I MUST find more time to read. Some really good authors on that list with stories I have not yet read, such as @Laura S. Fox, @Bill W, @Headstall, @AC Benus, and @Wayne Gray, among others. @Myr, these Deep Dives are helping point out deficiencies in my reading. Thank you.

Featured Story: The Brillant Boy Billionaire
ReaderPaul commented on wildone's blog entry in Gay Authors News
It is indeed a complex story. Some parts bothered me because I am sometimes a sensitive kid at heart. However, the vast majority of those parts were necessary and/or highly important to the story. Worth reading if you have a (mostly) tough stomach for some of the emotions generated as the story progresses. Overall it is an interesting and fascinating tale. -
Good points, @kbois. A friend and I go to a particular breakfast buffet one morning a week. The bill is about $36. My friend and I take turns paying, but both of us tip every week; usually he tips $10 and I usually tip $11. (In that state, minimum wage is $12.30 an hour -- except for servers -- for servers it is $3.13 an hour.) We've gone to breakfast at this particular place for 8 years and this particular server takes EXCELLENT care of us whether they are busy or slow. Some excellent stories in this week's Wrap-Up.

Life has given you a potato. What are you going to do with it? Depends on my mood. Might use in potato salad or microwave it or make fried potatoes with it. Which Gay Authors story are you reading currently? Currently reading anything posted by @Geron Kees -- @astone2292 -- @Dabeagle -- @AC Benus -- @Backwoods Boy -- most stories by @quokka -- @JamesSavik -- @R. Eric -- @Mancunian -- @Myr and I know I am forgetting some. What singular superpower would you love to possess? The power to stretch time so I could read about 15 hours a day, while still getting all the other parts of life done in a timely fashion. -
Wow, @Mancunian -- I had not known some of what you have been through. I hope you are doing better now, physically and mentally. Paul

This story can tug at your heartstrings. While pointing out some of the challenges of homelessness, it also has some positive aspects. The caring shown by John, The Major, and others is well worth reading about.

Part 4 - The Final Part.
ReaderPaul commented on Mancunian's story chapter in Part 4 - The Final Part.
An excellent story, even though I regret that The Major sank into alcohol and homelessness. Life is not always forgiving. -
Many of the government programs to help US veterans are woefully underfunded. I cannot speak to other governments in other countries. Good chapter, though sad.
-
A great beginning to the story. I look forward to reading more of the story of Major Ox.

With authors as talented as @JamesSavik and @Geron Kees and @W_L and @AC Benus and @dkstories, and others, it is hard to go wrong!
-
I've not read anything enough like this to compare, and that is fine. It is wonderful just as it is, with thrills, a few chills, as we are filled to the gills the slow spots are nil. Sam has both fun and wild rides at Strip Supa. You will as well.

May CSR Discussion Day: Deeds of Their Past by mcarss
ReaderPaul commented on Cia's blog entry in Gay Authors News
Interesting, @mcarss. Mike, now I have another author to check out. {I need more time in my weeks!) And your books on Amazon are very reasonably priced on Kindle. @Cia, thanks for posting this interview. -
Both amazing stories and great writers on this list. Good to see @AC Benus and @dkstories and @Mark Arbour as well as other talented writers, such as @Headstall and @quokka. Of course, not every reader will have the same favorites that I do.

Congratulations, @WolfM!

If you go to dictionary dot com, you see the meaning "pretentions" for wanky. If you go to urbandictionary dot com, you get some really interesting examples of wanky, including that -- seeing a baby emerging from a woman's vagina is wanky!

The excessive gushing is VERY suspicious. It smells like a setup to me.

Hi, Craig. FINALLY getting to read this story in spite of life's pushing and pulling. I will be reading (eventually) all of your stories, but it will take a while. Thank you for pointing out, in this story, some of the problems of staffing which shelters must deal with. In a sixty mile radius of where I live, several shelters have closed in the last four years because of the pandemic, of volunteers dropping out due to mental and physical fatigue, illness, and death. The remaining ones try, but need more funding, volunteers, and sometimes help to navigate hostile regulations. Thank you for writing this. You are one of the few authors I am currently aware of which are addressing this challenge of homelessness.

Just re-read this again, @Geron Kees, and realized something. When Nicholaas and Ronja told and showed the families about Charlie and the guys, Browbeat, elves, aliens, etc., Ronja was using her known skwish talent of reconciliation and understanding as well. Were you seeing if we would catch that? No wonder the families accepted and understood so well! Every time I read your stories, I see something I missed previously. The mark of an excellent, talented, and resourceful storyteller!

In the USA the laws vary greatly from state to state. Most states allow a maximum of 6 to 20 donations. In some states that issue is still being discussed.

April 1st to April 9th
ReaderPaul commented on Parker Owens's story chapter in April 1st to April 9th
I loved #4 and found #2 the most thought provoking. Loved Cream Cans greatly. All very good. -
@JamesSavik -- I would be happy with more to these stories.
-
From the first paragraph of the chapter, -- "When they were both near to Cumming, they left the shower...." Was that Cumming, Georgia, or Cumming, Iowa? LOL. Good chapter and story. I hope there are two or three more Kenneth Hall Mysteries coming from you and Hankster. Joy showed she was too prideful to admit she was wrong in more than one way.
