  1. You can't get over Brandon and his smellypants. Brandon and his situation gets more detail and clarification later on, maybe. The scene with Dylan and Billy was a very late edition, I think last week or maybe the week before. I wasn't sure if I wanted to include it or not. And the first version ended differently, but I didn't think it fit the tone so I altered it a bit. I might have changed it after even @Lee Wilson had looked at it. To show you how bad it is with me constantly changing things, Chapter One got a re-write yesterday, I needed something to work in chapter one to foreshadow something in part two. Part One consists of 21 chapters, for now. Part 2 TBD. Not sure if part two will be gigantic or if I'll break it into two parts. The plan is for three parts, 20ish chapters each. But I'm not normal and change my mind constantly.
  2. With parents, sometimes everyone is caught in a cycle of their own making. Its like not being able to see the forest due to the trees blocking your view.
  3. I just sent you a DM before you said this. So disregard my rambling plea, It was just explaining my mania in greater detail.
  4. It's the whole triangle device, Carey with Harper, then Carey with Bell, and the aftermath. There was so much meat on the bone in that storyline, you have basically two short chapters dealing with it and then Carey moves on because that was the story you were telling. My story is based on that idea, but it's not a stepping stone in my characters life, it's the defining weekend that sets in motion the rest of his life. I am planning on giving you credit as I freely admit I stole the idea from your story. J
  5. So I knew you were going to do this, I didn't not think you could have topped your first one, but you did. My cap is doffed. J
  6. The sun had already slipped behind the mountain, but not before giving one last burst of warmth to the valley floor. As if to say, for now you’ve won, but I shall return tomorrow. As the last ray of light disappeared into the September sky, the mild temperatures plummeted to the mid-fifties. All across the valley, children rushed inside to escape the weather as smoke rose lazily into the sky from hundreds of chimneys that guaranteed a haven of warmth inside the four walls. As if to taunt th
  7. Hmm, 22 wasn't finished. Just FYI, if you see anything that is highlited orange, that means I am not happy with that part and haven't "finalized" it yet. But thank you in all seriousness,
  8. I love this, I saw this last night on the train but I couldn't respond because I forgot my reading glasses. I hereby challenge you to bring us a wonderful poem based on each chapter?!!!!! Just kidding, J
  9. Good then finish chapter twenty and twenty one. 😜
  10. Thats his way of saying he doesn't want anything to do with parts 2 or 3. 😜 I think editing this part almost broke him.
  11. I'm not going second after either one of you.
  12. I am very slutty, or was before I got married, now I'm only slutty with him. But the principle is the same, I haven't forgotten my slutty nature. Brandon is kind of slut, who knows what type Tyler turns out to be.
  13. What are the stakes? J
  14. This might have been the funniest thread I've read in a long time.
  15. I didn't do anything to prepare. I'm going to make a confession. For the last ten years, I have flatly refused to change time. I don't spring forward, I don't fall back. I stay the same no matter what the rest of your weirdos do. So I've been on this time zone now for a while. When everyone else thought it was 9am yesterday, I was on 10am time. It gets a bit confusing for my friends and my husband, but I don't care. My guests at my restaurant were very confused when I opened at 11am my time and everyone else was mistakingly thinking it was noon. But after a month or so, people caught on and it's kind of a san francisco thing that I'm known as the restaurant out of time. It's weird and different just like me. J
  16. I am glad the personal tragedy of my younger self can be amusing for you! 😜 😜. Considering all these stories are based on me and my friends, expect many more examples of stupidity. Matter of fact, expect them Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Book 1 has 21 chapters,
  17. My first real relationship/boyfriend that lasted longer than a few weeks, when he was a child/teenager, would create power point presentations to convince his parents why he needed "X". He would put so much effort into why he needed a new X-Box, his parents would eventually give in. I felt it fit the family dynamic in this situation. In the next chapter, we get to see more about how and why Brandon lives the way he does. As for Tyler's parents, they are the parents I desperately wanted/needed when I was seventeen. That being said, Tyler needs to have a good home life for the challenges ahead. I think many of us had that teenage friend that didn't shower frequently, my friend was named Jake. The first time Jake and I fooled around, it was in the church's parking lot. Somehow we got onto the subject of jerking it, and he pulled his out. He smelled so bad, I could smell him on my hand later that night when I was sleeping in bed. He might have showered once a week, and yes, I was that dumb horny gay boy that continued to play around with Mr. Smellypants until his family moved away a year or so later. While Jake and our antics aren't really featured in this story beyond the inspiration for Brandon's smelliness, who knows if I will revisit that well sometime in the future/past. (that's a hint for what's in the pipeline concerning Glacier Bay and it's inhabitants)
  18. I had debated on whether or not to include it, but @Lee Wilson convinced me. So there's just another thing we have to thank Lee for. J
  19. The joke would have been better without adding the Jest... And I would have went with it. And most of the chapters you went far past twenty!
  20. Thank you, I am humbled. But it was @Lee Wilson guiding my many mistakes. You should have seen all the edits he had to do to get it to readable chapter. You didn't have a friend like Sean/Shawn, many a times I woke with that exact scenario in his twin bed. Sean/Shawn is a quasi-famous Christian musical artist now. We still keep in touch from time to time. Even had a little tryst a few years back, some thirty years from the last encounter. I might shoot him a link to this story just to make him squirm a little. J
  21. Tyler Scott woke about five hours later for two reasons. The first was that the left side of his body was numb and covered in sweat. The other reason, and the more pressing of the two, was that he had to pee. Tyler opened his eyes and yawned loudly as he looked around the unfamiliar surroundings. Through his foggy brain, he remembered he had fallen asleep on Brandon’s bed after drinking and smoking too much weed. He yawned again, and that’s when he realized a hand other than his own
  22. Now you know why it took me twenty years to post a story! I'm in no hurry, as you know during our process, I was like, take your time, edit it in your own pace. As for taking some of the blame, I hope your shoulders are big, I'm sure there is a lot of blame to go around. 😝
  23. Thank you, I love writing these characters, maybe that's why I have seven versions of this story, I couldn't say goodbye. Boy in the same bed??!!! I'd never... So remember when you edited my story and then I told you I went back and re-worked it? My process for re-working is to physically type it again, so I'm sure you didn't miss anything, when I typed it again I'm sure all the mistakes are mine.
