    Chapter 20

Hey Kitt! Thanks for sharing this with the gang, especially the Korner Krew! I am back and catching up. Because of all the comments being posted, I am not able to read most comments and catch up on reading! OMG is it two or three chapters with 8 pages of comments each?!!! Hi to all! I have missed everyone!

    Asking Favours

I still don't like Hortaimin, but at least he is showing some signs that he is not F'drun Jr. A reformed bully that becomes loyal friends with the good guys is a nice addition to a story, so maybe that could happen. I am excited about the next chapter. I don't want the story to end, but hopefully the sequel is already to the point that it can start to be posted very soon.

    Chapter 20

It was interesting to me that Boss was in charge of keeping things in hand on Earth as well as being a Fae Royal. I also thought that he was genuinely surprised about Trevor and will make it a point to get rid of him. I am still in denial about Kage's death, and have a feeling that Boss is not forthcoming with all the truth. I did like the chapter with all the information it has provided. Looking forward to Elijah being reunited with all his friends in Idaho/Montana.

    Chapter 19

A one day reprieve from angst. Ahhh. So nice, but we do need to get back to the action. I want to know what B knows about Kage's death...or at least doesn't know.

    Chapter 18

The laptop shows up, but too late to save Kage. Elijah now has an inner voice he didn't have before. The car delivery was delayed by a long term computer glitch. And... Trevor is being incredibly stupid. Seems to be a lot of clues or red herrings. Maybe this is some long term convoluted planning but Kage or Mr. B? Not going to speculate, because there are too many unknowns at this time.

    Chapter 17

Kage's death was written with a lot of love. Somehow, I hope his soul is alive in Elijah. (Maybe you will be channeling JKR, and have Kage reborn from the piece of soul without B knowing.) I hate what happened, but knowing you it will all be for the good, I hope.

    Chapter 17

@kbois, I hope that your mom is better now. I have been resting, but am back. Take care.
  8. Jevikel still worries about being sent home, and it take the love and comfort of Kadin to help him find some peace after the fight with Hortaimin. The meeting with G'dar established what happened and the punishments for each, but was even more important for Jevikel. G'dar's comparison of Jevikel to S'brin was just a warning about self discipline and control. Other than that, Jevikel is not very similar in my mind to S'brin. The other warning was about sex around baby dragons. G'dar and S'brin think they got around that rule, but what if that was what caused S'brin's dragon to not like Herebeth? I think that Jevikel and Kadin need to stick to the tradition of no sex. Hortaimin is no F'drun Jr. He is a bully and a bigot. Does he truly believe as his father does about gay men, or is it a shield to protect himself from his father's bigotry? Bullies can be redeemed. He doesn't seem to have the level of intelligence, evil, or charm of F'drun. He definitely can not lie as well as F'drun. I can see he has learned some leadership skills, but those skills don't seem as evident as those of Jevikel. Hortaimin might be a good wing leader on a brown dragon, but never a weyr leader on a bronze IMO. He also could be a troublemaker that does a lot of stupid things, and ends up dead because of his arrogance and inability to follow the rules.
  9. These TikTok recipes must be the secret weapon Drew has been developing. They certainly are more effective making us sick than the nuke attacks. Hi Drew!
  10. I finished Morningstar and love it even more than the first time. I thought I would write a second review focusing on how different an experience it is to read a good book the second time, but the system won't let me. I guess I'll just let my first review I wrote last year stand as is. Signing out for the night! Take care everyone!
  11. Gary, I want to thank you again for this story. It has so much love and hope for the future woven into the story. I love the way Kellar and Tobyn have worked together to build a family and and rescue their community. I honestly love this story more this second time, and know I will probably read this story many more times.

    New Perspectives

Fendral made some big mistakes, but at least now he knows and can accept them. Besides filling in the missing pieces of Kellar's parents, Fendral's biggest contribution to Kellar is to help Kellar he is a unique individual that is the blend of both his parents and not a rebirth of his many times removed grandfather. I was surprised that the heritage was passed down on the female side of the family, but that's a cultural bias on my part. Now maybe Kellar will find comfort and peace with his place in shifter society. I know with the guidance of his family and grandfather he will be stronger than ever. It is nice that grandfather wants to continue to be a part of Kellar's life.
  13. Just so everyone knows, I won't be online much for the next two days. Aod and I are going to pick up his parents from Phetchabun and bring them up to Chiang Mai to visit for a week. It's a two day trip there and back in the car. I can't read and type during the trip and they live in the sticks so wifi receptions is spotty at best.
  14. Hey Gary! I am really excited about the Fall Anthologies. I won't pester you for any details. I want to be surprised by your new works.
  15. Hi All! I have just about made it thru to the end of Morningstar. I love that book. I guess I must have binge read the last half of the book, because I can't find any comments I made after about the first half. So I have been trying to add comments for all chapters again. Having to do that with this formatting problem is more than a little difficult and frustrating. It took a while to find the buttons needed and how to clear out the pictures superimposed over the comment box so I could add my comments. I hope Myr can get these fixed soon. 🤞
  16. I'll pass it on to my friend Bo. He is from Hamburg and one of my best friends in Thailand.
  17. Yes, and I'm not sure, but I think the first may be mozzarella or provolone. Both are great cheeses for grilling because of their high melting temperature. The video only said 'kase' and there was no written recipe attached to the video. It still makes my mouth water thinking about eating that for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
  18. New eyes and a new vision of the future is what Kellar brings to the pack. His refusal to become the alpha of Morningstar Pack isn't just his rejection of leadership, it is the realization that in modern society, the pack needs leaders in many different areas. He knows his own area of expertise, and sees that just his skills are not going to meet the future needs of the pack. He wants to be free to do what he loves and does best...heal. Tobyn can also see this and supports Kellar completely. That is why they are such a great team together and have achieved so much. Fendral's appearance was great, but there were moments of great angst until the old wolf decided to accept the healing of his grandson. Tobyn did a great job of helping the wolf understand what was happening, but it was Kellar's heartfelt pleading with his grandfather that overcame Fendral's reticence to being healed. This is another tearjerker chapter for me. There is nothing more powerful that reuniting a family. Thanks Gary PS You can stop chuckling over the first sentence Gary. 😉
  19. Tobyn and Kellar's morning fishing was a quiet start to this powerful chapter. Miss Sybil's visions have returned with great force and impact on Kellar and the Morningstar Pack. Kellar now has a strong connections to his mother and father. He has the closure of not only knowing how they died, but that he and Tobyn have revenged their deaths by killing two of the hunters. I wish I could remember if you mentioned who might have killed the other Reznick. I did remember from reading before that Fendral was Kellar's grandfather, but had forgotten that that mean Kellar is the hereditary alpha of the pack. It will be a very difficult concept for Kellar to deal with. He is fortunate to have his family and his pack to help him. Great chapter.

    Growth

Connor reminds me a bit of Tobyn. They both need time to process before they commit to something. In Connor's case it just doesn't take as long. The do make a cute couple that will bring a lot of happiness to each other and the pack. It was nice that Connor decided to live in Hugh's home, and Hugh will help Connor at the farm for a week. Other than Brian's possible threat to their future, this was a very laid back chapter. I was glad that Denver was able to identify where his former pack was located.
  21. It seems the Earth Mother makes sure Kellar gets to where he is needed in time to save the lives of Earth Mates. Tobyn and Kellar were just what Connor needed to help him understand his bond with Hugh. The cop sounds like a dangerous guy. I might even suspect the disappearance of the man before Connor was more than the guy running away. I feel that Connor is in more danger than just the bone splinter he had.
  22. It's kind of hard writing a comment with the formating problems. Pictures imposed over the comment box as I type. I had forgotten about Connor and Hugh, so reading this chapter was like reading it for the first time. I hope things can work out for them.

    The Reunion

This is the chapter I have been waiting for. Yes, once again I got tears in my eyes. The reunion of Miss Sybil and Arthur was such an emotional high for me. I love Miss Sybil and Arthur. In a way they they were so much alike when separated. Both showed courage and lived good lives in spite of being separated. They were/are both elders in their pack who were respected and adored. They both worked tirelessly to do what they could to help the packs survive the malaise. There reunion is a power statement of love and hope. Tilly's and Logan's meeting was a lot of fun. I think that Elinor probably told Tilly a lot more that Tilly remembers. She is so scatterbrained by finding out she has an Earth Mate in Logan that she probably didn't listen to half of what Elinor said. Logan and Tilly are so much alike that they will make a formidable force in the future of the pack. Thanks Gary for writing this super chapter!
  24. An interesting chapter with a very special end. Elinor's talk with Kellar and Tobyn has at least left the problem with Miss Sybil in Elinor's good hands. It is exciting to know that Miss Sybil is finally getting her visions back. That they deal with Arthur will make their reunion very special. Hutch and Delia finally meeting was a great scene. It did impress all who witnessed it. I don't think Arthur will let them put off his reunion for more than a day longer. Tobyn is really turned on by Kellar's change to a more alpha type personality. I had to chuckle however when it was noted that Kellar could only use it on Tobyn when Tobyn gave Kellar permission. That's best for both of them. Kellar will always want times to rest and rebuild while not being the boss. That's why they make a great team.
  25. I want to see both of the beautiful ladies' happy dances. Kellar is slowly getting past his reluctance to lead. I don't see him as an alpha in the pack. He has too many other things to do. Millie and Ulrick are a very special couple. Their love for each other was so tender and impressive. Kellar handled their concerns with the same tenderness and love. Tobyn's reaction was very like him. He understands that Kellar and his mission with bring a lot of disruption to couples like these two couples and worries about the results. I thought it was especially good that Kellar had talked before with Miss Sybil about this and was able to share her thoughts. Free will is essential to the happiness of all people. Another beautifully written chapter.
