I have just finished my lamb and tomato sandwich with mayo and mint sauce Delicious

Although I also like lamb roasted with rosemary and garlic, a plain roast with mint sauce is something special. In the land of Oz, we have mint sauce (vinegar based with loads of mint), mint jelly (a loose gelatin based condiment that melts into the warm lamb on your plate) and there is also “lamb jam”, a firmer mint based jelly that melts a bit but still remains separate. All three work with roast and chops - mmmmm bbq lamb chops. There are small differences between brands but not a great deal.

I cooked a lamb roast tonight and oddly all I have craved is the leftovers in a sandwich for lunch tomorrow

Hi Chris You must be getting all of the rain from here - finally stopped raining but it’s still chilly. The good news is that the temperatures will slowly creep up reaching 29C on Tuesday.

Goodnight everyone Lots of rain again but I read that the dams are not filling up because the soil is so dry that there is no runoff, it’s all being absorbed by the dry dirt

Goodnight everyone it was such a glorious day today A wet weekend on the way and next week looks chilly again. Spring is teasing us and then hiding. I don’t think my BBQ plans will proceed in quite the way I hoped 🤷♂️ The steak in the fridge will not escape my attention regardless of the weather
