characters of Jaime and Cottontail are so different yet works as they jockey for the upper hand. Their back and forth is so captivating, I realized this is why this story is driving me crazy. Nothing is happening. There are hints at conflicts, hints at a power struggle between Cottontail and his asshole sibling. But then it just goes right back to that apartment. They talk, outstanding dialogue, but still just talk, they bone, and then the next chapter is more of the same thing. Then today it hit me, this is the story. Their verbal back and forth is what Liar Vs Liar is about. Laura gave us the plot in the title. I've been looking at this story from the wrong angle. As they try to gain the upper hand on one another, they are slowly, methodically falling in love. And will that love stand the test when all the lies, (i am going on record right now that the lies won't stand up to the way it was built up), and when all the truths come out, will Jaime and Cottontail still be a them. In that regard this story is brilliant. I no longer have the anger that this story isn't going anywhere. Because what we've gotten for 31 chapters is the conflict step by step, omission by omission, orgasm by orgasm, lie by lie, towards the resolution. So my hat is doffed, and I'll stop sending dirty thoughts towards this story moving forward. It took me 31 chapters, but I understand what this story is about. So I'll enjoy the story the author wrote instead of the story I wished the author wrote. Which means, where I thought the story was going, not that Laura wrote a bad story. I just thought it was going somewhere else. Anyway, I get it and like it. No haters please. I might be slow but I get there eventually.
  10. the only illustrator I know is @Thirdly who is actively avoiding this story at the moment to focus on her real life. And who i shouldn't be @ at to distract her from her real life. Sorry/Not Sorry J
  11. When I was a lad, around 18, I rented a basement apartment in a small town called Grantville. It was a farm owned by a wonderful woman. Bordering her property was another farm owned by a man who didn't like gay people much. She was a lesbian and I was slut. So I would paint the back side of his barn that faced her property. Since it jutted up against the property line, he never saw the back side. I painted a rainbow flag, welcome to gaysville, anything else I could think of to make it the gayest barn in small town Pennsylvania. When we had our gay parties, there was a lot of additions to the piece over the years. I wish I would have gotten a picture. J
  12. Tyler Scott grabbed his phone and sent a text to the one person he hadn’t been able to get out of his mind all day. “What are you doing?’ He stared at the screen for what felt like forever before he saw the three dots appear. He couldn’t help himself, he smiled giddily. The longer he saw the flashing three dots, the higher his anticipation grew. It was almost five full minutes before Brandon finally responded. ‘painting’ ‘Can I come over?’ Again, it was several minutes
  13. Writing Brandon's perspective on his home life was difficult. Though I've heard this type of story from many people over the years, trying to balance the trauma without going into a darker vision was difficult. When parents stay together in a toxic relationship, whatever the reason, appearances, nowhere else to go, or worse hating a child due to a religious belief, the children are always caught in the middle and have the most harm done. And I struggled trying to balance Brandon's life against the almost perfect Tyler's life while somehow making them both compelling and logical that they would find one another. J
  14. Or on top of a firetruck because the barracks had slumbering men.
  15. So I just watched the first two episodes of season three, and I’m man enough to admit that I am actually blown away. episode one, the first seventeen minutes was amazing. Maybe the best depiction of magic ever on screen. season one was mostly good, season two had a lot of flat moments for me, but they might have gotten their writers room together for season three. I really hope they can continue the intensity they have started on for the remainder of the season.
  16. Truthfully I always thought from the moment I read the summery that it was a double entendre regarding penis size. But that's just me. You know what they say about a wolf with big paws, right? Sorry, I'm feeling silly.
  17. The wolf and human interplay is wonderful, filled with horrible jokes and bad puns. It's really a joy to read. Don't have a clue where you are going with this, but I'm thinking I'm down for the ride. J
  18. Now you can see why I want to close this chapter, the person who wrote these pieces doesn't even exist anymore. The next one hopefully ends this series on a hopeful note.
  19. I am new to werewolf tales, but I am doing research for a prompt project I'm working on. This opening is chaotic, frightful, and brilliantly written. You feel the fear, the prey running from the hunter, whom seem to be toying with "Ray", as no normal human could ever hope to outpace a wolf. Using what I am assuming is werewolf lore, I have not seen werewolves depicted as regular wolves until very recently. I started another story but quickly lost interest for a bunch of reasons. But here, the description of the fight was outstanding. And while I'm still not a fan of what you are calling shifter stories unless they pertain to vampires, I am truly excited to read what you have posted thus far.
  20. I Was Twelve April 2nd, 1997 I was twelve the first time he touched me Riding in the passenger's seat of a green Buick The left rear fender dented and beginning to rust Old vinyl seats stuck to the back of my legs Bug splattered windshield Spider web crack tracing the driver's side I remember the smell to this very day At times I awake from sleeping My chest heaving That smell filling my nostrils Hot and musty Stench that can only be described As an average teen
  21. The way I steal from myself, I would have used it somewhere else. I took out a big plot point in Time Stood Still, to use it in this story, I am having to change the entire history because I felt Brandon should be the witness and not Justin and Greg. Which means I have to change something Matt says in three chapters otherwise it doesn't make sense. J (who should write one story at a time and not five)
  22. Um, the only reason why there is sex in this story, and that is on the way, maybe even too much, wait, first a brief back story. I've never written and posted any story that has graphic depictions of sex before. It wasn't until I read a story called All My Dreams Pass Before My Eyes, that I really saw sex used as a plot device to push the story forward. Normally the sex isn't essential to the plot, it's just a place where someone can read the story naked. But what @JLynch succeeded in doing, Carey's sexual journey was the defining piece that Carey experienced to come to understand his "need". If any of you haven't read it, I would highly recommend that you do. It's a wonderful tale with fun characters, the best villain that everyone loves to hate, and so many twists and turns you're not exactly sure when to get naked to read the story. I was so obsessed over that idea of using sex as the important piece to drive the narrative, it heavily influenced Glacier Bay Stories and the way I plotted out the twenty year story. I just hope when the sex appears, I do an okay job. We'll see. Anyway, your words are very kind and I'm flattered that you enjoyed this chapter. It was so much fun to write their interactions over the last year. You should have seen the very first draft, it was darker, Brandon was close to ending his existence, but as the story became clearer, his actions are toned down to more of a philosophical darkness as opposed to actual darkness. You can still see bits and pieces of that darkness as I couldn't make everything fuzzy bunny slippers. J
  23. I wrote that about a week before I started posting. That and a scene in chapter four are brand new. I’m rather glad Lee talked me into leading with it. I almost cut it.
  24. Owen, the caterer from Glacier Bay Christmas. the one you read takes place in 1997, this one is set in 2022.
  25. Or they find you bent over the living couch and throw you out. That’s an option too. 😜😜
