Each of them are tortured by their own fears. So far they have overcomed each other's weaknesses by sticking together. They'll get out of this too.

Cosmo is appropriately horrified by the attack on Pietro, but not enough to betray Betta. Luca is being uncharacteristically brotherly. Where did his all his snideness go? Cosmo is making an effort, but Betta is persuasive with her anarchic ways.

Marco finds himself in unknown territory as an object of admiration and desire. I liked the awkward moments which ring so true and the recalled symbolism of the swifts. Betta has made good on her threat to get back at Pietro, again all about her and I feel this will backfire. Betta surely recognized Marco which may make his visit to Giorgio's interesting.
