This chapter was like watching someone blindfolded playing hopscotch on a series of high wires. The stomach wrenching tension was too familiar. I had serious doubts about Jacob having appendicitis, the symptoms didn't quite fit. Sepsis is insidious, and Jacob has a severe case. The mortality rate is high. In Geneva, Andrew missed Enrico by seconds and was impersonating Jared while the man himself was supporting Will. How awkward. There were camera flashes as Will arrived at the hospital. Is it common for paparazzi to stake out hospital ERs?

To best understand someone, observe them in their own environment. We've now seen all three at home and it has explained so much of their behavior. Brad gets his glad handing nature from his large and boisterous extended family. Alexander had his cold fish and analytical nature bred into him, but it didn't kill his heart. He truly cherishes the simple leather bracelet Lyn gives him because he knows even such a small thing would have strained Lyn's finances and it is a physical token of their connection.

The immediate assumption for Jacob's condition would be acute appendicitis, but I find the phrase 'familiar ache' particularly troubling. It's also happening at a time when Andrew doesn't need such a severe distraction. It's the things you don’t know that trip you up. Neither Enrico nor Andrew recognize each other as primary players, but how long will it last when their destination is identical? It's pretty clear now Milos was trying to say Alvarez. On Enrico's part, he is unaware of the intricate trip wires on Finch's accounts, and counting too much on the combined security of Swiss banking and cryptocurrency. The game is notching up.

This was a complex chapter. The Reed residence is under passive surveillance by as yet unknown agents. Since Dr. Reed now has a tracker on her car, she is a direct suspect in the data breach. How careful will Enrico/Allen be connecting up with Ezra? The insertion of Miller on Acheron was a given since it was the purpose of the attack. The Navy should have shuffled the ships out of caution. Why access Finch's funds again?

So Sinclair is the puppetmaster or thinks so. How did he co-opt Enrico into this plot? Enrico doesn't like him. Perhaps Sinclair's days are already numbered.
