  1. Think that your approach is what brings us all here--we're all compulsive readers! So you've found the right place...now read, interact in the chat rooms, make friends here, and let the authors know how they're doing with your "likes" and comments. (Yeah, your voice is important!) Welcome!
  2. Definitely a sizzling chapter...and truly a helluva day! Congrats on the rapid...uh, ... plot development! (Grin) Now that this bonding is done, gonna be interesting to see how they deal with upcoming things--especially twin sister, since her's is not a completed story. Good job!

    Chapter 6

Coach is great, the brothers are jerks, and I'm hoping Lane will soon understand Casey's needs to juggle sports, school--and new friends. A fine chapter!

    Chapter 5

Even though Jackson was only getting out of the house, this chapter has all the feel of a date. And it was certainly a fun first date! Good job--loving the direction these seems to be going!

    Early January

Loved the chapter! Steve showed what a man he wasn't--by refusing to deal with the issues head-on. But, suspect he's not totally gone; he'll pop up when we least expect it. And loved the recurring line of "at 19, I'm learning..." It not only punctuates Toph's growing maturity, it's emphasizing a different learning point each time. From a structural part of the story, it's inspired, and, I think, works well as the opening herald to a change ahead in the chapter's next part. Damn fine writing here!
  6. You absolutely nailed the nervousness Andy is feeling. Too damn much going on! I'd hoped his self-doubts would be gone, but no...and then to miss his therapy session when he needed it most... Can't wait for the "meet the family" chapter--that should be totally outrageous! Rock solid writing here...thank you!

    Chapter 2

Loving the direction the tale is moving. Jacob has a solid ally in Tiffany, and his ability to manage the school bullies will be tested--he's gonna need all the friends he can get! And really looking forward to him taking on his old man--and winning! Well done!
  8. Nicely done transition in the story! Lots of activity going on here. I must admit, although I appreciate CJ's direct approach, and appreciate even more Chipper's reassurances it hasn't changed anything, I'm worried that it will change things. Either because of Chipper's newly different attitudes, or the reaction of those around him. I'll look forward to learning my fears are unfounded. Good job on this chapter--but why am I feeling there's about to be something big happen? You ARE gonna get the next few chapters out shortly, right? <grin>
  9. Certainly a welcome bit of news from Candy--but I'm still somewhat skeptical. What if all this is just those pregnancy hormones running rampant, and when she see's the baby, she's changed her mind about it all? Now, without the financial support, it's almost like it'll be easier for her to keep the baby. We'll see--but I hope her good mood stays. Josh, on the other hand, is dealing with the nice rush of a successful "coming out" to mom--I'm just hopeful that continues for him, too; certainly he'll have obstacles to face, but glad Nate has the support of both guys, and he's not being viewed as a threat. Nicely done chapter, and great to see the story moving along well!
  10. Aw...thanks for the compliments! I'm both proud and honored that you find the characters that involving! I appreciate your reading along, and you're encouraging comments. THANK YOU!
  11. Glad you're here! Make a few postings, get into the forms and chat, and by all means, READ! You can always click on "Stories" then "Newest Stories" to fine ones you'll like. (And, if the stories are still "In Progress", just click on "follow this story" on the chapter description, and the system will notify you when new chapters are added. Above all else, know that your voice is important here--so by all means DO leave "likes", "follow this story", and "Comments" as you read--authors love that, and often tell as much in their comment response about the characters/stories as you get from the story itself! YOU can make a different in encouraging more/better writing! Welcome--and have fun!
  12. Zenith--thank you for that response to the chapter! It IS an emotional piece, considering how much Ryan has had to deal with. I can only imagine the victory he must have felt to walk even a few steps. There are plenty of changes ahead for him, and plenty of ups and down, just like with all of us. I'm hoping you'll find the rest of the story just as interesting/involving! THANK YOU for following along, and for your comments!
  13. Mike, I'm glad you don't see Ryan as handicapped, 'cause I don't think he normally sees himself that way either--but, as you say, there are times when he has to reassess himself and his situation, and it's tough. It WAS an emotional chapter for me--to recognize how very much Ryan has had to change and move forward with his life, and the challenges he faces as he rebuilds his life "from the ground up" in a new city, with a new job, with new friends, a potential relationship--and now maybe getting to walk again. WHEW! I'm exhausted just thinking about the changes in his life! THANK YOU for reading and commenting, and for your support!
  14. I think your assessment is absolutely correct--Clayton is stable and it's his consistency that'll help Ryan as much as anything else! Glad you're following the tale--and THANK YOU for your review!
  15. Chuck and Larry each came in with a bunch of baggage--and it's nice to see that in many ways they've worked through that to build a relationship. Glad you've got questions--but you're totally correct, I'm hoping I'll get 'em answered for you in future chapters. And, Ben is a good guy, who I think may be in "over his head" in his current involvement. I'll see what I can do about playing matchmaker ... but as you know, these characters develop their own lives, and don't always cooperate with our input! THANKS for reading and commenting, buddy!
  16. Glad you're enjoying the characters, and the different approach I'm using to writing about 'em. I'm working hard to really get into each character's psyche, showing them as complex, multi-dimensional people--which I'm hoping makes readers "read between the lines" to get all their details. Glad you're reading fast--it's great, and keeps me motivated to keep up with you! THANK YOU for the comments, and following along with the story!
  17. Geez....thanks, Skinny! That's great praise coming from a gifted story-teller like you! This really was a tough chapter to write. And my research pointed out all those "little" daily compromises folks like Ryan have to make. The depth of Ryan's frustration--to be active and involved and then have that taken away so quickly--has got to be huge. I'm gratified to hear that you "got" that. THANK YOU for reading/commenting--I appreciate you!
  18. Damn fine chapter! I'm in agreement with Daynemora...Fran's a skank, manipulative, a user...and now uses sexual assult to "convince" Robbie he's straight. And then to have Robbie screw things up with Nathan...well, helluva evening! Good job in telling the tale--looking forward to more!
  19. LOL! I'm shocked, positively shocked that you don't trust me! Besides, you should know at this point, I'm not writing, I'm reporting--these characters take on a life all their own. Gotta be proud of Ryan, even as he experiences the thrill of standing/walking, he's kinda sorta dealing with the frustrations of the day. And it's a great thing that Clayton can make him smile/feel better. Definitely gonna be an interesting evening with Clayton--and hope I can finish that up quickly, not make ya wait till next Thursday. This was a tough chapter to write, and the research required didn't speed it up any. THANK YOU for sticking with the tale, and for your comments!
  20. Helluva Wednesday; a few ups and a lot of downs. But Clayton will make it better tonight when we have dinner at his place. At least got my workout in, even if it did take getting up at 5:30am to be at the gym for 6am. The trainer I work with is great, really works my ass off. Hell, he’s gone above and beyond the call of duty by rigging up some machines that I can use to keep my thighs and butt toned. He’ll let me do my upper body and some of the core stuff on my own, but when it’s time to d

    Bring Home Bae

Loving the way this all played out. Think our heroes' reactions to the friendly bets on his "outing" circumstances is just a little too sensitive. After all, there's no negative reaction to it, just relaxed acceptance. Maybe their tension is because of the holiday.... Regardless, another fine chapter with solid writing. Good job!
  23. Oh, man--such a great chapter! Dealing well (seemingly) with the wedding plans, and the constant "are you sure?"has been a challenging thing, but both our heroes seem to be handling it ok. Inviting Mrs. Marjorie was a great thing, and seeing her reaction to the wedding was great, but Grandmothers giving them matching rings was one of those priceless Hallmark moments! Quite moving! I'm waiting, though, convinced the Macks and CPS are about to pounce--hope I'm wrong! Fine writing going on here...now bring on that wedding! (Grin)
  24. Absolutely charming chapter! Big changes underway... Well done!
  25. Just discovered this tasty morsel of a story...and I'm excited to see where you take it. You've created some great characters, and I'm guessing Layne is goons upset several preconceptions of our hero. Good job here! Now, roll a fat one, get your ass in the chair, and start writing! We're waiting on that next chapter!
