    Part 1

A great beginning to the story. I look forward to reading more of the story of Major Ox.
  2. With authors as talented as @JamesSavik and @Geron Kees and @W_L and @AC Benus and @dkstories, and others, it is hard to go wrong!
  3. Interesting, @mcarss. Mike, now I have another author to check out. {I need more time in my weeks!) And your books on Amazon are very reasonably priced on Kindle. @Cia, thanks for posting this interview.
  4. Both amazing stories and great writers on this list. Good to see @AC Benus and @dkstories and @Mark Arbour as well as other talented writers, such as @Headstall and @quokka. Of course, not every reader will have the same favorites that I do.
  5. Congratulations, @WolfM!

    Chapter 5

If you go to dictionary dot com, you see the meaning "pretentions" for wanky. If you go to urbandictionary dot com, you get some really interesting examples of wanky, including that -- seeing a baby emerging from a woman's vagina is wanky!

    Chapter 5

    What happened?

    Chapter 3

The excessive gushing is VERY suspicious. It smells like a setup to me.

    The Boot

Hi, Craig. FINALLY getting to read this story in spite of life's pushing and pulling. I will be reading (eventually) all of your stories, but it will take a while. Thank you for pointing out, in this story, some of the problems of staffing which shelters must deal with. In a sixty mile radius of where I live, several shelters have closed in the last four years because of the pandemic, of volunteers dropping out due to mental and physical fatigue, illness, and death. The remaining ones try, but need more funding, volunteers, and sometimes help to navigate hostile regulations. Thank you for writing this. You are one of the few authors I am currently aware of which are addressing this challenge of homelessness.

    Chapter 6

Just re-read this again, @Geron Kees, and realized something. When Nicholaas and Ronja told and showed the families about Charlie and the guys, Browbeat, elves, aliens, etc., Ronja was using her known skwish talent of reconciliation and understanding as well. Were you seeing if we would catch that? No wonder the families accepted and understood so well! Every time I read your stories, I see something I missed previously. The mark of an excellent, talented, and resourceful storyteller!

    Chapter 1

In the USA the laws vary greatly from state to state. Most states allow a maximum of 6 to 20 donations. In some states that issue is still being discussed.

    Chapter 1

Sounds like starting with a squirt!
  13. Fascinating. Lots to think about, whether from curiosity or seriousness.
  14. I loved #4 and found #2 the most thought provoking. Loved Cream Cans greatly. All very good.
  15. @JamesSavik -- I would be happy with more to these stories.

    Chapter 6

From the first paragraph of the chapter, -- "When they were both near to Cumming, they left the shower...." Was that Cumming, Georgia, or Cumming, Iowa? LOL. Good chapter and story. I hope there are two or three more Kenneth Hall Mysteries coming from you and Hankster. Joy showed she was too prideful to admit she was wrong in more than one way.
  17. A really good interview and answers.

    Chapter 5

No, no, no. If the FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation) and/or CIA (Central Intelligence Agency) get involved, things will get tangled up in politics instead of quick start to justice. @chris191070 and @hankster -- there is a discontinuity in the following paragraph near the start of this chapter. Are some lines to the story missing? “Whether he owns a summer home or not,” Tom said, “he was going to take Joy somewhere nearby. I’ve got to get this information to Ken.” (Missing lines here?) then turned to the chief. Suddenly the viewpoint switches from Tom to Ken -- what happened? Fascinating chapter.

    Chapter 3

I predict there is much more to learn of this situation.

    The Cedar Grove

Great story. Very reasonable and believable.
  21. Adding more stories to my reading list all the time. Thanks, @Myr.
  22. Love them, except for chives and pumpkin spice. Sounds delicious!. Not only that, but wonderful poetry.
  23. Wonderful, @Bill W. I can identify with much of this.
  24. @R. Eric -- It occurs to me that direct exposure to radiation could affect the circuitry of Rob and Apollo, possibly at times interfering with the neural networks. Without the shielding that a spacecraft or a planet's atmosphere provides, the circuitry of the Artificial Intelligences could be harmed. Good chapter.

    Indian Country

Actually, it is NOT "Marshall Law." Marshall Law was a television series. It is "Martial Law." Not to be confused with "Marital Laws" which regulate marriages.
