  1. Hi Spike! I can always count on your support when dealing with Drewdo...Drew!
  2. Thanks Drew! I did have a good time! All adults need to let their inner child out to play at times. You should know since you let yours out many times each day.
  3. I see you both are fascinated with big round objects that are pink in color! Hmmm.....What could that mean?
  4. I see your back with style! I've been missing your timely updates!

    Chapter 23

This idea has bothered me also. I think that Jamie should have translocated the entire mess of mages so high up in the air that when the debris fell to the ground it would be difficult to locate. Who knows what kind of forensic magic or science Porvus might have to gain clues to the magic used? The hex bracelet should have been destroyed at the molecular level and turned to dust.

    Chapter 23

Another epic battle is won, but Jamie did come close to losing his life. His experiment with electrums and light gave him a new power. Again he was forced to end a life, but the method was very unexpected. I suspect that the final battle will see this power used to end the lives of more mages. The way Porvus and Lodda are expending the lessor mages is a very bad strategy. The two evil mages will have fewer followers to distract Jamie and his team. That means the team may be much more powerful than the final group of mages except for Porvus and Lodda. Then it will be the team of seven against the last two powerful evil mages. Some other small points are the missing Urvan and what he is doing now. Also, what is happening with Thorvil and the Prince. I also wonder what would happen to the curse of the Prince if Urvan's magic is destroyed. Would the curse remain, or cease to existed. Another chapter of great interest and new questions.
  7. Rusty and Matty are finding it more difficult to not tell each other their real feelings. I sense that moment will be soon. Laura has stretched this out almost to the breaking point in this chapter. John, now Connor's right hand man, is moving out but won't say where. I suspect he will be living with Connor so he can use his left hand and other body parts to provide additional assistance for Connor. Matty made a strategic mistake of looking at the closet too many times. Now Rusty will have to strategize how to get into the closet to find out what's there. Of course, nothing much will come of the discovery since that both already know the other's alternate identities. It might lead to a deep discussion that reveals those feeling, or else some other deep explorations ending explosively. Some great fun and laughs in the chapter and comments!

I am not happy with what's happening in the chapter. The jock was guilty as hell when he assaulted Ethan. Legally, Ethan's parents do have a right to press charges and take this to trial. I hope they do!

Ethan as two very great parents. I hope Ethan's dad can help Wayne's family visit his dad. At that time and place in history parents had their hands tied when it came to the educational rules. I'm sure the school board was equally hateful and biased in this town. It is a bit frustrating that this is happening with no glimmer of hope it will change. It would take a major revolt by the parents against the school board to force movement away from this policy. A hallmark of a good story is often in the discussions that result from reading them. The comments here reflect that!

    Shall We Dance?

What a lovely poem. Great images with rhyme and rhythm dancing in my mind. Thanks for sharing!
  11. I think you might want to place a bet on @Geemeedee instead of @weinerdog. The (good, awesome, great) dog does deserve the bone, but doesn't seem to have insider info.

I like how the guys are slowly developing their relationship. I believe a relationship that develops slowly will be stronger and last longer. I also thought the conversation between the boys about Wayne's father was well written. I believe that there is a strong probability that his father was set up by hateful bigots in town who wanted force the family to leave. I am also sure that Walters sending Willy to Jackson was also because of Willy's joining the lunch group. I suspect that the others in the group, even the girls, are now targeted.

    Chapter 2

I can empathize with Dakota's nervousness on his first solo event teaching the kids at the ranch. I experienced the same when I walked into my first classroom without any mentor or advisor to support me. He did all the right things in planning and preparation and seems to have begun successfully. Since we know of his sweat lodge vision it is interesting that he and Connor have met. Connor might not be Dakota's soulmate, but I do sense they may meet again later. I also think the connection with the rescue horses was interesting. I wonder if he will pick one or two of them to take home when he leaves. Very good development of the characters and the plot!

    Chapter 22

I like Gorge and believe he will be a very good addition to the team. The fact that an ancient machine was made to detect magic and defend against it is a startling new development. It might also hold the key to how to counter the destructive nature of the light/laser weapon. I am curious if Jamie or any other of the team with extended sight has look for the light above Gorges head to check if he has the knack. It may have been mentioned, but I don't remember reading that it has happened. One other thing that has me curious. As long as they have been traveling, Thorvil should have returned from the conference. I wonder if he knows what's happening, and if he does know what is he thinking or doing about the situation.

    Chapter 22

Since new knots get quickly tested, your words imply they will meet up with another attack by Porvus soon.

    Chapter 22

Another thought might be to make use of the ancients' materials technology like the glass. Jamie might also be able to tie a knot that reflects the kinetic force, created by the impact of the laser, back at the sender. Although I suspect that kinetic magic might be more in the realm of Garvin's magic.
  17. I think the Drewth somehow got into Spike's comment!
  18. Each of us grows up at our own rate. However, if each of us celebrates both the child within ourselves and others, our child will always be close at hand to bring us fun and joy as needed or wanted. I'm 74 and fully intend to be a bit of a child tonight at my friends Bday party.
  19. From the Max stories you have shared with us, I know Max will do fine. I also know that he is both responsible and an independent thinker. I hope he has a great time again this year at camp! He'll probably have a lot of stories to share with you and Morgan when he gets back.

    Chapter 1

Although much older than a teen, I also used get my trees for Christmas under the BPA power lines on the slopes of Mt. Hood. Dugh Firs make great Christmas trees, especially when free.
  21. I'm having a great time. Lots of reading on GA, anticipating the new computer, and going to a birthday party tonight. How is your gang doing?
  22. I wonder if a certain Florida author would be more appreciative of our efforts when she finally publishes the last novel in her great series of novels!
  23. How soon she forgets how villainous various subversive members of the Korner Krew worked drunkenly diligently to put her last really great book over the top in comments, recommends and reviews.
