Hi Page! I hope your week is going well.
-
This is a wonderful story of good conquering evil, but even more importantly, of healing and rebuilding a future for the victims of evil. It is the pinnacle of the success of a wonderful series of stories, the Hybrid Journey. Kbois has earned her title as a Promising Author, but in my opinion, she has produced stories well beyond the scope of that title. The three stories in this series all check off all the boxes in the Recommends. These stories are not only highly recommended by a huge number of readers but also have a huge number of 5-star reviews. My only advice is to start from the beginning. I highly recommend this series of stories; no matter what genre you like, you will love these stories.

Love your plot twists, @Cia! Since Beckett recognized the human-like mage he had just met and the fact the new mage was a brother to the evil one who stole Parallax's star, they must be twins. The only problem here is whether those two brothers are the same or different as the new mage states. I think, although different, the newest brother will still present problems for Beckett and Valrinda.

Well said, @Cane23!

I knew that part of the story was very powerful, but knowing its reality is even more powerful. That you decided to give it away is a great way to honour both your father and the 'real' Mitch. I am glad you kept it long enough to inspire both The Busker and part of this story. I hope that we will see it again in future stories.
-
You would know, Drewster! But I do think that your rating is only your mask talking, not your real feelings. Honestly, Spikey and Drew, can't you two have a lovers' spat without going so ballistic? It's like you are both so Abby Normal.
-
That is heartbreaking. The real 'Mitch' is a tragic example of a common occurrence among the homeless. He was so close to having a real break in life, only to lose his life. The world is smaller by his absence and the absence of others who met the same fate. I hope this knowledge will help motivate readers to work for a better future for all.

It's not quite finished yet, but I agree it is both brilliant and perfect.

You will notice that I am very good at using a whip to control the sleigh. Of course, the reindeer were very wooden in their response. 😁

The mongoose is an interesting animal. It was imported into Hawaii about 140 years ago by sugar plantation owners on three of the largest islands who hoped the animal would rid their fields of rats. Being omnivores and opportunistic feeders, the mongoose had a small impact on the rat populations. Unfortunately, the animals brought devastation to many other native species of Hawaii, especially ground-nesting birds and turtles whose eggs they eat. They are a threat to many endangered species on these islands today.

Thanks, Lee. After viewing the song in your comment, I saw that when I went down the rabbit hole. I listened to a few more of their songs and looked up information about the two. There are several excellent YouTube videos of their music, appearances and even an interview. It fascinates me that these two British guys play great country western music. I viewed one of the videos of them on their Nashville trip last year. Amazing!

Chapter 23 In the Bright Light of Day
raven1 commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 23 In the Bright Light of Day
Great chapter, Gary! It continues building on the prior chapter without missing a step. You certainly have a way of using words that grab readers' emotions. I got a great laugh at this conversation. I loved the visualization of this part. It was a weird mix of sexy and funny. I also thought the love scene, both romantic and erotic, was perfect as the climax (pun or not, take it or leave it) to their long-smouldering desire for each other. You just had to add the "Whose the boss?" argument right in the middle of their making love. LOL! Looking forward to a few more chapters. Just so you know, I'm in the #thesheriffneedslove camp. -
It's a very nice song that does feel like Stacy, Max and the home they have built for their family and friends. I haven't heard of this father-and-son duet before, but I do like their song and style of music. I was impressed that they wrote this and other songs they sing. Thanks for sharing this!

Hmm...Coy behave? Boone and Mitch may try to watch over Coy, but if Coy thinks it's important, he'll only behave until he can figure out a loophole or strategy to do something without violating his own words.

I have one quick comment and request. GA is a supportive community and thrives on readers' participation. I want to thank all of you for your comments and support of @Mancunian and this story. I would like to request new readers and those who haven't already recommended this story to do that. Recommends honour the writer as well as advertise the story to new readers. After the epilogue, a review would also be a great gift of appreciation to Craig for the many hours of work he gave to create this story.
-
I want to echo Craig's reply. Getting your comments and support is also special to me. I respect you as a writer and enjoy reading your stories. Your mention of the human touch and extensive details is very affirmative since those are also hallmarks of your stories. Thanks, @Backwoods Boy!

It better be a short break, or I will get the whip out to get you started.

Max and Stacy are the glue that holds things together as things fall apart for Michael, Charlie and Harry. Their strength and empathy keep things from becoming unbearable and clean up messes when those happen. The gift of chains is a beautiful moment in the story, second only to the very end when Harry lets the boys know they are his family.

Hi Chris! This is a lovely story, and I'm glad you have enjoyed it. The Boot world is not always happy, but this story was great in demonstrating many of the joys possible for those who have lost everything. I hope you stick with the series and enjoy the other stories in this world.

I know I like to focus on the HEA, but one of your short stories that I love the best, The Busker, is also one that is sad without a happy ending. It did have to be told, and it shows the side of homelessness that no one wants to acknowledge. That story makes me cry even when I think about it.

Allergies, onions and pheromones, Oh My! You all are just softies with tough guy masks. Don't worry, I won't give away your secret. It's great to hear you are cranking out a new story for us to enjoy.

Thank you so much, @drsawzall! Your comments and encouragement are heartwarming. The heart and soul are what really matter in life, and I appreciate your comments as expressions of this. As for the cars, I also hope the Mini and Joe's Triumph come back. I'm hoping I get to take the Triumph out for a spin. It was my dream car as a youth.
-
Hi @akascrubber! You made a good point about this and other stories. The HEA endings are the lives that now find hope through the love and support of others who helped heal these lives. Great comment.
-
Happy New Year to you also, @JohnnyC. I love the Lunar New Year and also the Thai New Year, Songkran, coming up in April. It is based on solar movement or change and roughly corresponds to the beginning of the growing season after the many months of the dry season.
-
Happy New Year to you, @Ivor Slipper! Hope to see you again in the comments of other stories this year.
